Probably the best Dr I have ever been to…read more I have been seeing Dr Moodie for the past 3 or 4 years for a neurological condition. She's thorough, smart and has a very pleasant bedside manner. Appointments are never rushed, and every time I walk in, she is on top of my previous appointments, symptoms, test results, etc. In other words; she does her homework, takes the time to know her patients and genuinely seems to care. I have been doing very well since under her treatment, and pretty much, all credit goes to her her for keeping me ambulatory these past few years. Initially, I was probably not the best patient. As likely true with most any drug(s)/treatment, sometimes they can come along with a certain amount of risk for some nasty, sometime serious side effects. Dr Moodie has always made me aware of this--and not once was I pressured, or rushed into making a decision on any particular treatment. She always gave me the facts, urged me to look into it, and I was the one who ultimately who made the decision. I'd highly recommend her, and hope she never relocates.

From my very first visit, she has always laid out the information in a clear and concise manner and left the decisions up to me. For the past five years, I've been taken on a tedious and unrelenting tour of just how much MS…read moresucks. But every day I feel grateful for the fact that the Elliot Lewis Center is in my area and that their unbelievable staff is in my corner. I've been a patient of Dr. Joshua Katz since I was first diagnosed with MS, and he's everything you want a doctor to be. He's one of the most intelligent people I know, but he's not afraid to say "I don't know" and to consult with colleagues and literature to get more information for you. As I write this, he's in Stockholm at the ECTRIMS congress to learn about the latest MS research and developments, and he's sharing updates with ELC patients on their Facebook page. He's hosted live online Q&As for patients, and it seems that whenever I email him with a question or concern, I have a response within an hour or two--even on weekends. And Dr. Katz is just one member of the team at the ELC! I've never met a patient of Dr. Ellen Lathi who isn't breathlessly praising her performance. I had my first appointment with Dr. Kenneth Gorson last week for intramuscular Botox injections, and I was so impressed by his ability to understand and address my movement issues. Their other staff members--from the reception desk to the infusion room--are so helpful and efficient that I actually enjoy days spent there hooked up to an IV. I'd be remiss not to mention the contributions of Jackson and Tiger, the very sweet ELC service dogs/mascots. I've met people who drive hours to get their treatment at the Elliot Lewis Center. If you make an appointment here I'm sure you'll see why!

A one stop place which offers patients everything from diagnosis to treatment, pain management and specialized physical therapy is is staffed by award winning physicians and nurses who are friendly and welcoming. This Wellesley facility is beautiful and if hospitalization is ever warranted the doctors on staff have admitting privileges to a variety of area hospitals. No one should ever have to endure MS. It's a horrible and often unforgiving disease. Having said that, there's no place better to seek out help.

Unfortunately a friend need a neurologist, she got recommended by another doctor. First appointment she fit her in right away, But after my appointment there was a huge lack of communication. She went for testing and didn't get the results until she called her back after three calls. year later had to make another appointment. this time no appointment wasn't until six months later. I guess she had to work around her time. unfortunately had to cancel the appointment patient got sick that week, but need a refill of a medication that Chaves prescribed. Her nurse was extremely rude, because of cancellation The nurse said she couldn't refill the medication. The prescription wasn't expired it just needed to be adjusted because the insurance. The nurse proceeding on arguing with her telling her that wasn't she looking for a new neurologist, you haven't seen Chaves for a long time. The patient told her that this medication was important to her well being and Cheves needed a ride up why she wouldn't give it to her. like a miracle she went to her pharmacy and it was there. Talking to other patients I have learned that it's usually the nurses that are lacking not always the doctors and because you have to deal with the nurses you get sometimes rude ones and ones who think they're on top of the hill and might be just cause you just a little bit too much trouble. Unfortunately because of the nurse that patient has extinguished her relationship with Dr.Chaves.

The diagnosis came quickly and the surgery, performed in a hospital, was several days later. This procedure was successful and Dr Ty answered all our questions and kept me apprised of Mom's recovery status. There were 2 follow up appointments in this Chelmsford location with Ethan Dionne, PA. The appointments were on time. Ethan has a comforting bedside manner and was patient and kind with Mom. The reason this is not 5 stars is the building itself. There are no automatic doors, so anyone needed a walker or wheelchair likely needs another person to assist here. Also, the threshold is high and not only a tripping hazard, but Mom had a hard time getting her walker over it to enter and exit the building. It seems a business who has a lot of patients with physical challenges would retrofit the building to accommodate to make it easier to access. This is a convenient location with a good amount of parking, although the spaces are fairly close together, making it challenging to open the car door sufficiently to get a walker in place. I missed finding the building at first, as I mistakenly went down Meetinghouse Road, which is parallel to the NE Neuro building. It is actually the entrance NEXT to Meetinghouse Rd and shares a parking lot with the Lowell 5.
