I used to go to this dentist with my family for many years. We left because I was being overcharged. I kept close communication with my insurance because the bill wasn't adding up. It was a 2k difference. We worked it out with them and the insurance by three-way calls and documentation. I got charged properly and let it be. I didn't leave a bad review. We left, and guess what? Fast forward to today, almost four years later, I received a bill from years ago that I had already paid. If you go here because it's pretty and they are nice, just make sure you speak with your insurance and keep track of what you pay, or don't if you don't mind paying extra. I really hope this place stops harassing patients with the back-and-forth nonsense and gets organized. It's really a waste of time and energy. read more

I had been a patient at New England Dental for many years, the quality of care was good with Dr Chae. I respected Dr Chae, when I first went in to his office he explained to me very honestly, he didn't like pain, therefore he ensured me he tried very hard to ensure little or minimal pain, I trusted him over the years, until recent (within the last three years) I'm no longer serviced by Dr Chae but Assistant. I was not given the choice, I was told basically at appt. Going to the Dentist is nerve reckoning already, I had built up trust in Dr Chae... There's also no regular Dental Hygienist in office, so I would go in nervous, because like a box of chocolate, you wouldn't know was it a temp or an agency, some were hit or miss in areas of cleanings or exams (can be a bit more uncomfortable). a filling done, that had to redid by the Assistant at no charge, because it was under warranty (seemed to have started a problem) The Billing Manager "Jackie" very condescending and unprofessional. I received an additional cleaning in December, which made three for the year. Not because I needed it but because of mix up with service, I should've asked questioned about the service, thought I could trust the process. read more

I had a molar that just broke off at the gum line. I wasn't chewing ice or anything! Dr. Choi explained carefully what my options were and made sure I understood the pros and cons of each option. She was very helpful and took all the time I needed to understand. I decided to go with an implant - most expensive option but the best for my situation. The pictures are pretty terrifying. It looks like there will be a giant screw in my mouth that will come out of my cheek! That look may be good for some people but it's not really my style. Both doctors assured me that it isn't like that. Today was the big day. Dr Chae told me nervous is normal and then got to work. About five minutes after starting he said "the tooth is out"! Then he did some drilling and fiddling and, in less than an hour after I walked in the door, Phase One was done. Absolutely no pain from start to finish!!! read more

I drove 55 minutes from Lemont to this place for nothing! They told me over the phone that I can get treatment that day and that a walk in was enough. But when I show up, they tell me I can't get treatment, saying there are other patients. Before arriving there, I even called them 3 times to ask questions and confirm. They could have just told me in 1 of those 3 phone conversations that treatment wasn't available or that it was too busy, so I wouldn't waste my time and energy. But they didn't. I have been coming to see Dr. Chae since 2006. I have been to other dentists before I discovered New England Dental Group, and let me tell you, there's just no comparison. Unlike other dentists, Dr. Chae does not try to sell you on unnecessary procedures and gimmicks. Dr. Chae takes the time to explain to you in detail of the procedure prior to anything being done so there are no surprises. His easy-going demeanor keeps me calm...and god knows I need it. I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Chae makes the whole experience much more tolerable. The office is very bright and modern with a hint of Frank Lloyd Wright decor. All the equipments are state-of-the-art, not like some other dental offices where when you walk in, it's like taking a trip back in time.
