The food is always good. The only issue is I noticed that the guy at register addressed my 8 yr old granddaughter like this "hey girl" "how old are you?" I didn't think anything about it until later. He asked her because he thought I was going to lie about her age to save a few pennies? It was already reasonable less than $50 for 4 people. I spend more than that at Wendy's for 3 people. But, the food is always good. And I always prepare my plate with my eyes in mind and not my stomach. Will frequent again soon. read more

The staff at the front are very friendly and happy. The place is pretty clean there have been a few times where the bathrooms were gross, but over all clean. A ROACH IN MY FOOD AND THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER RECEIVED!!! As if it was not bad enough that I found a roach in my food they thought $14 of the $50 I paid to eat here was a good enough refund!!! Then when I expressed how I was not satisfied and wanted an entire refund he argued that sense I was the only one that had the physical roach in my food (ITS A BUFFET) he wouldn't refund the cost of the rest of my party's meals even though we left immediately after finding the roach!! When I told them I would be leaving a review WITH A PICTURE OF THE ROACH IN MY FOOD he proceeded to catch an attitude and started mumbling under his breath as I left the restaurant! The food here is good cheap Chinese food. If you're looking for authentic Peking Duck, keep looking. If you want the same food that street vendors in China are eating, keep looking. If you want Americanized Chinese food at a decent price that keeps you happy? Then come here. The service was excellent - quick, friendly and unobtrusive. It's an all you can eat Chinese buffet that doesn't use MSG. They have what I like to call "in-land sushi". It's sushi made with cooked fish, or crab, or shrimp. Is it as good as what I had in LA? No. But it's safe, it's tasty, and it's made by the plate full. It's a nice place with decent food and good prices. Fie on you, haters! read more

I was craving Chinese and wanted to try a different place than my normal stop. Bad idea, because I'm paying for it today. The outside needs some landscaping work BADLY. The shrubbery is unkempt, but I didn't go for the bushes. The best part about the buffet was the coconut shrimp, broccoli and lo mein. Everything else was just meh and I didn't finish any servings of other dishes I tried. Service was fine. I've only been to this restaurant once and it gave me the BGs. Will I be back? Was rude from he entrance I don't know if it was from my look or from my race or what but as soon as I came in the door the way he made eye contact with me wasn't good!! He then got rude and called me a liar cause I stumbled by my kids ages cause I was still distracted by the look he gave me !! He tried to argue me that my 1 and 2 year old daughter where 4 and 5 and then when I said I really don't wanna eat here now cause this man just called me a liar he then said then leave his worker lady right next to him was still tryna give us our plates cause she seen I had cash he then put his hand over hers and suggested we leave !! Me my wife and my two daughter 1 and 2 !! It'll be a while til I go back!! I go where my family get treated right and hopefully the food is ok !! Picked up the buffet here on way home from Jackson to BR the other day. Had some of the sushi, and a variety of items from the buffet. Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Also, I've never been to a Chinese food buffet where like 50% of the offerings aren't even Chinese (chicken nuggets, etc.). My stomach churned with cramps all night long. We used to love bobo's, but the quality and taste of the food has gone downhill rapidly. We visited recently and were seated, got our plates, then our waiter came to tell us if we got another plate we'd have to pay more because they put crablegs out (none of us eat crab legs, I am allergic to shellfish...) Um, okay? I told him this, then felt like he was inspecting our plates when we went to get fruit. Not great service, imo. read more

bo bo's has definitely went down in the passing years. none of the food looked fresh - it looked as if it had all been stirred around quite a bit. the selection seemed smaller, as well. maybe it's just been awhile since i had been there, i don't know. i think i'll stick with the hibachi grill if feeling asian food in the future while in brookhaven though. read more

Do not eat here. It is the absolute worst "chinese restaurant" in the entire country. Note: a fried corn nugget is not chinese food. And if you do eat here, you will probably witness a crime in the form of the kitchen staff getting into another knife battle with one another. Stay away. For chinese food, drive to another town. I give it ZERO stars, but 1 is as low as YELP allows. read more

Service is always pretty good. Food is about 50/50 for me. Sometimes everything is hot, fresh, and tastes delicious. Other times it tastes like it's been microwaved and been sitting on the steam tables half the day. Price for the buffet seems a little on the steep side for me, especially since you never know what to expect at Bobo's. The price would be fair if the food was a little more consistent. As you can see many of the negative reviews are "old ones". So we gave them a chance and were pleased with the service, cleanliness, and food. They were 3/4ths full and service was still good. If you choose to-go orders the portions are VERY generous. Give this restaurant a try. You will be glad you did. read more

The food here is really gross. We came around 7pm on a Sunday. The food had apparently been sitting a while... The potstickers were dry and the liquids had all turned to goo. You pay up front so I'd advise a walk-through before deciding whether to stay or not. The decor is quite entertaining as well. There are LED plants everywhere (which appears to be a trend in Brookhaven?), a picture of mustang horses with their heads popping off the wall, and the best thing is the stuffed deer head over the door. Of course there is Koi scattered in other places as well. You can fill your eyes and your belly here, if you can stomach it. Good luck. read more

Rating 3.5 Stars. It's been a long time since I've been here. Used to love it, but due to several bad experiences, I'd sworn off ever coming back. Decided to give it another chance today. Tried all my favorites: Hot & sour soup = perfect. Just what my unsettled innards needed. Fried wontons = exquisite, just like they used to be. Egg rolls = crisp & wonderful. Sautéed beans = Blecchhh. Tasted like they'd been cooked in old oil. Made me not want to try anything else and all that wonderfulness now thrown into question. Come on, Bobo's!! Average Chinese buffet. They serve all the same stuff as most. They have a sushi bar that is ok at best. They have a wide selection of food. Just nothing that stands out as being great. We take the kids here because it's fairly cheap and they can always find something. They serve crab legs at dinner also read more
