Each time, I have got a water only and there are plenty of nearby garbages to toss items when finished. Lastly, the range has the big 10 sports logos on the green which will measure the distance. Walk into cashier/starter provided no receipt and pointed to carts where none had keys ready to go. Wide open front nine went well with pretty sloppy maintenance throughout. Then we get to the turn and find 2 walking groups with a 5 some slowing the final 9. But wait, starter comes out and is clearly overwhelmed with the twilight groups and starts arguing that we were supposed to start off the back nine when there was never any instruction to do so at the start! Rather than starting the 5some twilight crews off the front, he offered us to repeat the front 9 or wait behind 2 walking groups. Expensive carts, very bumpy throughout the course and extremely rude service. Won't be back.

The holes have some elevation changes and there are a lot of mature trees. Some of the greens are a mess due to people not fixing ball marks. But most are in good shape. The course gets a lot play. The cart paths could use some maintenance too. There is a ranger on the course to keep people moving and we played our round in under 4 hours! The club house is over a 100 years old and is in great condition. There's a snack bar on the lower level with sandwiches and hot dogs. I will definitely be back.

When you hit a bad shot you can usually get back in play easily. Even with the almost 40,000 rounds played here each year, the greens are in good shape. If the City of Minneapolis would do a little more maintenance, this would be five stars. There is a nice clubhouse with hot dogs and sandwiches. The staff here is friendly and helpful.
