There was one person finishing up before me so I patiently waited. When John finished with the gentleman before me he called me over to the chair, we are the only two in the shop at this point. I sit down in the chair and John has me facing the wall. He asks me how I want my hair cut, and I said sure if you wanna spin me around we can talk about it. He had the demeanor of a pompous man who expects you to know everything about their craft prior to bothering them. Like you're wasting their time for even being there. Is this a barber shop? "Oh you need to see it?" John says in an arrogant chesty way...almost as if to say without saying, what you don't trust me? Or what you can't use words?... "Yes, I'd like to show you what I'd like." I replied. He spun me around and I began to describe how I've had bad experiences with the barbers in the area and he kept cutting me off mid sentence. "I been doing it for 25 years, how do you want it cut" "Yes, as I was saying the last time I..." "How do you want it cut?" "Right, so last time I did..." "How do you want it cut, this time" "Okay if you'd let me explain, I've been in the area 6 months and I've gotten 4 haircuts so ..." "I've been doing it 25 years I know what I'm doing, did you come here for a haircut? If you don't want a hair cut you're welcome to leave." I said "don't be sensitive I didn't say you messed it up. I was saying it got messed up and I'm explaining how I'd like ..." He then took the cape off said this is his shop and told me to get the hell out. I was trying to start from a place of what happened in order to describe what I wanted differently this time, but he kept cutting me off before I could finish my thought. He asked what I wanted and as I would tell him I was interrupted and then told to leave! I said ABSOLUTELY! You think I want someone with clippers by my head after that attitude?! Terrible customer service. Grumpy old midwestern man. (I'm also originally from the midwest haha) I went across the street to clippers and had the most amazing experience! Second, I show my barber (Victor) a picture of the haircut I wanted - What I ended up getting was completely different. Finally, the three barbers were yelling at each other the entire time and didn't communicate with their patrons at all. I would have tried to ask for them to redo the haircut a bit but didn't want to make the guy who had already been waiting over 45 minutes to wait longer. Overall, this place sucks - they charge $40 for a $10 - $20 haircut and the vibe makes you want to get up and leave halfway through.

All three times the wait was not too long, but I can tell you the wait is worth it. The stylists take their time when cutting to assure that they deliver what you ask for.
