Doctors were attentive to my needs and the care was far and beyond anything I expected given the bad reviews. I even got a card from them hoping I get better which was signed by hand. Disappointed and Deeply Concerned About My Father's Care…read more I am writing this review with deep concern and disappointment over the care my father received during his recent admissions to JFK Hospital. My father, an 83-year-old man who was living at home and managing his daily activities on his own, was admitted to JFK on August 19, 2025, after experiencing sudden weakness in both legs. Despite our repeated concerns about a possible stroke -- including noticeable weakness on his right side -- the emergency room staff kept him under observation for three days without ordering an MRI. We requested an MRI multiple times and were told it wasn't necessary. On August 22, the hospital was planning to discharge him home, as they couldn't find anything wrong with him, despite the fact that he couldn't walk on his own. We had to advocate strongly and insist that he be sent to a rehab facility for physical therapy, even though we suspected a possible stroke. My dad had experienced a stroke back in 2013, so we were particularly concerned. When I visited him at the rehab facility on August 25, he was in a wheelchair and unable to move his right hand or even hold a spoon. This was alarming, especially since he hadn't been like this before his hospital admission. On August 26, while at dialysis, he was sent back to JFK ER for evaluation of worsening right-sided weakness. This time, a doctor said an MRI would be ordered -- but when I followed up on August 27, there was no order in the system. Again, we had to advocate hard for proper care. I contacted the Patient Advocate, and only then was he moved to the stroke unit, and an MRI was finally done on August 28 -- nine days after his original ER visit. Later that evening, after inquiring about the MRI results, we were told the results were abnormal and that the doctor would call us the next day to discuss them. I made it clear that I needed to be contacted at work, but no one ever called. On August 29, I followed up by calling the unit and speaking with the nurse in charge of my father's care. She was unable to provide the results and said the doctor would call me. However, since no doctor called me back, I reached out to the Patient Advocate again for assistance. It wasn't until August 31, when I asked the nurse in charge of my father's care to request that the doctor speak with us during a visit, that we were finally informed by the attending physician that the MRI showed a recent stroke. Had we not consistently advocated for my father, his stroke may have gone undiagnosed. I strongly urge others to advocate relentlessly for their family members in this system -- your voice may be the only thing that ensures they get the care they need. No one has presented a clear care plan to our family, and the overall communication has been severely lacking. It is both heartbreaking and frustrating to witness such neglect and delay in care, particularly for an elderly patient who cannot express his needs due to his age and condition. The lack of urgency and thorough evaluation was unacceptable. It feels as though his condition was minimized simply because of his age. This entire experience highlights a breakdown in basic communication and a failure to provide timely, appropriate care. Please advocate fiercely for your loved ones. You should not have to fight this hard to ensure they receive the appropriate medical attention. JFK Hospital has deeply disappointed me, and I sincerely hope they take serious steps to improve how they treat and communicate with patients and their families. We will not be bringing my father back to JFK Hospital in the future.

The appointment cost $1500.00…read more You are then made to book your own follow up appointment. The last year I went, when I booked my follow up appointment, the doctor called me directly. This year after the missed appointment it was said that is was a zoom link and that I should have gotten a zoom link to my email the day I booked it (I called to let them know that the doctor never called me)...... Then it was said that the link would not come from Princeton Longevity Center....... If I knew it was a ZOOM I would have been on the ZOOM. [When you book your appointment there is one little section prompting a ZOOM follow up call- portion where you have to click to move to the next page] It's comical writing the review.... really I was just floored that the older woman on the phone was so quick to say pay $50 and I can reschedule that for you.... and that was all she was going to do. An update: I emailed the Director of Patient and Corporate services- Andrea L. The Director of services took the time out of her day... really took the time.... to screen shot and highlight the fine print of it being a zoom call. She highlighted 4 points of a "Zoom" mention really only being on two days. The day you book the appointment and the day you are told to scan a QR code which also was more than a month apart. No follow up and no work done by their actual team in the office. I booked the appointment on Jan 8th. I did not see the fine print that the director took the time out of her day to highlight and send back to me as a pretty much "Bite me" remark. Feb 10th (More than a month later) I had my appointment and was told to scan the QR code to book a call. Did I read the QR code the director also so kindly enlarged for me just now in an email to tell me to basically "Piss off"? No, I SCANNED the QR code and booked my appointment and the Dr. said she would call on the 24th. There was no Zoom mention from when I was there checking in at their office to leaving is what I was saying on the phone and why I emailed the director for help because I do not miss appointments especially one where I had to take off of work and drive more than an hour to so I would not have missed that follow up appointment. I think it's unprofessional and especially of the director to reply the way she did. I have been in customer service throughout my career and I never felt more disregarded by the girl who works at the front desk and the director..... Truly as if I was emailing a 20 year old girl who got her first job. Andrea went so far as to send me a non-disparagement agreement. (Over $50 ..) Telling me that Once my Yelp review was taken down and she received a signed copy of the attached agreement, she will have my follow up appointment rescheduled by phone and waive the $50 fee... I mean it's also upsetting that the Director would reply just like that below ( look at all the other bad review replies) and say those things about myself to cover her own character .... Asking a client to take down their review when I simply asked if she would waive the $50 fee. It was because of the way the Director replied to me over 50 bucks... In my second email I said if you can't waive it is what it is...but if something was really wrong the Doctor would have to call me right? That is when the director felt she needed to "stick it to me" for it being a Zoom call lol.... she did not even answer my question. I felt all she cared about was her name and this review! Did I explain my situation to one woman on the phone when I called and then she had me on hold to transfer me to another named Alex, who I had to re-explain my situation to and still could or would not help? Yes. They could help but would not help. I get it some businesses won't right? I felt it was the way they had me on hold, the way Alex replied and the way the Director replied that I took the time to write this review. Did I think the lady that sounded older, named Alex, on the phone, was no help.. yes? Did I bully her lol? No... Was I upset and frustrated that I could not speak to the Dr. without paying 50 dollars... yes?? Was I upset with the way I felt Alex did not give a care, yes!? Did I then email the director for help, yes. Did the director reply trying to stick it to me about a Zoom call after I said it is what it is.. because I GENUINELY did not know it was a Zoom call... yes and she did the same with her reply just below. Meanwhile I literally replied off the Zoom call link (after they told me the company the link is from...) asking for help..... Did Andrea only offer me one day and time to speak to her? Yes. Did the Physician Communicate her results 24 hours after my appointment. No. She did not. Did Andrea, how I felt, harass me via email to take down this review? Yes... Head of a department?... with training in customer service..... I'd say her reply says enough ....... And I'll leave it at that..

The best part other than the most thorough physical you have ever had with virtually all the results returned within a few hours, is that you spend an hour or more speaking with your Doctor at the end of the physical asking every question you may have and discussing any issue you may have or are concerned you may have. This is the type of physical we should all have on a regular basis.
