Aiken's Makin signals the start to festival season in the region with a huge display of local…read moreartwork, crafts, and food goods. They block off several blocks in downtown Aiken and have 4-5 rows of vendor tents all the way down. Just walking through it all without stopping would take close on an hour, so plan for half a day. There's lots of food options as well, but most of it is festival food so largely fried stuff. Locals look forward to this event every year and everyone is really nice and happy to be there.
