Dr Andy has been treating me for past 6 years for various issues related to back pain. He performs thorough intake of information and reviews X ray scans before obtaining one's consent for treatment. He conducts a before and after treatment measurement on a device that shows distribution of ones weight on right and left scales. During the treatment session, Dr. Andy always seeks feedback about your experience of degree of pain vs relief. Before I had seen numerous other chiropractors and none of them ever pointed out a mild scoliosis of my spine until my initial consult with Dr Andy and I believe his treatments have improved that scoliosis pattern! I feel much better after each session and found that if I stay away too long, gravity takes its toll on my body. My wife ended up in the emergency room as a direct result of the treatment she received at New England Spinal Care from Andrew Smyth. I'm writing as her husband, who handled communication with the clinic after her condition worsened. My wife received care between April and August 2025. Following her adjustment, she developed alarming symptoms and went to the ER, where she underwent bloodwork, a CT scan, and IV treatment. Multiple medical professionals advised her to discontinue chiropractic treatment immediately. Andrew Smyth made statements suggesting that his treatment had affected blood flow to her brain and implied that, if not corrected by him, the situation could require brain surgery. These comments were deeply distressing and raised serious concerns about the appropriateness of his communication. Spectacular .....the best chiropractor in the country! I am a snowbird.... when I am in Massachusetts For 4-5 months I see Dr Andrew Smyth always.. For maintenance & problems that I start. All I can say is that Dr. Smyth was God sent to me at the time when I needed him the most and when I was at the point of just accepting everything that was going on with me and my body. Now that I think about it, I believe my problems began in my teens. However, I was not aware of what was going, nor did I have any clue about what would happen to me 20 years later. My first chiropractic experience (I was 22) revealed that my right hip was lower that the left one. I didn't pay much attention as it didn't bother me and I didn't feel any imbalance. Well, at 28, when I had my first daughter, my lower back started to bother me on and off. After the second pregnancy, my right shoulder began to ache and I developed pain in the left knee. While I was living with it, my body was slowly deteriorating, and it got to the point where I developed tingling and intermittent numbness in my limbs, heart palpitations, sternum pain, foggy feeling, whooshing sound in the right ear, TMJD, you name it... I had it all and went to multiple specialists who found nothing wrong with me but were fast enough to prescribe Xanax. I even saw a TMJ specialist who made me an orthotic, which was not helping my jaw and even made it more out of alignment. By the time I came to see Dr. Smyth, my whole body was off--I literally felt 'crooked'. I cannot praise Dr. Smyth enough. He is my life saver! After the first three adjustment I was finally able to talk, eat, and laugh without feeling constant popping in my jaw. The pain around the TM joints went away and my facial muscles were not in spasms any more. The pain in the left knee miraculously disappeared (I even felt like something was missing--THE PAIN)!! After 8 adjustments, I stopped feeling 'crooked', and my right hip was noticeably higher and felt normal again. It is only the beginning of my journey to a healthy life, and I am loving it already and can't wait to see more improvements. Have been going to see Dr. Andy for about 6 months now after previously seeing a more "traditional" Chiropractor regularly for almost 6 years. Within a few weeks, pain that I had been experiencing for 15+ years had diminished significantly and now I am virtually pain free! I still go weekly/bi-weekly and feel GREAT! When I first came Dr. Andy said to be patient, there was a LOT of spinal "un-winding" that needed to be done.
