Theirs wifi in the reception and bar area, but how can you use it when theirs a full on Cabaret every night. Parents and guardians drinking in the lounge area, leaving their children to noisily run riot and disturbing other guests which, and reception staff, a lot were pensioners. Some of the staff were quite helpful. Others were not at all helpful and did not have a clue. I work in telly and if I was filming an undercover hotel show I'm sure the hotel would get into some serious bother. Oh and talking about telly. They have the old time bubble ones that no one has anymore, with just 5 channels. My remote control did not work. I reported it. It was not written down and no one came to fix it. I got out of the shower on my first morning. Through the steam on the mirror I saw: ' I'm watching you'. This may have been left by the previous guests.. The proof that they did not thoroughly clean the rooms daily, was that the message was there for 3 days before I complained and they cleaned it. My colleague was on the 3rd or 4th floor. One could not reach her on her room phone, neither can anyone ring up to her. That's dangerous! My colleAgue had to change rooms because she got back and the room had flooded. Whilst getting her gear together. She noticed that under her bed, was a mouldy pizza in a box that had been there the whole time. This hotel seems to be breaching a lot of health and safety rules No apologies and I never saw a manager. The receptionist told me that they followed britannia policies

Attitude of staff on reception poor, I was told when complaining that I was lucky to have a room. Guest on same floor had told us they had seen mice in their room as they were leaving. I even offered to pay whatever I needed to at reception to get a better room, again staff didn't care. The clientele at this hotel was low quality, smell of weed several times outside and in. screaming children and adults. Walls paper thin. Bed small and uncomfortable, plus it looked as though a toddler had made it, me and my partner had to remake it. Pros: Staff generally nice ( apart from the previously mentioned woman on reception). Breakfast was nice. When the room above ours started doing star jumps and screaming at each other at 4 in the morning, security promptly went and shut them up after I complained. I would like to point out that night staff are different, as I'm sure the day woman on reception would have told me I was making it up. Conclusion 1/5. Do not stay here. All interior is tired, not old although it is, I mean broken, damaged, dirty, worn. Im quite laid back so enjoyed my stay, couple of beers and a TV on a night and I'm happy. If your a light sleeper, have a bad back ( like my partner), expecting a clean room with functional window. Then you probably won't be happy.

On arrival we were too early, but still we were allowed to check in with a very warm welcome from Julie who runs the Hotel with her brother Steve. Julie also made us a pot of Coffee with biscuits to welcome us. Nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, the portions genorous and served with a smile. The Bar downstairs is cosy and a nice place to have a quiet drink if you don't like the hustle and bustle of Blackpool at night. The prices of the drink's were good too. Happy hour 8-9 at night. And we met other people using the Hotel who were very friendly for a good chat. In summing up i would say this is great accomodation, at a great price with very friendly and hard working owners who go out their way to ensure you have a nice stay whilst on holiday. The price varies according to how near Christmas it is, we are goind at the end of November because people have other things to do in Dec so we got the cheapest rate of £40 per head (think its £60 in Dec) sounds a lot but when you consider what you do get it isnt really. On arrival theres unlimited bucks fizz and canapes, you're then shown to your tables were there are bottles of red or white wine ( rose if you ask) when your bottle is empty you hold it up and its replaced very quickly meal is pre ordered starter served by you're waiter/ess. main is carvery with meat / veggi / fish choice help yourself to loads of veg / salad choices. pudding is pre ordered and served at your table. Theres a disco, and Christmas themed quiz to follow. You will get a ticket that you exchange at the bar after the meal, thats for your first drink, after that you need to take you're glass with you or you dont get served. All the drinks are named brands and there is no limit on how many times you go back to the bar. At 11.30 they serve mini fish and chips in cones then free bar closes at 12. They are doing a cheap rate on rooms if you would rather stay over. If you add up how much a meal, drink etc costs when they dont come as a package like this you can see what a bargain it is.
