We have red oak wood floors that were installed in the late 1960's - The floors were well worn, stained with pet urine and the color was not uniform. I called New England Floor Sanding in a panic when the original company recommended by the flooring supplier said he wasn't sure he could fit us in. Sam also said he 'd have to check their schedule, but promptly called the next morning to advise that they could start the following week. We had three new wide plank red oak floors that needed sanding and finishing and Sam and Mike did a beautiful job. We took Sam's advise and went with a semi gloss finish instead of the tongue oil recommended by the first company and we are so glad that we did. Sam and Mike are the best! I have a small apartment in Newburyport and the wood floors needed some major refinish work done to them. The wide pine boards had been neglected for many years and looked terrible. Although the job was a small one, I called Sam and he fitted our job into his busy schedule and his price was reasonable. When the job was done, I was amazed at the finished product. Was planning to do the job myself, reserved a drum and orbital sander from local rental store which when I arrived, found they over booked on the drum sanders. Brought home the orbital sander and it was apparent after a couple sweeps that was not going to work. Found New England Floor Sanding company info on the web.
