In August 2022, the office was still very nice and had the most friendly staff with the most caring doctors and nurse practitioners you could find. Unfortunately, I wrote something that was a lot cleaner and organized than this, but it was deleted, and I am in too much pain to focus on writing that again. I have been dealing with a lot under unfortunate circumstances, and was not able to get in until January. I finally thought I was going to be treated right and I was going to be able to walk again. Unfortunately, no. They do not care. Recently After going to two visits, I received a letter that I was being booted from the practice within a month (ironic that the same day I received another letter on MyChart that another nurse practitioner was leaving the practice) even though I was not getting the proper help I am very very upset because I have been going here since I was about 15 years old, so I would say about 20 years and I was desperately hoping that I would finally be able to walk after three years. I cannot find another primary care for at least five months. Not one person had asked who the man was that called and canceled my appointments. I was literally stuck/held inside a house for almost3 years, my own house until somebody did something about the situation. I was not able to receive help for my health. The staff is now awful. Everything has changed. Everything. The receptionists are rude, you get hang ups and they show their true colors pretty easily. At my appointment with Courtney Tessani I had to ask her to look at back. She didn't once look at my legs or feet that I had told her were very swollen and I could not fit in my regular size shoes, I could not even fit in a shoe size that was over three sizes too big. She did not worry about my blood pressure that got to 220/110 and remained high while at the hospital. I told her would go a bit down briefly once I took my medication by 2 hours after taking it already would be through the roof again. She did not go for a quick two minute walk with me to see how the pain started and the other symptoms that happen when I am walking and standing, like the severe anxiety, dripping sweat, and how hard it is to breathe. She had nothing to say when I told her how weak my once in shape muscular body was now. She had nothing to say when I told her I couldn't even shower. Each time I will stand and end up sitting in there nervous how I'm going to get up and not fall; a mother does not want to have her kids see her like this, she doesn't want to have to call her 15-year-old son into the bathroom to help her up. After the first appointment, I got my x-ray and they told me I had some type of scoliosis, but they didn't think that would cause the pain I was having. But they never wondered or even talked about what the cause of the pain I was having was or could be. I had called after that and asked if she could order an MRI, and the nurse Zoe, who is supercilious and arrogant only, had told me her view on it..reminder, she is not a doctor. I had spoken with Dr. Tessani in the next few days at my appointment and I reminded her that in MRI and CT scan are very important steps to look into what the issue is for somebody who is in the pain that I am. I don't want any medication. I want to be able to walk again. I want to be able to stand up for more than three minutes, not leaning against something. I am not in my late 70s. I am 35 years old and this has been happening since June 2023. She said she was going to send something in for an MRI, I had called MtAuburn Hospital to book it a few days later and they are the ones that told me it was not approved which is shocking. But after I've been trying to speak with my doctor or any other doctors since February 20th (that day, they acted like they had no clue it was denied, which I know is false) I had to speak with Zoe again. She condescendingly talked over me the entire time and pretty much told me that the doctor wasn't going to order an MRI and CT and I had to remind her that between her and my last conversation I had seen Dr. Tessani and she did order it. After waiting longer, I had to speak with Zoe, again she was even worse if you can imagine and pretty much said that Courtney Tessani is not doing anything about the insurance not covering it because when she had ordered it, she basically said she did not think I needed it. So it goes to show you that Courtney Tessani does not care about my health, situation, and what she had sent in for the MRI showed that she did not care and pretty much told them that she did not think she thought I needed any further imaging or help.

I have RA and none of their procedures would work as I'm at the point where my joints need to be replaced. They refused to take over my pain management from my doctor, which makes me think they should have a tagline with their company name "Advanced Pain Management Center (except for pain medicine) and I wouldn't have wasted so much time completing a huge packet of paperwork and the time going there. I guess if procedures could help you then check it out, if you need pain care medication management, look elsewhere!

I will probably stay through shear inertia but would encourage those looking for a medical practice to stay away based on my recent experience which has been horrible. They referred me to what they described as a reputable specialist for my procedure. They called me to confirm an appointment with this specialist and I assumed I was all set. A month later, the day of my appointment, I called the specialist office to confirm and discovered that no appointment was ever made. They scheduled an appointment with me for the following month. When I called to complain to Sagov they had no record of the original referral. Now it is two months since my diagnosis and the specialist called to reschedule two weeks later. Assuming I ever get to see a specialist it is now looking like almost three months from diagnosis's to even seeing a specialist. I don't believe my condition is life threatening so think I am fine. However, the referral system is questionable at best and am now doubting the quality of this specialist. Please consider an alternative to Sagov's Family Prqctice Group.

Inpatient has a commitment requirement that the patient will participate in physical rehabilitation for three hours every day. I found this immensely beneficial, since some places just leave you doing little or nothing every day. The rooms look like The Four Seasons Hotel! I was in a room of my own...all hardwood, large windows with water views, a nurse with no more than seven patients. Lots of rehabilitation work, but everyone is very attentive. My nurse was phenomenal. There are no meal menus. An attendant comes to your room with a wheeling computer cart, and reads you menu suggestions, but you are always free to voice your own choices and wishes. Food was delicious. There's so much detail to every single thing here! If you HAVE to be somewhere, it's a terrible catastrophe, but being at Spaulding, Charlestown is the best!

Poor old Stinky P. has not had the best of luck lately trying to get around without falling. A few…read moremonths back he took a bad fall and ended up having to have Hip surgery at MGH. It was not an easy surgery for him because...well...he is old and frail. He was then shipped to Spaulding for weeks of rehab. The facility is very nice, all private rooms with big TV's and couch. The staff there is very attentive as most patients there do require a lot of care. Poor old Stinky could not do much but they did keep him busy with therapy...physical...occupational...and speech. The therapists were really wicked pissah, especially the physical therapists. They utilize a nice gym well equipped for various treatments. They were all very patient and considerate of Stinky but definitely wanted to push him to maximize his efforts. Special shout out to Josie who was very kind to old Stinky and used her considerable amount of charm and persuasiveness to convince him to want to do more, even if he was a bit tired and cranky that day. She is a true gem! Back on the patient floor...the PCA's were true heroes doing the not so fun parts of patient care. They were very hard working and attentive. Special kudos to aides A. B. ...truly a super kind and most efficient young man. He will be very successful in whatever he wants to do in his young life. Also to Marie...very good spirited and fun and very dedicated to her charges. Always liked to see RN Elsie come on duty. What a lovely and sweet lady. Big kudos to RN Briana R. She always made sure old Stinky was well taken care of and had a truly winning personality. All the nursing care there was really wicked pissah though. The doctors Stinky dealt with were very kind and ambitious to find ways to help him with his various afflictions. Food was pretty good...some dishes yummy and others...well...not quite as much. Not really all that hungry when ill though. Stinky did have a few complaints, but not many. Stinky was kind of sorry to leave Spaulding as they took good care of the cranky old dude. It is a good place to go to get some groovy rehabilitation.
