After receiving the quote I made an appointment to visit the showroom (though Ben also offered to bring some window samples to the house). We really liked the windows (Sunrise Restorations) and moved forward with the project. The installation went flawless! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and usually have to stop myself from nitpicking on small little flaws from general contractors, but American Windows did such a stellar job I couldn't find a single flaw in their work. Also important was knowing that Southernwood has a local office and that we would be able to find/contact them (if necessary) after the job was completed. Our first experience with Kate, who fielded our call and answered many questions, started the adventure with positivity. Next was our roof inspector and estimator, Geddy Fuller - who was fantastic! He conducted a thorough assessment of the roof/exterior of our home to provide an accurate, competitive quote. He made recommendations when we asked, and was very patient as he guided us through the process. He met our insurance adjuster at the home to answer any questions they had, which helped moved the process along quickly. There were zero high pressure sales tactics, and zero gimmicks - a breath of fresh air! The company was well represented, the paperwork process smooth, and also important to us - the quote was competitive and reasonably priced. We next visited the show room in La Plata, MD which had material samples and colors available for us to review and compare on site. The offices are laid out nicely with many items displayed around the room so you can see the actual colors in person, not just view on a computer screen or in a book. Next was Kirsten, the scheduler, who patiently worked with us to establish a date for install while taking into consideration the weather, our schedule and their schedule. The material arrived on time and the job was completed on the scheduled day! The area was cleaned well afterwards and our property was treated with care. The follow up care we received was also a breath of fresh air - they checked to be sure we were satisfied with the work which included shutters, gutters, fascia board, and other items that helped bring our home up to date, all priced well and of good quality. We received our warranty information to file - and in our case it is transferrable if we decide to sell our home - what a value-added bonus! They provided me with price quotes for different gutter sizes and guard prices so I was able to pick the option that best fit our budget. I went with a brown tinted gutter so it had to be ordered. Had some storm damage from a spring 2018 storm when we were approached by Priceless who said they…read morewould work with us to attempt to get a replacement roof at no cost to us by working with our insurance company. True to their promise, that's exactly what occurred although our insurance company dragged things out far longer than it should have taken. The sales rep, Kyle Dotson, worked above and beyond the call of duty to make this happen and should be commended for that. He is a truly caring individual that works hard to keep his promises. Once the work began, the crew that did the roofing work was phenomenal. They finished the job in a day and a half (stripping, prepping and re-installing approximately 35 squares). We did have some questions about the effectiveness of the gutter guards considering the shingle overhang and the slope of the roof so that got held up a bit while we worked through those issues. Now the not-so-good. The supposed Project Manager was abysmal due to his lack of presence, communication and outright neglect. He would not return phone calls or text messages. If it wasn't for Kyle dogging him, he probably never would have even made the single brief visit to my house to look into the gutter guard issue. When he did, he promised to get the job done but it took several weeks and only after numerous terse messages from me (that went unanswered, true to form) before it finally got addressed, despite this task clearly being in the contract. These were gutter guards I purchased myself and paid Priceless to reinstall as part of the contract. I had purchased more than enough to do the job so I would have extras for the future but upon completion of this portion of the task, all remaining guards were removed from my property. Requests as to the return of the extras have gone unanswered, naturally. He also promised to have splash guards re-installed which were removed as part of the prep work. This has yet to be completed (or my messages acknowledged) so it looks like that will have to be done at my additional expense if it is going to be done at all. This guy should be fired since he is a bad representative of the company and a detriment to customer satisfaction.

Now it's May of 2026 and I called the insurance company to stop payment only to learn that Priceless had deposited the check for with NO work being done or correspondence. I had to call the Crain Hwy location and threaten to call a LAWYER!!! I finally got a response from Russell (project manager) which turned out be a lot of bull. Apologies, lies, and just more bull. He assured me that he was on it and was going to get things going once he made the 3 phone calls that was supposed to benefit me . More shucking and jiving !!! I explain to him that there is a hole in the ceiling and you could see the light from outside. His response via text send me a photo, my response time was ASAP i sent him the photo and his response got it. Upon speaking to him again he told me he was going to send out his guys to go up on the roof because form the beginning I kept saying it would be useless to fix the interior first and not the roof to have damages again. He agreed and was supposed to be giving me an estimate. Now this estimate was on going for over a month and this was before I ever talked to him(Russell)... An estimate DOES NOT!!!! take that long. So I asked Russell in the mean time could he put a tarp on the roof until they get thing in order be cause in a few day it will be raining for the next 6 days straight. Note: It will be raining for the next 6 days. When the guys came out we thought they were putting a tarp on the roof, but the rain came and water came into the house. It was then that I realized that no tarp had been placed on the roof. I reached out to Russell via text and phone calls without any response. I did not hear back from Russell until a week later. Russell sent out two more guys to look at the roof and they stated that there was not any tarp on there but a cheap piece of material with holes was what was found on the roof. The supervisor Christian reached out to me to discuss the matter, stating that they were still attempting to get an estimate. He acted as though we were best friends and gave me his personal cell. At this point I then reached out to the owner Debra Price letting them know that I needed a refund of all money and let them know I was unsatisfied with the way they handled the matter. I was told i would receive a phone call from both owners but NOTHING. I will never do business with this company and people should look out for this story on the news because I have already contacted the media about this .

Rolando was able to come over the following day. He performed a thorough interior and exterior inspection of our roof and clearly documented the issues including providing pictures. He clearly explained our options and the benefits and costs of each of them. We chose to have our roof completely replaced. He sent a crew over the following morning to temporarily repair the problem. And, we were able to schedule the work within a week. He and his crew completed the roof in a single day. They were extremely professional. Rolando provide a full set of before and after pictures and the crew left the area around our townhouse cleaner than they found it.
