I KNEW this was not for him. (unfortunately I have no POA to move him). I went often and one night three aids came into his room, closed the door behind them and had a weighing contraption they proceeded to hook him up to. I said "He has a broken back", their reply it will only take a second. They put a NET on it and proceeded to lift him. He started screaming "Stop, please stop" at which time I stepped in and stopped what they were doing as clearly this was causing excrutiating pain. I unhooked the equipment and told them to get out after mandhandling my father. I had to find a nurse (none around) and instruct that is NEVER to happen again. He died in their care three days after that catastrophic event while I sat with him, no morphine in sight. 8 hours without any morphine, none on the premise. I called Hospice three times, it never arrived and he passed a terrible death 8 hours later while I sat helpless and held his hand. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. The care is terrible, communication worse and its not a place for someone if they cannot advocate for themselves.

My sisters put my father here and everytime I came to visit he was lying in a pool of urine. Soaked through his diaper. Never cleaned and just neglected. He had a bed sore that was so big and open I am surprised he die from sepsis. Gross facility all around. How they are in business is beyond me. We need to do better for our elders.

My 90 year old mom was there for four weeks after a long hospital stay. Sometimes she waited over 40 minutes just to go to the bathroom. The aids never ask if there is anything else that she need, they walk right out of the room as soon as she is back in her chair, often forgetting to give her her call button. Instead of helping her get back to independent living they got her dependent on diapers. The physical therapy wasnt all that great either (they did not do too much). The food is horrible and my mom lost 15 pounds after the first 3 weeks without anyone saying anything to me. Oh and the showers, my mom got a foot fungus. and it took two weeks for her just to get her first shower. They sent her home without having a shower in 10 days. Like others said, there are a few nice people who care, but most don't. I saw the aids hanging out in an oversized closet so that they cant be found when paged.

In the year that she was there she lost $113,000 (26) of her entry fee and is owed the balance of $321,974. It is now mid December and still no reimbursement, even after being told by the business office that we would have it by this date. Fellowship Village is worse than a Ponzi Scheme

I must say that during this experience with Overlook my mom was treated with the highest level of professionalism, respect, dignity, and compassion. From the ER to the standard in patient rooms to the CCU she was fortunate to have been treated by amazing individuals including Doctors, nurses, aides, meal providers, maintenance, etc. I do have to reference several professionals that had a major impact during my mom's stays which were: Dr Jessie Wilt, one of the best professionals that i ever met in my life, with unlimited knowledge, respect, compassion and really just an amazing human being who truly cares! Nurses; Sidneia, Olivia CCU, Justin CCU, Megan CCU, Rae Mauro, Emily C., Sheryl, Jamell Quiles, Erika and Faith. To these individuals especially and to the entire staff and organization of the Hospital I would like to thank them for everything that they did to make my mom's last days the most comforting possible! Your worst fears about being neglected in a rehab facility will be met at Laurel Circle if you…read morechoose to stay here. Everyone is very friendly, but your care will feel suspended in limbo as you wait indefinitely for your requests to be fulfilled. At least this was the experience we had with my Mom during a recent one week stay at the Laurel Circle facility in Bridgewater, New Jersey. She had been there 10 years prior under a different company name (Arbor Glen) for a couple of knee replacements and felt good about the care she received. So she didn't hesitate when they had a bed for her again this time. Fast forward to 2023... Promises are made with a smile, then ignored. Departments don't communicate within the company so daily operations are haphazard and incongruent. They are also understaffed, but that's unfortunately a common problem these days. Be prepared to wait hours for your requests to be fulfilled (meds, help getting in or out of bed, assistance getting dressed, PT, OT, etc.). Dreadful treatment... and you can't complain because they'll just treat your loved one worse. So glad to be out of that hell hole!

We're all happy we choose here! My relative says her favorite aspects of living here are Saturday Movie Nights, Community Birthday Celebrations, and convenient transportation to the local supermarket. She feels very safe here and has peace of mind knowing that if she falls, someone will know right away and help her. Additionally she enjoys the company of the other residents. We're impressed by how clean the staff keeps the whole building and how they are very attentive to maintaining the facilities.
