Advanced Attic Solutions offered the lowest of price for the attic care service. However, i realized i got what I paid for. Sloppy work that needed oversight. Several "shortcuts" were attempted and there were questionable construction decisions that presented potential safety hazards and headaches. Their machines continually broke down and a one-day job quickly turned into a 3-day job. I was told they would return to remove rodent traps after 1-2 weeks. I haven't heard from them whatsoever. I had a good experience with Advanced. I'm the homeowner, and I got a much better bid than what my GC could get. I was working with Alex from start to finish. Out of all the insulation contractors I talked to, he was the most knowledgeable, and was able to give me everything I needed. Spray foams and batts. The tricky part was some closed cavities that needed to be filled with closed cell foam, insluding a roof cavity, and Alex knew the product and had it, which other contractors barely knew of: PIP 250. I'm building a SIP house, so air sealing was important. Rim joists, garage ceilings and such got normal closed cell foam for air sealing. Some ceilings got fiberglass batts in addition, to meet r-value cheaper. Some sound insulated interior walls and ceilings got Rockwool Safe n Sound plus fiberglass to fill the cavity cheaper. They also foamed penetrations between floors, including the attic. They missed a few spots there, which I foamed myself, and they didn't get the holes on the top plates like I asked, but those are relatively minor complaints. The job turned out well overall, at a good price. I'd recommend them. read more

A month ago we bought a home in Rancho Vista; the home inspector told us that the insulation was old and rodent infested. We researched many companies and decided to go with Advanced Attic Solutions. Alex and Ariel were very straight forward and, unlike other companies, they didn't make a big mystery out of the job. Alex got back to me in a timely fashion and it was pretty obvious that this company had handled this type of thing many times before and knew exactly what to do. On the day of installation Ariel came out with his team and supervised all the work. He put our minds at ease by explaining the process; they would bag and remove all old insulation, thoroughly disinfect the entire area, check for tiny holes, seal them with screen or foam, then cover the area with radiant barrier and new insulation to achieve the correct R-Value. There is a science to this work; too much insulation can be just as detrimental as too little - these guys know their business. A very good humored person, Ariel continually checked on the team. Then, at one point he came down from the attic and said he had to explain something, it was not good....the rodents had chewed right through the old ductwork and built nests inside! I wanted to cry. The cost would, of course, be more, but Ariel and Alex worked with us, realizing this was big surprise for which we were not prepared. We agreed on the solution and the price. They continued with the work without delay, now removing the old flexible ductwork and preparing to install new, and also to clean, with soft brushes, the rigid ductwork inside the walls. Ariel explained the process and products they use to disinfect the inside of the ductwork to insure the safety of the air inside the home. When the job was complete they cleaned up the area and took away all of the rodent infested insulation as well as the old flexible ductwork. A few weeks later Ariel came by again to inspect the job to make sure everything was as it should be; I was so surprised to find that even on a very hot day in the Antelope Valley, with temperatures near 100, our attic is rather cool! The radiant barrier and new insulation are doing their job. I learned that Attic Solutions is not just the company for "attic" issues, but also the "go-to" company for just about anything regarding home projects. I highly recommend this company and it's a nice feeling to know our attic is rodent free, disinfected, and well insulated. If therewas a 6th star I would not hesitate to award it to Lidor and Alex who are part of the the family that owns this business. I commissioned these gentlemen to spray foam the whole underside of my roof including the garage. I met with 3 different insulation companies and I will say that Attic Solutions wasn't necessarily the lowest bid but being in the construction business myself I knew not to base a decision on price point alone. Lidor came to my house and quickly calculated my needs and gave me a quote on the spot which reassured me that he knew what he was doing and he did it with confidence. The reps for the other companies were not as forthcoming with pricing right away. They wanted to see my other quotes before they committed to a final price for me. I shared attic solutions quote with one company just to show them how quickly they came thru for me and he offered to beat their price but why would I do business with someone who operates that way? I stuck with Lidor due to his open and honest nature and he did not disappoint! My install was not ready for another 2 months after my original quote and he still honored my original pricing even though prices had gone up and he was under no obligation to keep my pricing intact. Talk about stand up behavior! Finally the day of the install came and the crew showed up on time and I felt terrible because I realized that I had not prepped the areas for them. I had not moved the clutter out of the way but without hesitation or complaints they immediately began the process of moving and covering items with plastic which I had not expected them to do. Once they started spraying I saw the lead tech guiding his crew making sure there was no daylight peeking thru any of the spray foamed areas. Super super thorough job! I couldn't be happier with the results at that moment but then imagine my surprise when the lead tech informed me that they had gone a little over board in some areas and used more spray foam than they originally had calculated. I'm an honest guy myself and I saw what he was talking about so I thought I would call Lidor to let him know of the situation and offer to make it right. Well, it turned out I didn't have to call him because he and Alex showed up towards the end of the job to check in on their crew. Again, they showed me their character. Their customer service is off the charts! At this point I told Lidor that I would pay for the extra material they used and I should have known at this point that he would refuse. I insisted but couldn't convince him to let me make them whole so I did the next best thing and gave his crew a tip as a thank you for all their hard work. So I guess it goes without saying that i highly highly recommend these guys, I know that I will be using them for all my projects and I will be pushing everyone I know to use these guys as well. Absolutely the BEST attic company out there...this is a major understatement ...Read On....I had interviewed not 1 but 7 companies ( most had good reviews) .... but let me tell you the nonsense I heard from these other companies... (get to that in a minute) but Advanced Attic, wow true to their word and a million times better....we had a sudden big rat population & tried everything to remove them. They even came into my home big teeth and all, in broad daylight, right into our family room while my son had a sleep over! It was a nice Sunday morning and I hear sudden screaming from the boys, " Mom a rat with big teeth" The boys all grabbed bb guns & shot it to death- Icky but I didn't feel bad as these rats are now uninvited guests ruining my home. And if you think thats bad how about -Urine leaking from ceiling, ceiling corners with rat feces falling down from rafters and loud noises below and above - I couldn't believe it. We are clean people too... we clean nonstop...But There in my ATTIC was extensive roofing debris (left behind from a roofing job), and old insulation completely urine soaked and huge waste from RATS. Very large rats ( if you saw the poops, you would see what i mean by large)...I could have just cried. We spent a lot of money just installing a new HVAC system as well and large vents in installed in the attic that can be ruined by these nasty creatures...(we saved for years to finally have HVAC and now RATS) RATS about to ruin our new HVAC ( they will chew anything). However, Advanced Attic gave us not only an amazing price they did such an amazing job l, an expected one day attic clean with an install of insulation and rat proofing took an unexpected 2 entire days to complete!!!! Because our attic was filled with so much debris and rat poop & old insulation. Advanced Attic had to suck out so much waste it filled twenty gigantic bags we are talking hot air ballon sized bags- using huge powerful hoses and suction machines filling these bags to the limit ...and then making multiple trips to the dump site. SEE PHOTOS . In addition there was debris far off in corners of the attic -very hard to reach corners and this took a lot of time, both to remove and in skill- the level of difficulty to get the waste from these attic corners was incredible- bending and twisting like a contortionist ...just to reach waste and debris in the rafters and corners...to find and seal all rat entrance holes, too! The ADVANCED ATTIC team then sanitized everything, every surface...every part of the attic and installed very high quality organic insulation. Advance Attic was TRUE to their WORD even though the job was way bigger than expected, they still came back on a Saturday (adding a whole extra day) to complete the job and did so on a terribly hot day! This is a family owned business and they were more professional than any of the so called " corporate Brochure types " .. sales guys that come and give you ole' song and dance about how the attic requires a hefty fortune.. just to clean another fortune to rat proof claiming they will need expensive camera equipment and recordings to find rat entrances ...to be sure they " aren't coming from a sewer" yes this is what one company stated " they could be sewer rats" ...I thought to myself "sewer rats in my attic?" This guy was nuts!!! And to these nonfamily corporate types I Say this " Save the B.S. " and " Save the planet " I Don't need a fancy brochure I just need a company who is exceptional, reliable, does what they say they are gonna do ... out of all the companies who impressed me the most it was Advanced Attic...super fast turn around from the estimate to the start date! Advanced Attic - they went way above and beyond, could have charged extra for the extra work, they didn't! Could have skimped on the job But They Didn't !! This company is BEYOND amazing! From start to finish, I received exemplary customer service from Alex and his team. After I reached out via Yelp, they called immediately and scheduled a site visit for the very next day. Alex went through our attic and gave us a quote right then and there. We were greatly concerned about not having insulation with the coming heat wave which would put our new AC unit in overdrive, so Alex scheduled a crew to come do the work in just two days time. The crew was incredible! Aside from being really nice guys, they vaccumed out all of the debris and rat droppings, sealed all the holes and cracks with steel screens and foam (there must have been hundreds!), and laid down brand new insulation in our large attic. They also made sure to seal off the hallway around the attic so that dust would not blow into the house. And, after they finished the inside, they went around the perimeter of the house to seal off any openings where animals could get inside. They were fast, efficient, and super clean! What blew me away? After they finished the job and as they were about to leave, I made a comment that I wasn't looking forward to putting back the 60 heavy boxes in the attic that we had taken out before they came to do the job. Overall, the Advanced Attic Solution team did a great job and made my project easy. From the quote to the clean-up after the job there was very little worry. I had one issue arise when they removed all the insulation and realized they wouldn't be able to use the "blown in" type on the raise ceiling portion of the attic. The Shop Foreman called in and received permission to "upgrade" to batt which could be stapled in to make sure the job was done right. The team was quick - I was skeptical of them getting it all done in one day but they are in at 8 am, worked tirelessly, and on their way by 3 pm. Every step of the project from the initial inspection through the carpentry, the sanitation and old insulation removal and of course the new insulation was as described and expected. The carpentry team required little guidance and delivered the finished product on time and as expected. The larger part of the project included the removal of the old insulation, sanitation, sealing and reinsulating. After the project started the crew indicated that the HVAC ducts were beyond repair and should be replaced. The additional charges were very reasonable and all the attic work was completed on one day. I do recommend Advanced Attic Solutions and Ray that kept the project moving correctly.
