She tried her best to make me feel relax by telling me that it'll be quick but oh boy, it was painful! I couldn't relax because it was my first time (I was anxious) and it was painful right after she yanked the upper portion of my bush. It was mostly painful because I have so many hairs down there. She didn't trim it & I didn't trim it before meeting her. She didn't ask me to check if she did well or not after my brazillian & full legs. She just told me to pay after I'm done changing. There are still some hairs left. She did wore 1 blue glove (right hand) during the brazillian wax but she didn't wash her hands before the procedure. I paid $85.00 incuding the $10.00 tip. I thanked her for the wax deal. She's a nice lady with 25 years of experience but for me her brazillian techniques are painful and the wax is too hot for my skin threshold. I endured everything, I hope my future brazillian wax will be better than this. I've been told that the first brazillian experience is worst but it'll get better after the 3rd try.

Joseph is the owner of this salon as he styled, trimmed and coutured my mom, and three of my aunties hair while his assistant Tai cut and styled mine. The hair washing stations are very comfortable and staff warmly offered espresso for our party of three. Joseph were accomodating to our needs of an early bird appointment at 8am on a Saturday morning, the salon resides on the upper level of Parkway Forest Plaza. Tai was rather slow to curl my hair as she gathered small clumps rather than big clumps in the curling iron. I always have my hair cut in layers which was not many visible, yet little did Tai know my hair history for my forsaken bangs. Gone were those days of bangs (as seen in my profile photo) which painfully grew to obstruct my visibility. Joseph Salon is clean and well maintained.

Some hairdressers may want to get you in and out of the chair as soon as possible, but he really takes the time to make sure that you get a good haircut. Several times he will look from multiple angles, press my shoulders down evenly to make sure things are symmetrical, and then make little adjustments here and there. He is also chatty if you feel like talking, and otherwise more reticent if he senses that you want to keep to yourself. I always forget to bring cash, but if you pay cash and not credit card, you get a discount!
