There have been some times that even just walking past a business that has grooming sends him shaking and quivering. However he entered the front door of this homey establishment, located at the back right corner of a tiny strip mall with no apprehension whatsoever. Yes, the Decour is a bit overwhelming of bric-a-brac and knickknacks, and at first I wasn't created when I came in the door, but I quickly realized it was because the two ladies on the other side of the barrier were working vigorously to take care of the pets whom have been entrusted to their hands. It was explained to me that it was a very busy day that Saturday, so even though I had an appointment they were running a little bit behind. We discussed the style and cut they were going to give my dog, they asked me about allergies and let me know that the scent of the month was jellybean! Additionally, they did have me fill out an information form, and they asked to see a copy of my dog's shots which I showed. I appreciated that they asked to see the records of his shots, as I would not want him to be around other dogs that were not kept up in their health, either. My little guy is always stressed when it comes time for actual separation, but they were gentle and kind and very empathetic. My only small ripple of disappointment, was how long it would be before I was able to pick him up. They let me know that, as I was there early, I should come back in 3 to 4 hours. They also let me know that they would call me so I could pick my little guy up. They rang me about three hours later, and I went to pick him up. He was already done and waiting and one of the cages. He looked very relaxed and happy, and his cut was a perfect Yorky puppy cut. They had done an excellent job with him, including brushing his teeth and taking care of his nails, all for under $60. They also put a jaunty blue bandanna around his neck, though I did quickly remove it, as he has gotten into trouble with such thing as before! I will definitely come back to this establishment when I am in the area. They took good care of my little guy at a price that is not only affordable but reasonable for such a small dog!

His family takes in abandoned dogs and he's even helped care for cats that live on the property. I would absolutely trust him with my dog. Most of the people working at Four Paws are the artsy/socially awkward type who connect naturally with animals. They want your dogs to be safe and happy not because it's their job, but because they really care. They are good people and you can absolutely trust them with your dogs. The building itself is old but clean. The dogs are divided into groups for free play, rotating every hour so each group gets time in each space. They love it! Highly recommend!!
