Took my girlfriends 2010 Honda crv in for a vtc actuator, symptoms rattle on cold start. They…read moreinsisted me it was fine but said we need brakes, tires, etc. so we went ahead and had them do those repairs for $2,400. Then after they fixed those issues they call and say there's a rattle and will further diagnose. Then they call back on voicemail and say it will be about 3k for timing issues. Which is exactly why I even brought it there. When talking in person she read me the notes, then I saw her change the notes and print us the rescipt. The notes now say "customer states oil leaking and has rattle on engine light." There never even was an engine light on. Absolutely ridiculous. Sneaky. Will be filing complaints and possibly small claims court. What a waste of time and money. Now we still need to get the timing issues fixed. Also a 3k quote for that is insane.
