After spending a good amount of time reading comments- good and bad- I decided to go with David. I'm very disappointed. My hair is a very simple, shorter bob- it had grown out and need to be cleaned up. I was look for a simple but sassy look. I went in with several pictures so that he would have an idea of what I was open to- he dismissed the pictures and told me he knew exactly what to do. This is the worst hair cut I have had in nearly twenty years. I can't decide if he was just being lazy,maybe because my haircut didn't offer much for his creativity,or if he lacks technical skill. He 'stacked' my hairline in the back but did so without blending, so now I have a very heavy hair line in the back, that curls and separates from the rest of my hair. Luckily, it's not so bad that it won't grow out soon enough and I'll start my search for a stylist again. Reviews for David point out how funny he is, and I will say that he has a pretty solid stand up routine going on. Lesson learned.

When my appointment came up, I was greeted by Justin Boone, who became my barber for the day. He promptly seated me, asked thoughtful questions to match my style, and then did an amazing, stylish beard trim with great care and precision. Overall, the experience was excellent--I received a high-quality beard trim with minimal wait time in a good environment.

But, she was so friendly and told me if I didn't mind waiting a little bit, she would be happy to fix me up. I am glad I did. She took her time and did a great job giving me a fabulous pixie cut. But I simply did not get the haircut I requested…read more I went in with medium/long hair asking for a simple trim of an inch off the back and another inch off of the top. I wanted maintenance and the bangs out of my eyes. But, I left with a totally different drastically shorter hairstyle that I didn't request. I even specifically told the stylist not to cut the sides since the stiffness of my hair causes it to stick out unless it's long enough to comb back. As you can see from the pic - the sides were cut and now stick-out. The pic also shows that the back is also awkwardly squared-off. So, I'm forced to find another stylist to fix what was done (which will sadly cause me to have an even shorter cut). I estimate it will take 3-4 months to grow back the damage done. My guess is that if you have very short hair that needs periodic maintenance, or, if you want that luxurious barbershop shave and men's spa vibe. This might be a great spot for you. They also have an entire section for mani/pedis that look super comfortable for dudes. So there's that too. But, I can't say it's a place where you'll get the cut you ask for.

We booked somewhat last-minute while traveling and weren't familiar with the area, but it ended up being completely worth it. The service was extremely professional from start to finish. The straight razor shave was excellent -- they used peppermint oil and coconut oil, which felt incredibly soothing and refreshing on the skin. You can tell they take pride in the details. The haircut was also very well done, clean, and precise. This was the day before our wedding, so it was important to us to get it right, and they absolutely delivered. Overall, a great establishment with high-quality service. We're so glad we took the chance booking here and would definitely recommend it.
