It pains me to write this review because I really had hoped that he would've done a better job.
Ricky was terrific in the beginning until he wasn't. Our new 5 ton HVAC system is supposed to be capable of 2000 CFM, however he only installed 2 10 inch ducts and 1 12 inch which is about 300 + 300 + 650 = 1250. Not even close to 2000. Needless to say it's not cooling down the house because there is no air flow and it's "freezing the coils." the intake is a tiny 16 inch. (I found this out after finally getting a second opinion after 9 months. yes i trusted Ricky for 9 months until all the issues.)
Issues:
1. had some instances where no one showed up on a scheduled work. (slow in text and replies)
2. GAS LEAK! worse of all offenses. Spent $300 to get a third party come out to detect the leak from the system. No teflon tape! The gas company came and shut down our gas for 2 days.
3. During installation, he used an older exhaust without checking what's below it. Needless to say we had carbon monoxide for 6 months in the attic from the water heater. He had to come back and install a new hole in our roof.
4. When it finally warmed up 5 months later after installation, i finally got to use the A/C and guess what, it wasn't cooling because they missed some refrigerant or something. I don't remember but he had to go to the store and buy it. It seemed very basic but they missed it.
5. After i had Around the Clock Air come out to check. Ricky said, they can no longer come and fix our issues because apparently I wasn't suppose to get a second opinion. (that's how i took it but of course he phrased it in a way that the third party "disassembled it" even without proof. therefore the warranty is voided)
Note that we recommended Ricky to our friends in the beginning because we thought he was doing a great job. you really won't know until you use the system to find out. He blamed us for raising the ceiling for some reason which only really added 250 cubic sq feet of space and he knew about it before installation. It's like why not just admit the issue? It's really simple - No air in the registers except for 2 in the bathroom. I mean that's really it! You should see my texts with him. No apologies just excuses and blaming the client for some reason?
I will have 2 more HVAC companies come out to check the system.I am not setting them up with any information but just "please inspect the system".
I am willing to retract the bad review even if just one of the 3 says the system was calculated and installed correctly.

EDIT(7/18/2019):
So I had two more professional HVAC companies. And the fear I had is true. We've been lied to for 9 months. To think we were going to do a video review of the company.
Anyway, one of the HVAC company left my house really "pissed" stating why someone would do this to us.
This is their description:
"After inspecting the system we found did the duck work is not properly calculated and installed but this is the least of the problems. Evaporated coil is not a horizontal application coil. It's made for vertical application therefore there is no drain pan and condensation water is
leaking into the secondary drain pan that is there for protection. The return area is not sealed. There is a 20 x 5" gap open and it's sucking air from the attic. The flu pipe for carbon monoxide exhaust is not properly
installed which can lead to carbon monoxide explosion/Poisoning and
there for it is hazard. ..."
My conclusion is either Ricky is incompetent or really just a terrible human being practicing shady business practices. One could only hope it's the first one. read more
