    Adam Marrujo is the absolute worst. When my daughter declined his advance he promptly posted a…read morelease violation with bogus reasons along with a lease termination form on her door. Adam asked her to come in after hours for paperwork signing and key pick up. Adam then sent her a Facebook friend request. The other staff in the office are also rude and attempted to defend the issues they were informed about. To bad Adam does not spend as much time cleaning the properties he rent out like he does engaging in inappropriate behaviors with his female renters. Adam bullied my daughter and discriminated against me stating I could not have my service dog with me when visiting my daughter(I even have a handicap placard for my vehicle) The property had a STRONG STENCH of cat urine and my daughter and I spend hours attempting to steam vacuum the disgusting odor out. My 13 month old granddaughter received numerous bites all over her tiny body and Adam & staff tried to say it was mosquitoes when the bites were obviously too large. There was cat hair on the window sills and dust. The stove and oven were disgusting with grime and build up. The kitchen cabinets were sticky with buildup. Under the kitchen sink had a leak and upon further investigation it was obvious the leak had occurred for a long time,the wood was black in areas and soft. The dishwasher was unusable with grim and rust. The bathroom shower/tub had pain peeling off. There was back dirt and grime on all base boards. Renting from this company is a huge mistake,they rent slums.

    DO NOT RENT FROM STEINBORN & ASSOCIATES…read more First, I have to say I loved the house I rented, but I felt Steinborn & Associates treated me like dirt. I wish I would have read the reviews before I rented the house! (1) Within six months, sewage backed up in the showers. I called a plumber and there was a blockage in the sewer line. Steinborn & Associates said it was a new house (even though the owners lived at the property before I rented the house), they would not pay the bill ($183.71). There is no way two people (my adult son and I) could have blocked the sewage in less than six months. (2) The property managers NEVER answer the phone. They will only text or email. In addition, if you have any questions or complaints they refer you to the lease agreement. (3) Due to unforeseen circumstances, I moved to another state during my lease. I was specifically told they would list the property when I moved out and try to rent it to another tenant. I moved out in July and the property wasn't listed on the website until November (my lease ended in October). Based on this experience, Steinborn & Associates does not have the tenant in mind. I payed almost $2,000 for three months. This caused financial hardship. Again, I signed a lease through October, but Steinborn & Associates could have posted the property for rent in August. (4) Read the rental agreement! Apparently, I did not read the contract very well. Steinborn & Associates conducts home inspections. I have rented in several states and have never experienced this practice. The only reason I can think of is they are looking for signs of smoking or an animal (if you have reported that you do not have one).

    My boyfriend and I have had some pretty rough rental experiences in the past, so it was so…read morerefreshing to finally find some folks that make a point of taking care of their tenants. We live in some of their townhouses in the University area, and the units are wonderful, and appear to be generally well-maintained. The management team is always easy to get a hold of and make a point of communicating with their tenants on upcoming scheduled maintenance via printed flyers left on the door (so you can't miss it!). Maintenance always happens in a prompt manner (just make sure you get your requests in early, as maintenance is only available in the morning). And Tres, the maintenance guy is a nice fellow. In the three years that we have lived here, the only real issue that we've had with maintenance was when our air conditioner went out on a weekend at the height of summer. If there is an emergency maintenance number, we were unable to find it on their website or elsewhere. We finally replaced the pump ourselves (it was unbearably hot), and on Monday they told us they would deduct the amount spent on the pump from our rent. We were fine with that arrangement. The online payment portal is easy to use, and we've never had any issues with neighbors. I highly recommend renting from this company. We have not been disappointed. I'm not sure how they are in the fairness of dealing with refunding deposits, but if it is similar to the other treatment we have received, then I don't think we have anything to worry about.
