Very pleasant and understanding staff. Jaimie is wonderful. I saw Dr. Mastromialis and he took great care of me. He had quite a bit of work to do and the experience itself can be a bit off putting, but he talked me through each and every step and his bedside manner was epic. "I had a pleasant root canal"... says no one ever.... HOWEVER, I would recommend Dr. Mastomialis because other than the nature of the procedure itself, he made me feel at ease. He was very attentive and patient. Jaimie let me know exactly what to expect financially so there were no surprises. Everyone is on the same page at all times and I really appreciated that and it makes me feel at ease and I could focus on healing. I recommend this establishment. read more

My spouse *and* my mother are vulnerable to both COVID and RSV (as in, either could die from one of these diseases). So obviously, I am cautious. Walking into New City Endodontics (Maria Vinieris) crowded waiting room was a very bad experience. There seemed to be a really long wait time, and the fact that NO ONE was masked tells me a lot about how these people care for their patients. Even the doctor walked out of a treatment room (or whatever you call them for dentists and endodontists) without any kind of mask, and she'd just had her face down in someone's mouth. The receptionist had this snotty look when I walked up to her desk wearing my mask. When I tried to explain that my family was vulnerable, she didn't ask if I needed any precautions--heck, she didn't even make any of the polite noises non-sociopathic people make when I tell them. Instead, she gave me stink-eye. Maybe she's over-worked. Maybe she had a headache. Maybe it was just a bad day. But her lack of empathy freaked me out, so I made a flimsy excuse (more than they deserved) and walked out. IF YOU EVER READ THIS, NEW CITY ENDODONTICS, know that your lack of professionalism in your waiting room is disgraceful. Fire her. Maybe you're just getting her for cheap because she's family or something, but she sucks. read more

This dr was absolutely amazing. She put me completely at ease, which is not an easy task as I have a complete phobia when it comes to dental work. In addition, I had to get a root canal, on a tooth that was very difficult as the space had narrowed a lot. I had absolutely no pain, and she made sure it was completely done by doing X-rays to check. I highly recommend her for anyone in need of a root canal. She has a very pleasant bedside manner and is totally patient and understanding with chicken like me. read more

I was sent there to Maria Vinieris D.D.S New City Endodontics. P.C. by my very nice dentist, Lloyd Kranes Nyack. I had a problem tooth, which needed a special root canal. My whole experience at New City Endodontics was awesome! The staff was very accommodating. They do have state-of-art equipment. Maria Vinieris D.D.S was phenomenal and as she explained in detail plus showed me on the screen how she was working on my problem tooth (which apparently had a few roots) Her assistant Venessa was a sweetheart. Maria spent some time working on me. She did a great job and I was treated with the utmost care. I never had another problem with that tooth! I Highly recommend New City Endodontics! read more

My husband was having tooth pain. He was told to get a second opinion for a diagnosis he received. He was referred to New City Endodontics. He called to set up an appointment. He was told they would call him back to set up the appointment. After a few days, he called back and they repeated they would get back to him. Another week went by, he called again and was again told they would call mhim back. They never did. If the reception staff can't even get their act together to make an appointment, he figured maybe this isn't the Endodontist he should use. He ended up calling another local Endodontist office and was able to get an appointment 4 days later. Geez, what's so hard about making an appointment??!!!! read more

Absolutely amazing in every aspect. I was referred to Dr. Vinieris through my family dentist. I had a cavity form under an old crown and had to get a root canal. A short history of my background consists of 23 surgeries and a petroleum accident in 2002 that caused a nerve disorder. Everything affects me way different then regular healthy people. For instance a common cold for the average person lays me out. My immune system is tanked and I have high toxicity of metals in my system. With that said, I have to be injected far more than the average person. Dr. Vinieris listened to my every need and was very attentive to what I was explaining to her. She did the procedure and it was pain free. It took 3 weeks before I could chew on that side but again that is due to my preexisting conditions. my second visit was just as tough on me but she once again took care of me pain free. I cannot say enough about this practice and the professionalism and care that was given to me. I would recommend this office to anyone in need of Endodontic care. read more

I was impressed by the work done by Dr. Maria Vinieris. This was my first root canal ever, and it was done on a front tooth crown. I had dental abscess which needed to be drained and cleaned leading to two appointments. Dr. Vinieris has a great personality and makes sure you are comfortable. She goes out of her way to ensure you a painless procedure, and for me she delivered. I was a bit nervous going to an Endodontist and having a root canal, but wow I will not be worried anymore. She numbs the area until you can't feel a thing and does great work. Just put some music on sit back and let her do her work. read more

I called in August after getting a referral for my dentist for a specialist to finish a root canal she started but couldn't finish due to the curve in my root. After several calls and sending x rays they said they would get back to me but never did. I called back in late November again trying to get an appointment. I again sent in my X-rays and after 4 calls they called back and said the endodontist "did not want to get involved" in finishing the root canal. I reminded them I also needed a endodntist to do the root canal on the tooth in the other side which hadn't been started at all because the curved root. They then said they were booked very far out. I said okay well let's get something set. They said they would have to call me back to do that and never did. A dr voung out of *congers dental arts* got me in the next day and completed the root canal and I would highly recommend him. read more

I have terrible teeth, a direct result of awful Dentists when I was young. Thus creating really bad dental anxiety. From the moment I called to make my appointment I was put at ease. Their main question was are you in pain? "Can the appointment wait until tomorrow where we can give you an appointment or do you want us to squeeze you in today?" I was able to wait for an appointment but I really appreciated that they were concerned about my pain. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and did not have to wait very long for my appointment. The dental assistant was great at easing my mind before Dr. Vinieris came in. When Dr. Vinieris came in she explained the procedure step by step. She is also awesome at blocking the tooth so I was not in pain. The tooth gave her a bit of trouble but she administered more novacaine and I never felt a thing!!! She has amazing hands that are gentle and agile she was able to complete the root canal quickly and without pain. When I was finished the front desk went over any medications prescribed (and had already sent them to the pharmacy!!) as well as explaining in detail what to expect while the tooth healed. The also gave printed instructions and said to call if I needed anything. Dr. Vinieris and her team are amazing from start to finish !! I have many root canals in my mouth and this was by far the best experience I have had. I have recommended her to my friends who all have had the same experience. Again no one wants to have a root canal, but if you do you want to be in Dr. Vinieris care to have it done! read more

Dr Vinieris is a smart efficient and kind doctor with excellent bedside manner. She is amazing for people with dental anxiety. She also does an excellent job of blocking a tooth so you don't feel pain and adds more pain relief if you begin to feel discomfort. Doctor Vinieris also has gentle hands that are agile small and narrow. (much easier on the jaw and face due to less stretching) The use of a dental dam during the procedure also adds an additional level of mental comfort, in knowing that you won't accidentally choke on sharp tooth debris. Notes: 1) Keep in mind that wait times can be long. This is to be expected since unknown things may crop up in mouths of patients in the chair before you.. extra tooth roots, etc. Know this, she is worth the wait and you would be happy that she would give you the same consideration and care if your appointment was running long. Calculate in the extra wait time before you go so you won't stress out about it while you sit in the waiting room. 2) If you need to call the office to get quick information about your dental records, understand that you may have to call to give the office a bit of notice. They store records that are not current in another room in the building, and not all records like notes are digitally accessible through a computer. In summation, Dr. V is worth any inconvenience, because you will feel the difference in the chair and during recovery. read more

Patients BEWARE! This is not a place were they care you or your issue. Attempted to make an appointment for a root canal. After asking all my personal information & insurance, I was then left on hold for 5 minutes. Being well aware they were looking up my coverage & reimbursement. When the person returned to the line I was not given an appointment , but told they would call me. I attempted 3 separate times to get seen, but was told the typical statement that I was now use to, "we will call you".Being a medical professional myself for 24 years, I find it unethical to be lied to multiple times with a promise of a call back for a service this practice advertises. read more

I have never written a yelp review before because I have never had this bad of an experience somewhere. I am only giving this two stars because her bedside manor per-say is fantastic. I choose to pay out of pocket for my root canal because she came highly recommended. However, I had nothing but a bad experience from the moment I stepped in the door. Poorly schedule appointments lead to long wait times. I have waited for over an hour every time I have gone there. The root canal itself was painful the entire way through and a month later I am still in the same amount of pain. Apparently it's another tooth now. Needless to say I doubt I will be going back especially when I can find an endodontist in my insurance plan. read more
