The team at Post is simply on a higher level - the quality of PT practitioners and the way it's managed and run is so good it's not even comparable to the other places I've been. It's not fair to compare them because they're not playing the same game. I'd been living and training with a confusing set of related injuries for almost 10 years, constantly in and out of physical therapy with no real progress -- and after 10 months with Luke I feel like an athlete again (and...get this...I'm still DOING my homework routine because it isn't boring and it actually works). The therapists ask more questions, listen more intently, consider different approaches, get down to root causes, and aren't satisfied unless there are actual results that I can see and feel - even the intake / evaluation feels better and smarter. They take the time to explain things in terms I understand, they coach and teach (instead of preach and assign seemingly random homework with generic 1950s line drawings), and they go to great lengths to show how the movements and therapies I do affect my pain / range of motion / performance. I was so chronically injured when I showed up that I didn't feel like an athlete anymore - I'd totally lost my physical confidence. Far from being dismissive, Luke gets it and is masterful in approaching the complicated interactions between the psychology and physiology of physical pain and dysfunction. I would feel I was shortchanging them if I didn't also comment on just how well-run the place is. Appointments are on time, people know my name and say hi, you work directly with an experienced therapist, they respond to emails and phone calls quickly and personally, it's squeaky clean and neat, they remind you of appointments, they help deal with the annoying insurance details...it's a whole other level than I'm used to...both the practitioners and the operations staff. I interact most with Luke and Vanessa, who are reason enough to recommend the whole practice...anyone folks of their caliber would work with must be doing something right. (though that said...everyone I've met is friendly, clearly knowledgeable...and just seems like they really enjoy their job!) A few months ago I developed a frozen shoulder superimposed on a labral tear. The pain and restricted motion was so severe, that I went to an orthopedist for surgery, but I was told I had to get back my range of motion before having surgery. Physical therapy was prescribed, but I didn't go right away, since I was afraid of someone making it worse. I started stretching it myself, with some benefit, but I was still worried as to whether or not I'd ever get back to sports. Then a personal trainer of a friend recommended POST. I went and got Christian Reyes as my therapist. Christian has been working with me for 1 month now, and I'm nearly to full range of motion with little pain. My shoulder is so much better now that I am rethinking whether or not I even need surgery. Although initially I was worried about an overzealous therapist pushing me too hard, Christian has been the exact opposite, putting me on a carefully paced program of exercises. In fact there have been times where I was pushing myself too much, and he had me slow down, to make sure I didn't reinjure myself. The facility has easy parking, and my sessions have always been right on time to the minute. The balance between my daily at-home or in-the-gym exercises and the massage/stretching sessions at POST are working so well that I'm certain now that I will get back to normal sports activities. Another benefit that I'll have the rest of my life is a new mindset towards physical health. The shoulder exercises that Christian designed for me are so unlike any I've done before, that I'm begiining to use a similar strategy for my legs and core as well, increasing my strength AND flexibility simultaneously, rather than strength at the expense of flexibility. read more

POST Physical Therapy provides a much higher level of care than anywhere else I have been. I am a physician and an aging runner. Post Physical Therapy cured me of my Plantar Fasciitis, compounded by Parkinson's Disease induced dystonia, at a time when I just felt like giving up. I had spent more than a half a year seeing podiatrists and other physical therapists looking for a way to escape the pain and tremor and I was only getting worse. I had intolerable pain. Then I was referred by a podiatrist to see physical therapist Luke Ferdinands at POST PT, and everything started improving rapidly. Luke's confidence and experience and determination to stop the cause of my pain and suffering led the way. Most recently I came in with a debilitating hand injury just 12 days before our team was competing for the D1 National Championship. I have been doing therapy for knee pain with POST for about two months, only leaving because I am moving, and I wish I could stay on. The people at POST are extremely friendly and actually care a lot about their patients, from the front desk staff who are kind, flexible, and remember your name, to the therapists who are incredibly competent and thoughtful. I worked with Jai and could not have had a better experience. I felt like he truly cared about me, really knew what he was doing, and probably most importantly, made me understand why I needed to do the exercises and what we were working towards. I definitely feel like I've made a lot of progress since starting. He listened right from the beginning to what my goals were, and tailored a program to fit those goals and my needs. He was always friendly and a pleasure to talk with, and is a great listener. When I would come in not feeling perfect, he always proved at that and tried to get to the bottom of the issue, which I think went above and beyond expectations. One thing that surprised me about POST versus other PT I've done in the past is that they have a focus on massage as part of recovery. I started going to see the folks at POST a year ago after suffering with plantar fasciitis for close to 3 years. By the time I got to POST, I had gone through 3 different doctors, had 2 cortisone shots, and had been in a boot for a total of 9 weeks. I had a significant amount of scare tissue build up. I couldn't walk without pain, and my lower back, hip and ankle were starting to be affected by it. I was told that recovery would be long and I might never get back to my optimal level of activity. Surgery was the next option. It's now been a year of slow and steady work with POST. Luke put me on a gradual increased weight-loading program that was calculated and geared towards my needs and where I wanted to be. The team does a great job of making sure your treatment is personalize, they don't just go through the motions, something I've experienced with other PTs. I'm a gymnastics coach and two of my gymnasts were treated here. Both girls were unable to practice or compete for several months because of nagging knee and ankle injuries. One of the girls was cleared to practice weeks ago and the other just returned to practice today. These girls were primarily treated by Lauren and occasionally Brian. As the girls' coach I can say that both of these therapists great with kids. The therapists really did a great job in preparing and helping my girls return to the sport they love. I was concerned about their clearance to participate but Lauren was very clear about determining any limitations and corresponding with me regarding their readiness to return to my team. I'm really quite impressed by the progress these girls made with the physical therapy they received here. I'm recommending that all of my gymnasts be treated here when physical therapy is needed. read more

During a pandemic all health issues are put on hold. So it took me a while to get a diagnosis for a pain I had for a long time, and then I needed in person PT services. It was very frightening to start my meetings with Olga but it turned to be a great success. For the first 2.5 months, we met twice a week and after that once a week for the next two months. During this long time Olga introduced exercises and performed massages . At first I had lots of pain, but she managed to help me and after each session I felt so calm and well.  The area we used was cleaned up after each client. Olga is lovely and I will miss our talks. She helped me to forget my pain and helped me to get back to my old self. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a PT in the Post- Brookline location. I have been being treated at POST since October, and have mostly been seeing Lauren. She is a miracle worker! Lauren is knowledgable, thorough, and takes time to hear me out. She is also incredibly realistic about recovery time and exercises I can&will do independently. Not only that, but I can ask her questions about what is going on with my body and she will listen attentively and answer me in ways I can understand. Most importantly, I feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed when working with her and I feel amazing when I leave! I have also seen Brian on occasion when I couldn't schedule with Lauren. Brian is also an excellent therapist who is attentive and does great work. I never worry about scheduling appointments and seeing any of the therapists at POST. I had Physical Therapy a few times before, but this time with Olga at Post is the first time it actually made a difference. I started therapy in October with severe knee pain. I could barely manage stairs. Olga showed me how to do different exercises at my own pace. Whenever I couldn't do something because it was too painful, she quickly found a more comfortable workaround. She also told me continue the exercises at home. I did, and it paid off. I can now manage stairs pain free and with confidence, thanks to Olga. I also want to thank the hard working office staff who saw me through many phone calls to doctors and the insurance company. Amazing place to go for physical therapy! I will recommend POST Physical Therapy again and again. I had a fantastic experience with the therapists and front desk staff. Everyone was more than welcoming and pleasant to work with. The entire staff is highly knowledgeable about all kinds of injuries and how to best support your needs. I came to POST after working with a different PT at another PT group in Boston. The front staff at POST have always been super helpful and responsive. This review is primarily for Christian Reyes. I worked with Christian for about 2 years and he has helped me through may recurring and difficult back, hip, and knee injuries. After my first visit with him I recall feeling relief very quickly after following his recommended exercises for a few days. Christian is also a very kind and dedicated PT. I recently moved to a new city and Christian went out of his way to communicate with the new provider to ensure continuity of care. POST Physical Therapy made the entire PT experience very easy for me from the scheduling of my first appointment to coordinating with my health insurance. The staff were professional, courteous, and genuinely interested in my recovery. I appreciated how clean and organized the space is. Parking was always available regardless of time of day. The best part of POST was working with Daniel Schloss who worked up an accurate assessment of my problem, put forward a realistic therapy plan that I could follow with him and at home, and showed caring and concern for my recovery. I have been seen at POST PT twice for two separate issues and I cannot be happier with their services. I work with Scott Caplan, who has been very effective in quickly diagnosing the issue and finding the right corrective manipulations. He's very personable and easy to talk to which makes the sessions fun and a great distraction if I am in pain. Their customer service is outstanding, prompt responses, friendly front office staff (Vanessa is the one name I know, but all the gals are great) and my appointment always starts on time. There's plenty of free parking which is great for the walking wounded. I have seen Luke for three different injuries over the past few years and he consistently gets results - fast - every single time, even when i showed up with something that two different therapists at another local PT office couldn't figure out at all. If you have pain, Luke will help (while making you laugh, too!) I am impressed with his skill every time. I have had fantastic experience at Post PT with Lauren. I have a rotator cuff injury and I did not know how much it was bothering me until I started to get better. Lauren knows EXACTLY how to massage and work work the tissue and I have gained increased strength and function much faster than I had thought possible. I hated every moment of rehab but without Luke and his attention to my injuries from time and time again I would not have been able to recover in the time and degree to perform any of the high intense activities I participate in. This place is the real deal. They truly care about making you understand your injury, which goes beyond just fixing you. And then they ensure that you are stronger after.
