After finding a new Dentist and visiting 1 other I was told by both Dentist that the work she provided should have cost me no more than $1,100.00 but was charged almost $2,300.00. (which was not covered by insurance) In my conversations with her office I was told that if wanted to speak with her regarding the work I would have to make an appointment for her to explain why she did what she did forcing me to pay for an office visit. He's the only dentist I've ever seen and I plan on keeping it that way for the future. He's even out of my network for my dental insurance so you know I mean business when I pay that higher copay just to see him! What I love about Dr. Carlin and his staff is that they're always so welcoming and accommodating. They truly treat me like family! 2 years ago I had a freak running injury where I tripped and face-planted. I busted up my lips and two front teeth badly. That day he took me in immediately and did the most amazing job repairing my teeth. His staff gave me plenty of ice and even had milk and snacks on hand so I could take some Motrin for the immediate swelling. You can't even tell they're not my real teeth! 2 years later and I just had my 6 month dental cleaning. I mentioned that my two front teeth are doing well but there was minimal staining on them from the accident. Dr. Carlin is now going to do some more dental work to make them good as new .... to no extra charge to me. Beyond blessed to have such a wonderful and caring dentist! He will also do everything he can to try to save you some money by offering alternative treatment options. The office staff is great too. They truly do care about their patients. I was in pain. Extreme pain…read more My trusted dentist referred me to Bay Pointe because x-rays showed no abnormalities in a molar I suspected of being the problem. The team at Bay Pointe squeezed me into their schedule and was prepared to do an emergency root canal. Upon a very thorough investigation, it was determined a crack in my molar was the issue. (the use of a special dye made it visible) After sharing with me that a root canal would not solve my problem, they contacted a highly rated oral surgeon and made an appointment on my behalf (again, getting me 'squeezed into' a schedule). The next day I had the troublesome molar extracted. Every member of Bay Pointe's team was very kind, courteous, empathetic, and most of all, highly professional. Their knowledge and performance define 'excellence'.

They wanted me to pay almost twice as much as the out-of-pocket portion for the root canal. Suspecting something suspicious, I told them I had to go to the bank and get the money they were demanding. I was told that unless I paid them then and there, I wouldn't get the root canal, and my insurance and I would still be on the hook for the exam and x-rays. No root canal for me! My subsequent call to my insurance provider shed more light on the matter. They were trying to get more than one and a half times what they were supposed to charge!!! AMAZING!!!
