Whew chile. Bring yourself on down to Chiter ling lings. They have food for the whole family. This is one of those places that you feel like you get food poisoning before you even walk in. Thought i had heard where this place had really tanked but you can't believe everything you read but.....I was right because it really is bad! I understand things have changed because of covid, but if you cant maintain the basics, should you even try? We were given the cheapest plastic utensils to use. The disposable plates were the very flimsy styrofoam . The food looked and tasted like it was from the day before. The chicken was questionable if it was even thoroughly cooked. Black Mold around their AC vents! Price is 10 times more than it should be! Don't bring kids, their kids prices are higher than what an adult's meal should cost! You have to pay before you can get to the bar so you can't change your mind. The service is very pathetic! read more

I will never go again that is for sure, Mold on roof and around vents. Waiters don't ask if you are good only if you call for one. I liked one food there and that was the potato wedges. Bowls are left wet. And macaroni I would not feed to your kids it doesn't taste like right. My son and daughter in law told us about China Buffet and so glad they did. It will become our go to restaurant from now on. We loved it!

If you like crunchy peas and bland fried rice, this is the place for you. Not impressed.

China Buffet will make you pay the full price just to sit at the table with your family/friends without even eating. The food is very low quality and doesn't have a very active staff. The staff is usually busy and can't tend to tables as much as they should. The kitchen grade may be an A, but the overall experience is an F. I am usually not this hard on restaurants but this one is just so exceptionally bad that I had to state my opinion on it. read more

This place was freaking horrible! The buffet price is a few bucks more for dinner than for lunch because they offer seafood. I don't go to a Chinese buffet for seafood. There's seafood buffets for that. The seafood that was offered this past Saturday night was boiled crawfish, some kind of fried fish (Pollack I think), crab legs, and something that they called fried shrimp. The fried shrimp looked like no fried shrimp that I've ever seen before. It wasn't even shaped like a shrimp. I tried two of the crawfish, blah... no seasoning really. So let's shorten this up a bit. Here's what I enjoyed out of what I ate. The seasoned potato wedges were good. As was the egg rolls. Both appeared to be from a food service company. Can you say Sysco? Pretty hard to mess that up, but they did. I was waiting for them to bring out some fresh egg rolls. When they did, I had to sort through the pan to find one that was not sitting in a marinade of grease. I managed to find three that were crispy and not soggy. The vegetable fried rice was decent. I've had worse at other places. Every chicken choice that was available was unexciting. The décor was gaudy as hell. Two giant pictures hung on opposite walls. You know the ones I'm talking about..the pictures that move and have sound that you see being peddled on the corner of Transcontinental and Veterans by some guy in a Ted Bundy van. You think that guys lives down by the river? So my bill for one with a beverage came to a total of $13.48 before a tip. Will I visit this place again if in the area? Hell no! I left here till hungry and stopped at McDonald's down the street for a number one combo. Save your money. read more

The food is tasty affordable and filling. I like it because it is different than the normal burger and fries.

Definitely not the best I've ever been to. Egg rolls are tasteless. Most all the corn nuggets, fried fish, chicken on a stick, etc had no flavor whatsoever. Sesame chicken was swimming in sauce. Shrimp mushy from being over cooked. Beef and broccoli and slight flavor. Fried rice pretty decent. If your in a hurry and don't have time to wait on an order, will work in a pinch. But for good Chinese it's not the best place to go. And to top it off, two people on a weekend night with two cokes will run you $40. read more

The China Buffet located on Veterans Blvd in McComb Miss is your typical Chinese buffet.I have eaten here a number of times so here goes the quality of the food varies each visit alternating between fresh and not fresh, hot and cold, and flavorful and not flavorful . The staff are not friendly they just come to your table and do their job nothing extra not even a smile. Just ate there tonight. It was horrible food everything was cold. Food was not as good as it use to be and the bathrooms were so disgusting I didn't even want to touch the door to go on in to wash my hands. Wallpaper was falling off the walls. Really, really bad. We have been for both lunch and dinner. First of all, the decor is old and tattered. Booth seats are held together by duct tape with springs protruding. At lunch for right at $9 per person (not including drink), the food is tasteless and pretty much all chicken. Sushi is mushy and bland. Wait staff seems bored and unconcerned. At dinner, the only difference from lunch is that they bring out the crab legs (which go so fast that the first three people fill their plates leaving the pan empty, and you wait 30 minutes hoping more will be served) and a few shrimp dishes, and you pay about $15 per person for that. Y'all, what has happened to this place? The lunch buffet today is practically inedible. Entrees are either bland or over-salted, stir-fried vegetables are either mush or raw, sushi looks plastic, dumplings are crisp, fried wontons are stale, fried rice is crunchy. About the only thing palatable are the egg rolls, which are only slightly better than what I can pop in a microwave. This was $10 WASTED. Sigh. Went for lunch during the week, food was old, full of chemicals even though they say they do not use MSG, few selection of veges tasted fishy, meat was very tough, egg rolls were old, little buffet and menu variety, sushi was tasteless. Hostess's told me one thing but would not honor at checkout so BEWARE! The food was ok, nothing to brag about. The table service was good. The managers DO NOT know how to deal with customers. This is the second time that I was over charged there due to an error made by the girl checking me out. When you question them they get very rude and the lady who is, I assume, the manager will start yelling and that gets the attention of the other customers that are eating and I must add, that is quite embarrassing to me. We were in with a 3 ticket party. When we checked out each person paid for their items. I was the last of the 3 to pay my portion of the bill which was for 2 (11.99 + tax) adult buffets and 2 waters. We were all taking and I didn't realize until after we left out that the amount I paid did not seem correct so I went back in to have them check the error. I was informed in a very rude way that the cashier had made a mistake with the others and I had to pay. Now, we all checked out at the same time, the other 2 were ahead of me and by the way, they paid their correct amounts, but had already left the restaurant when I realized they had over charged me. I called them on the phone right away and they checked their tickets and they were correctly charged. They were speaking Chinese, which is fine as long as they are not discussing my situation in my face when I don't speak Chinese. There were several workers that all gathered around the front counter to have their input but were only speaking Chinese and Very loudly I do want to add. Our waitress was called to the counter and she tried to explain to them that they overcharged me but they just kept getting louder and louder. They little waitress finally look at me and said I will pay you out of my own pocket, of course I told her no way. She told me they do this all of the time with people in groups. I started out being embarrassed because 3 of the workers were very loud and one was even on the opposite side of the restaurant yelling (the manager) very angrily. So, all eyes in the restaurant were on me. Then, I finally had enough and diplomacy ended with my telling them to keep the $4 and change but I would never come back there to eat. This is the second time there were errors made on tickets. The first visit they over charged my friend, so when they reacted the same way with her, she just said oh that's ok because she didn't want to be embarrassed.
