Saturday before the event, the venue calls to say their HVAC system is busted and they need to move us to a different location down the street. Canal Sound & Light were awesome throughout. Even though I'd never organized a meeting like this, they identified what we needed, gave us a reasonable quote for it, made themselves available for setup and teardown before/after the event, and even adjusted the equipment rental and pricing on the fly when they realized we didn't need a TV because the new venue had one in place already. Everyone was super nice, clearly knew what they were doing, and yet never talked down to me. And the sound was so good, the remote participants could hear us better than we could hear each other in the room. @_@ The event was August 2022, but I realized I never wrote a review. I called on a Friday afternoon, just an hour before they were closing, hoping to get help with my beloved Artemide floor lamp that had mostly discontinued parts. Luca answered and kindly told me to come by, while cautioning that they closed at 3 PM. I rushed over, and I am so glad I did. Not only was Luca welcoming and professional, but his knowledge was incredible--he had even worked for the Rondo company in Milan and knew this lamp inside and out. What a rare find! A friend of mine once spent four hours unsuccessfully trying to fix it, and Luca solved it in under 20 minutes with absolute ease. Beyond his skill, he was one of the nicest people I've met in customer service--genuine, thoughtful, and truly passionate about his craft.
