Got into an accident and needed the front end of my vehicle replaced. After two test drives where we felt that it wasn't driving safely, we told the mech that it was still very loose in the steering. We were told that it was tightened as much as possible. However, it was very apparent that something was wrong, the vehicle was veering all over the road. We got a second opinion from a mechanic off post and the diagnostic concluded that the front end was installed wrong. Parts that were touching should not have been; they should be free. Upon calling and attempting to recover part of our funds for the installation being done improperly, we were met with denial of any wrongdoing before the owner would even look out our evidence. Instead he decided to find our vehicle based off of our home address(misuse of personal information) and phone harass us and our new mechanic. My front end was reinstalled by a different mechanic off post and now it drives as it did prior to the accident. It was their recommendation that I attempt to get a refund from New Beginning. They said that the work done was very rushed and not done correctly. Because of the improper installation, the alignment could not have been done. This shop charged me for a diagnostic (was not done), an alignment (was not done), and to install my front end (done improperly). Refused our diagnosis from the new mechanic before even looking at our vehicle. They still have not provided a refund for the shotty, rushed work that they did. I would not recommend this place at all. They will gaslight you into believing they did good work and not care to fix any of their mistakes. Go off post if you don't want to be stolen from and taken advantage of. I've never met such dishonest and rude people in my life. read more

This review has been crossposted from Google. -- Saying you never worked on my car is a boldfaced lie, I'll attach the invoice (where my name is incorrectly spelt) if you'd like the proof. I left a 2 star review with no comment because I did not feel that the service I was provided was the usual considering the reviews. However, after the short conversation I had with the owner this afternoon, I am so glad that I took my business elsewhere. The work they did on my vehicle seems solid, they were easily able to determine the reason for the check engine light. They replaced the part and completed an oil change within a timely manner. My problem starts when they noted a misfire in my engine. The price they quoted me (also attached below, with additional typos) to repair the misfire didn't sit right with me, although that was not the major issue I had dealing with this business. My major issue was the lack of professional communication. I am not incompetent when it comes to cars, but I would expect for the shop doing work on mine to explain in better detail what the issue is, how the work they suggested would remedy the issues, and for them to be able to answer the questions that I had. That communication never happened. (In addition, I don't think taking a photo of a computer screen with a phone and texting it to me is professional. Every business I have ever worked with was able to send a quote over email, but maybe I'm just nitpicking on the fact that it's difficult to read.) The lack of communication in addition to the price I was quoted made me question if allowing them to do the work was the right move. I am lucky enough to have friends and family who either previously have or currently do work in auto shops. I reached out to one who is a technician to see what their prices would be, as well as sending them the quote I received in hopes they could help explain what was happening. The friend was able to work up a quote for similar work (having added a Fuel & Intake Systems Cleaning to their invoice) that was $540, in comparison to the $864 that New Beginnings quoted me, as well as explain the issues going on and how the work would help. The location of their shop is in different state, I knowingly took that into consideration but they confirmed with me that something didn't feel right about the quote and urged me to call other shops in the area. So I did. Every shop that I called was able to quote me between $500-600 for the same work New Beginnings wanted to do. When I mentioned my concerns about the price to new beginnings, I was told to try one of the military relief programs or to get a military star card, I was not given any information as to why their prices were noticeably higher than the other businesses around them. When I tried once again to get clarification on what the issues were and how the work they suggested was going to fix it, I was met with hostility, no clarification and felt as if I was being rushed off the phone. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and am more than thrilled that I did. The new shop had a huge difference in the quality of customer service, identified an additional issue with my vehicle, communicated in a way that made me feel confident with their work, and repaired everything same day. Even with that additional issue I was charged close to $200 less for the work that New Beginnings quoted me. I will attach the receipt from the other shop for validation. Now, to end this long review I want to reiterate the fact that I wasn't going to speak on the issues that I encountered. I thought that my experience was a fluke, maybe I caught them on a bad or busy day and that's why I encountered issues with the communication. I convinced myself that I was the problem because all of the positive reviews left here... Came in today and the customer service was top notch! I don't know the gentleman's name who had fixed my car but he was super helpful and quick, he made my 09' car look brand new! New Beginning Automotive is great, I like how they hire veterans and really are informative. I went for a flat tire on my Tesla and they plugged it for free and informed me that I needed two new tires that were almost bold. So once I get the new tires I will come back so they can fix it. Their safety concerns and knowledge makes me trust they but also support the business. I like that people really care. read more

I came in to get a diagnostic, they found something wrong with my car and I ordered the part at the shop to repair it. Once I noticed that it was something else wrong with my car (something different from what I was told at the shop) I asked for a refund on the part. The owner stalled for weeks until I had to go up there physically everyday until I got a refund. Not only was he rude, he was prejudice deliberately asking me if "I needed a refund on EBT." Its sad and disrespectful that people feel the need to belittle and ostracize someone because they simply want a refund for a part. But it shows the integrity and true colors of not only the business, but every employee and owner involved. read more

Considering how fast the service was done. The installation of my new oil housing installed it was good. However, because of owners own ego as he said "I saved you 800 for making sure you didn't need a new water pump". Now my vehicle engine had a huge malfunction because it did need a new water pump. Now not every mechanic can find the cause of the problem but if I am first or last customer to his business.. who's it to say your not the next person.. read more

No sign stating pricing for them to read your vehicle. Did not state any price before or during. Any dealership or automotive shop would state pricing before starting any work on any vehicle. Already reported to the BBB. I am now getting harassed from one of the guys that work there. Highly advise to not go there at all. read more
