They inspected the brakes and said the rear brakes had some life left in the pads and rotors. They replaced the front pads, rotors, and calipers for $970 .When they ordered parts a wrong part was sent. The re-ordered but called to say it would be finished by morning. Fast forward to the next day. I picked up the car and the brakes work perfectly. I think I have found my new service mechanic shop. They offer good work at affordable prices. I will use them in the future. They don't have a shuttle service. I only spotted 4-5 chairs with a TV. The room was clean and there was a coffee pot. Mitchell's Automotive is the greatest auto repair shop I have used in over 40 years! Being retired Army and now living in Richmond Hill for over 10 years, I have wasted thousands of dollars on four different businesses here locally. The final straw was when I received an estimate of $3600 plus $200 for diagnostic to fix secondary air injectors on my 2008 Toyota Tundra (named Semper Fi after my late father-in-law). After checking Mitchell's excellent reviews, I took a chance with their $135 diagnostic exam. Two days later, it was only a minor repair from a squirrel or rodent chewing through the wires! My total bill came to $475, to include an oil change and tire rotation!! We are picking him up today and our prayers of finding a trustworthy business to service our vehicles is finally over. I've been a customer for over 20 years. And have always had expert on time experiences. I had actually forgotten about them for 10 years and drove over to see if they were still in business with the Same ownership and was extremely grateful they they were!!! I had a new set of tires and a tune up done and it was done a bit under the budget and ON TIME!! I started with them about 25 years ago as a student and literally had my transmission placed in my trunk by another mechanic-tearfully I went to them from a referral of a classmate and they saved my car!! I look over at Mitchell's Auto, and I just want to cry. They took complete advantage of me. I am 65 years old with cancer. I have no money, so my beautiful son paid $1500.00 for a gosh aweful brake job. He put ceramic brakes on a 14 year old car. He charged $115 per hour. The brake job sucked, and had to go back because of errors made on their part. My brakes were scrubbing still, and making noises. I'm so over this place. GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I'VE WARNED YOU. I wish I could say something good, but after two tows and breaking down four times in six weeks, I can't. Even after I was told the issue was due to them putting the wrong parts on my car, I had to pay two $200 tow bills in less than two weeks and pay for Uber rides to get me home. When I asked about reimbursement for the tows, due to the negligence on their part, I was told no. I now have a non-running vehicle, paid $1200 for parts and labor, was sent out on four occasions with the same wrong parts, $400 in tow bills....and all I can say is buyer beware! read more

These guys are really nice, do great work and have great pricing! The evaporator core on my husbands old Ford Fusion(AKA the dog mobile) went out so there was no AC. My husband did a lot of research on this and contemplated fixing it himself, but it would require him to rip the dash out and the way this summer heat is set up right now outside it wasn't happening. It's pretty pricey to fix though and we got a lot of different quotes for it. These guys at Mitchell's were very reasonable and got the car in quickly and fixed that same day! We've been driving it now for weeks and it's been great having AC again, and taking the dogs to the dog park! If we need any more work done we will be back, and I recommend it to anyone else needing any work done on their vehicle! read more

I took my 2011 Jeep to them because I just moved to Savannah from New Jersey and all of the positive reviews. It needed front wheel bearings and I also asked them to check my exhaust manifold because it needs replaced. They called me to tell me that my Jeep was ready same day. I asked them if they found out anything about the exhaust manifold which is extremely noticeable when the vehicle is first started. It had previously been diagnosed by the dealership, so I knew exactly what needed to be done. The gentleman stumbled to answer but then said that they didn't notice anything, but it is probably just an exhaust leak. He noticed that the vehicle was from up north (salty, snowy winters and it still had NJ plates on it), they had a hard time doing the bearings because of all the rust, and that my entire vehicle was very badly rusted. I know my cars and I know that my vehicle is a typical northern driven vehicle and the normal rust that can easily be worked with by products such as PB Blaster. Bottom line - if they would have been willing to do the work, they could have gotten a significant amount more money from me as well as a permanent customer. read more

Not impressed. Came here based on good reviews but I have to say wasted my time. Clearly stated i had an engine problem and what I've already done. Long story short 86$ later and he doesn't have an engine guy to fix my truck. Also he was done with it by Friday but didn't tell me until Monday when I called. A good honest mechanic is hard to find, but we found one! Being new to the area and after leaving the mechanic I used in NC for over 10 years I was skeptical about finding another good one. The search is over, we will be using Mitchell's from now on. The first of the year my husband had the same work I had to have done which was brake pads and rotors by another mechanic and paid well over $100 more. My Jeep broke down and I had to get it towed to Mitchell's on Sunday. I've been going to them regularly for the past 4 years after having several questionable experiences with other autoshops inside Savannah. These guys have the flexibility to keep your car running at minimal gain for themselves, and have excellent tire contacts. They have even taken the time on several occasions to either give my carless wife a ride home, or wait around for me to drop a vehicle off despite being closed.
