I've been a patient for decades. Had a laminectomy in 2021. L4 and L5 have been a problem for years but decided to forgo surgery on that issue for as long as I could. Last few months have been in significant pain. Tried to make appointment for last 2 months and got conflicting information/instructions. Now being told I need an MRI even though they have one on file ( and this is after they told me I needed "notes" from my GP, and got a referral that they reportedly never received.) My frustration and pain level is high. I've decided to move on to a different practice (which is rated 4.9). I did note that NENA is rated poorly (2.8), so I believe I made a good choice read more

Just know that you WILL be ignored when it comes to describing your symptoms and they'll prescribe you with medication (you won't need) and never follow up with your insurance to actually get you the medication. The receptionists are extremely rude and barely reachable by phone, if you do get ahold of them they are only concerned about scheduling more appointments and nothing else -10/10 experience read more

Okay so I have been on hold for 20min being told by the recording that the next available assistant would be with me "shortly"...another 10minute wait and finally someone with a pulse answers and I ramble on about why I'm calling ...I had a Shields PET scan appointment scheduled for today but had to reschedule it because my neurologist's office never got back to Shields's although Shield's said they called them numerous times and never got a callback ...so after the 30 minute wait the assistant tells me she has to transfer me to someone else ...that was another 5 minute hold only to be told by an answering machine that no one was available and to leave a message ...I've been waiting an additional 15 minutes now waiting for a return call..COMPLETELY unacceptable and unprofessional!!! I have a tumor in my leg that's Impinging in a nerve I told these clown wanna be doctors 3 months ago when the appointment was scheduled I would be paying by credit card as my insurance won't cover they wait til 2 days before my appointment to cancel saying I never provided insurance they are a horrible medical practice that should lose there license they suck avoid these clowns at all costs they do not care about the patient what so ever read more

The main office where calls are routed through are a mess. My first issue came in the form of a complete miscommunication of if the NP I was seeing took workers' comp. She didn't, and no one told me otherwise until I got into the office at 8am. The office also called me 4 times to remind me of said appointment (which I prefer because I'm concussed and my memory is shot). The whole process of fixing the billing took 4 phone calls that could've been one The second issue I have comes from not being called for my appointment the second time around. And when I called (after my appointment) the scheduling office didn't understand why I didn't get any reminder calls. They also didn't understand why I didn't want to reschedule that appointment for 2 months out. If you have a concussion and you're taking care of your own appointments, go somewhere else, it will save you even more headaches. read more

I was referred by my PCP and saw Dr. Ibraheem. Apparently, this doctor "doesn't write notes" for people who need them for their jobs. I have been having alot of seizures and my company would allow me to work from home if I had a note from a doctor. Well, since he "doesn't write notes" I was FORCED to give the clinical note to my job that had ALOT of HIPAA-protected information in the note that was none of my job's business. His assistant/secretary didn't exactly have a warm and fuzzy attitude, but probably why they work so well with each other. read more

AWFUL. DO NOT GO HERE. I have a degenerative form of muscular dystrophy and booked my first appt here back in January. Waited 3 months which I was more than happy to do. Gave them my health insurance and was insured everything would be covered. I am seen and we book further testing to asses my condition. A day after my first appointment I get a call from the completely useless, ignorant and inconsiderate secretary who casually leaves me a voicemail saying they do NOT in fact take my insurance and I'd be receiving a bill for yesterdays appointment. LIKE HELL I told her. How incompetent does your front desk staff have to be when they have THREE MONTHS to verify someones health insurance and fail to do so before the patient is seen. Long story short, I spoke to my insurance company and they've already begun the process of fighting this. But honestly, if it wasn't bad enough that they wasted my time for three months and cost me all this stress now I have to start over with another Doctor when this issue could've been resolved back in January when I first made the appointment. Not sure who to blame here the surgeon or his office staff. My husband had an event that precipitated an MRI. He was dx with a cerebral aneurysm in Feb. Dr Karanth said he was not sure it was actually an aneurysm. Enter covid 19. A CAT scan on June 4th was done and the dx was the same: cerebral aneurysm . Today is June 19th. We have not heard one word from the office of Dr Karanth. I went into the patient portal for Dr Karanth and saw that as of June 4th, his office had the latest CAT scan. So why no call? BTW, my husband called this office around June 10th. No return call. We got a second opinion today. Yesterday I setup an appointment at Lahey, and this morning my husband had a phone conference with another doctor. Talk about easy and reachable. Do not go to this neurosurgeon unless you want your symptoms to be ignored. read more

RUDE ! they are so unprofessional and seem so miserable working there. they as in the people in the front. every time I called I either was transferred, put on hold or hung up who was I being transferred to.... I never knew. I never knew who I spoke to- answered phones and didn't say a name. Took me 3 weeks to get a hold of a doctor. The appointment was a phone appointment I'd normally prefer a in-person. They book appointments with out asking for your availability. I have been here since 2018 and have yet to get a diagnosis I finally switched to Lahey Neurology got an appointment the same week and testing scheduled the week after. As a former employee, I had to write to tell people exactly what it was like to work for this company. I was a secretary and it was tough. The office manager is one you can't trust. Whatever you tell her, leaves her mouth as soon as possible. Because of this, there is no confidentiality. The pay wasn't good, the benefits were horrible, benefits were terrible and some of the doctor's were terrible. One in particular was Dr. Zhu. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to work for her. She is like a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. Once she is nice and then she is tearing you a new XXXX. She has gone thru several secretary's so far and not one has lasted. Don't apply for this job, you will regret it!!! Take it from someone who used to work for them, run!!! read more

Brought my mother-in-law to the office for a scheduled visit. We were late 5 minutes because of traffic and they refused to take her in because they had "other appointments lined up". The waiting room was empty, there were no other patients, and even if we were on time we always have to wait with her for at least a half an hour before the doctor even calls her. read more

I never liked this office! I was a patient for years because of Dr. Abbasi whom was a GREAT Neurologist. They don't have any nurses or anything like that and have the office "staff" take your blood pressure! Staff=RUDE check in staff and appointment schedulers. Dr. Abbasi's was Lisa whom was great although she worked so hard one had to wonder why she stayed at such a place! Dr. Abbasi is a top of the line neurologist whom left rather quickly last winter. I was not notified that he was leaving or given the chance to see him before he left. Unfortunately my appts. were canceled twice and I wound up with an appoint with Dr. Milosavljevic whom in my opinion should be investigated by the medical board. My first appt with him was the most rushed and rude appt I have ever had. Instead of looking up my records to prescribe my long running prescriptions & just asked me what I took previously-I had been a patient there for well over 14 years! He couldn't be bothered to look them up or their doses and ended up giving me a prescription for one that was 10 times the amount I normally take. Thank goodness I did not take it after filling it at the pharmacy and for catching this error as I wonder if I would have become ill due to his incompetence. I even asked him to check it before he gave me the prescription and he was so unprofessional that he said "Dr. Abbasi left so quickly and his notes were a mess" which is NOT true! I printed out a copy from their website when I received the wrong dosage of medication. After serious consideration I have decided to file a complaint with the board of medicine in MA as this was a grave error and perhaps it will save another patient from any other mistakes he makes! Bottom line on this practice is: 1. The office staff is very rude 2. No additional staff other than secretary's to do what a nurse or nursing assistant should do 3. If you want to be treated like cattle from a company whom is only interested in getting as many people in and out the door for financial purposes, this is the place for you. 4. Incompetent doctors whom rush you in and out to make their "quota" 5. Dr. Milosavljevic appears to be the most incompetent doctor I have ever met! read more

Doctor Schoeck's Secretary has a perpetual attitude and is profoundly unhelpful. Saw Dr. Farahman - absolute waste of time. I went to him after numerous other failed appointments with other doctors to try to figure out why these debilitating migraines suddenly started. I had learned it was likely TMJ causing them but still wanted to be checked out. My appointment was at 1pm. I looked down at my phone while grabbing my door handle to my car & it showed 1:21pm.. in & out of there in under 20 minutes & that includes all the paper work I had to fill out and wait to be printed out. He was quick to prescribe me Gabapentin (didn't even bother to pick it up from the pharmacy) & that he's "never heard of TMJ causing migraines." Absolutely ridiculous.. zero help what so ever. Can't wait to pay this $200 bill for this beyond useless appointment.. my advise: don't go to him. read more

i have been to the office in the past and had to wait close to 30 min past my app time to be seen. the 1 time i was 11 minutes late, due to car issues, the receptionist was very rude to me and told me that they couldnt take me because the next app (who was 20 minutes early) had to go in before me and they would try to squeeze me in 2 hrs later. even though i called to tell them i was running late and they told me that if i was 15 min late, they couldnt take me and i made it there 4 min before that time! i will NEVER go to that office again. read more
