They also do sandwiches and lovely cakes, again all homemade. The staff are all lovely and you get the feeling that most of the customers are regulars. The Lubin is well loved in Morecambe particularly among the older residents, although my sister and I adored it's charm and the food aswell.

It is clean, the service is fantastic, and has great breakfast with fresh fruit. FYI: The hotel is very hard to find, can only enter from King Street. Not to the hotel's fault, but the town is poorly planned, too many one way streets and poor signage (it is on the buildings at inconsistent heights). We had a rental car, and circled the block the hotel was on for 45 minutes before finding the street. Even the map for pedestrians of Blackpool city is not entirely correct. If you don't have data plan or phone, you will never find it. Wifi was not available in my room, only in lobby.

I think there are 20+ rooms here and the bedroom pleasant, with modern but traditional furnishings. A old-fashioned dial telephone, and bookshelf of authentic old books sat alongside my bose radio. Anyway the views from the outside patio and restaurant are breathtaking, especially at sunset, overlooking the river Hodder and hills of farmland. I think you can fish here for a small fee if staying in the hotel. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great, I had chicken pate, followed by melt in your mouth fillet of beef. There is a wide range of drinks on offer, and the shop Vintners sells plenty of wine, alongside Molton Brown products, which are also used in the rooms. Lovely little place, worth the trek.

All rooms have colour tv offering a wide range of digital channels and there is free parking at the front of the hotel, which is a must when staying in Blackpool, it is also only a 5 minute walk to the pleasure beach and should you require any essentials there is a corner shop just up the road. The rooms vary in size but are all clean with fresh towels and bed linen. There is also a small bar downstairs serving a variety of drinks and should you require an evening meal this can be arranged in advance. All in all a great place to stay and can't be beaten for value.

I was recommended to try the New Osborne, from the first contact I had with Mike was the start of the first class service we were to experience all weekend. On arrival, Mike greeted us with the most welcoming smile I have ever seen from any B&B owner in Blackpool (we have been going for the last 10 years annually). He showed us to the rooms and they were very clean. The toilets and shower rooms were spotless (not a usually for Blackpool I tell you) clean bed linen and tea and coffee supplies. He had given us the complete top floor to ensure we were all together and everyone of us was very happy at our accommodation. After we all got ready we went downstairs to the bar, which was well stocked up and Mike was very friendly, we could have stayed there all day but we had planned to go and watch the fabulous Joey Blower, Mike confirmed that the bar would be open for us when we got back. After a fantastic day around Blackpool we came back to the hotel, and sure enough Mike was there waiting for us. He served us drinks till it was ready for bed and we had such a laugh with him. Next morning we woke to the smell of breakfast, I have got to say it was the best breakfast we have ever had in Blackpool and we all cleaned our plates! Mike even offered for us to extend our rooms if any of us wanted too, however, we have all decided to venture out into Blackpool again so he offered to look after our bags and we had no reservations about leaving them with him as we trusted him totally. The price varies according to how near Christmas it is, we are goind at the end of November because people have other things to do in Dec so we got the cheapest rate of £40 per head (think its £60 in Dec) sounds a lot but when you consider what you do get it isnt really. On arrival theres unlimited bucks fizz and canapes, you're then shown to your tables were there are bottles of red or white wine ( rose if you ask) when your bottle is empty you hold it up and its replaced very quickly meal is pre ordered starter served by you're waiter/ess. main is carvery with meat / veggi / fish choice help yourself to loads of veg / salad choices. pudding is pre ordered and served at your table. Theres a disco, and Christmas themed quiz to follow. You will get a ticket that you exchange at the bar after the meal, thats for your first drink, after that you need to take you're glass with you or you dont get served. All the drinks are named brands and there is no limit on how many times you go back to the bar. At 11.30 they serve mini fish and chips in cones then free bar closes at 12. They are doing a cheap rate on rooms if you would rather stay over. If you add up how much a meal, drink etc costs when they dont come as a package like this you can see what a bargain it is.
