I strongly recommend avoiding this practice. They will try to get your money no matter what. That means if you happen to make an appointment with them, you will not be able to get out of it. You either have to see the doctor even when you no longer need medical help or pay a cancelation fee even if you try to cancel the appointment early way beyond their so-called 'policy'. Here is my predicament. I hurt my foot during the weekend. At the time I thought I would need medical help, so around 5PM May 12, Monday, I called this office and made an appointment. They gave a 12PM appointment the next day, Tuesday, May 13. Note that this is within their 24 hour window of cancelation. There was no communications from their office regarding a cancelation fee. If I knew, I would not proceed with one. I don't want to be financially trapped like that. The next morning, Tuesday May 13, I knew I couldn't come, so I called and asked to cancel the appointment. To my surprise, they told me I cannot cancel it because it was within their 24 hour window. I was not told about this fee when the appointment was given. They told me I either had to reschedule or pay that fee. Facing with no other options, I thought I might need to be seen, I rescheduled to Friday May 16, 9:15 appointment. Over the next day, my foot improved, there was no more pain, and no swelling. So I called this office on Wednesday to cancel the appointment. Note that this is way before their 24 hour cancelation window. They said I cannot cancel it, if I do, I will be imposed a fee of $50. THIS IS ANOTHER WAY OF TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO SEE THEIR DOCTOR WHEN I NO LONGER NEED MEDICAL CARE. THIS IS VERY UNFAIR PRACTICE AND AMOUNTS TO SCAM. Fifty dollar is not a big amount but principal is principal. They cannot just charge people if they like. People pay when service is rendered. I received no service. As a matter of fact, with the first appointment, I was given no chance to cancel my appointment because they did not inform me of this potential fee and the appointment was give within their 24 hour. The second appointment was effectively forced on me. I still tried to obey their so-called 'policy' by contacting them as soon as I can to cancel. Now they don't honor their own policy and told me they will send me a bill for that fee. I will refer this matter to the New Jersey Ministry of Consumer Affair for investigation of my complaint. read more

Simply put, don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. I didn't feel welcomed at all by the doctor who saw me, she barely explained my condition before telling me to go pick up a prescription. I looked for parking longer then I was in the examination room with her. The front office staff multitasked to the point where I felt invisible as they barely made eye contact because they were so busy doing everything else. The office has all of these weird oversized pictures of another doctor (who didn't attend to me) and various people including the Impractical Jokers. And I mean, I get it. But the pictures seemed more appropriate for a private office then a public waiting area. The decor is drab at best and in general everything is outdated, including the foot models that they use. It just feels like a dirty place to be--it is however in a nice facility. The doctor, Dr. Neverlee has yet to reach out to me with my results so with limited information I have to determine if it makes sense to continue taking meds for a condition that I may or may not have or chase down an answer for the results from her or the office staff. It's ridiculous. The only positive experience was checking out. The attendant at that time gave me her full attention...Maybe because she was taking my copayment. Go somewhere else. read more

I moved to Oradell last year and had no experience with the doctors and hospitals in Bergen County New Jersey. As luck would have it, I had an unfortunate accident to my foot when I dropped a heavy painting on my left foot . After about an hour my foot swoll up and the pain was excruciating. I quickly checked Reviews and ratings of some offices in my area. I chose the Bergen county offices of New Jersey Foot and Ankle and was very pleased with their services. My problem was diagnosed as severe bruising and a large clot on the top of my left foot. After xrays and a series of special "boots"the swelling was greatly reduced and the pain also diminished. Due to the treatments I received from Dr.gomberg and his professional, motivated and knowledgeable staff, I am walking in regular shoes with virtually no pain ! My visits to the office was always pleasant and upbeat. Special thanks to the follow up and communications from.Arlene. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Margolin, on my last visit . Don't even waste your time. It took me a month to get an appointment. I had to take a half day off from work to go and as I'm parking in their lot (2 minutes before my appt.) they call me and tell me they have to reschedule. So they rescheduled me for 2 weeks later on a day the massage therapist "doesn't work" but that they would to make up for the last minute cancellation so I wouldn't need to take more time off of work. Well they just canceled AGAIN and asked if I wanted to reschedule for after New Years. When I explained to the woman that called how unprofessional this all was and I keep getting my schedule messed up because of them she just started giving me an attitude as was like do you want to reschedule or not. The office staff is terrible. Going to see a podiatrist I have a certain expectation that the staff working there will have at least a small amount of knowledge of the foot. I can't tell you how many times I went there and was asked what the problem was. That's fine, although I would think they would have looked at my chart to know what my problem was. However, when told that the problem was with my achilles tendon, no one ever seemed to know what the achilles tendon was. They end up asking me where the stim pads should. I'm sorry, you work in podiatrist's office, why don't YOU know where the stim pads should be placed. Yesterday I got a call saying they want to start charging my credit card for the leftover balance on my orthotic. I had to call them back to tell them for the 3rd time that I paid for it the day I got it. The woman assured me she would take care of it immediately. Now, because I don't trust that they have taken care of it, I need to monitor my credit card to make sure they don't charge it because they can't get the billing correct. Finally, after I succumbed to unbearable ingrown toenail pain, I decided to do something about the constant aches in my arches that have progressively increased throughout my late-thirties. After searching through a sea of participating doctors on the Horizon website, I settled on New Jersey Foot & Ankle Centers in Oradell, New Jersey; this office seemed to be the closest in proximity to my employer (at the time). New Jersey Foot & Ankle Centers, or www.NJFootPain.com as they're known on the web, boasts a total of five physicians in their office as well as several medical assistants at the front desk. I was introduced to the youngest member of the team, Dr. Justin Donovan. Dr. Donovan identified the affected area and skillfully excised the ingrown portion of my pinky toenail. I returned one week later, and Donovan took two films of my feet. A medical assistant took casts of my feet for custom made arch supports, and I was also provided with pneumatic, slide-on cushions to alleviate foot pain while I waited for the orthotics to arrive. I viewed two options in orthotics, and I specifically ordered a non-diabetic, thinner model - I don't want my feet to be pushed out of the back of the shoe. When the insoles arrived, they were the diabetic kind - the kind I rejected. Dr. Judah Gomberg repeatedly asked me to take the insoles so I would have something to use while waiting for the "correct insoles". A medical assistant entered the examination room and strapped-on a Darth Vader boot to my foot and told me that I have to wear these three times a week for two hours, and I cannot walk - REJECTED. The medical assistant also tried repeatedly to get me to take the wrong orthotics. Again, I rejected the orthotics and the boots. This incident propelled me to examine my insurance EOBs - I began to suspect that this office may attempt to take advantage of my excellent (teacher's) insurance policy from Horizon. Over the next two weeks, while I waited for the proper orthotics to arrive at the office, I received a couple of strange phone calls from the Oradell office. A medical assistant named "Dominique" left peculiar voicemails - sometimes a message ended halfway with a hang-up, other times "Dominique" giggled her way through to a message's end, as if she were being tickled behind the counter; she also mailed handwritten follow-up letters about missing follow-up appointments. Furthermore, the office billing department over-billed Horizon - just as I suspected! Horizon paid ten-times the cost for the replacement orthotics - I have the invoice cost from inside the hermetically-sealed, original package - and they paid four-times the cost for those space boots that I rejected (that are listed on Amazon for a mere $27.50). Moreover, I was billed for seeing Dr. Brucato - who the heck is that? Positives? * Kind attention from Dr. Donovan * Orthotic castings are easy to make in the office * Good location * Easy parking * X-rays on premises Negatives? * Unprofessional medical assistants and phone demeanor * Pushy attitudes * Highly-questionable billing * Patient requests are ignored What advice would you give to someone considering this practice? Decide for yourself if the New Jersey Foot & Ankle Center in Oradell, New Jersey is right for you. Go for a consultation, and if their services meet your needs, proceed with caution. If you're elderly, avoid this practice - you will be taken for a ride. Young people must keep close track of ever penny billed and every product sold (pushed) through the office. If a new "device" comes in the examination room, get prices from the office billing department immediately before you agree to take it home, and compare on Amazon.com instantly! They have the most unprofessional and uncaring staff. I was in in late August. Dr. Donovan clipped my toenails to be sent for lab work to ascertain what fungus I'm suffering from. Two months later, no results. I called last month. After 4 phone calls I was finally put on with the useless manager "Jerry" who laughed when I told about the surly treatment I had received on previous calls. Apparently they hadn't noticed that no one's labs had been sent off for weeks and that they were just sent off. A month later. Nothing. No word. I patiently sat there until 9:50. I asked the young lady at the desk how much longer I'd have to wait. She checked with someone, and then she told me that it was busy and couldn't tell me how much longer I'd have to wait. There was no mention of a medical emergency to explain the delay. I walked out. Both of them are professional and warming which has created me to feel at ease and what I say is mportant My doctor rhat I've have the pleasure of dealing with for the past 2 years is Dr. Cohen. He is the "BEST" doctor that I ever had.What makes him the best and "AWESOME" is he takes the time to listen instead of rushing to go the next patient, he's understanding, caring, and honest. Plan on taking the day off of work, they will make you wait three hours for your appointment. I gave them a deposit that was supposed be refunded and for four months they held my money until I repeatedly called about sending my refund back. They require a $100 deposit and are supposed to return it when they receive the insurance payment. They already were paid by my insurance company and they STILL DIDNT PAY ME! This place is terrible. The nurses will beg you to say something nice about them for fear that they will be fired by the doctor. What an inappropriate conversation in front of my 6 and 9 year old daughters. I got orthotics for my shin pain, shin pain continued. I went a year later and had to pay $60 for them to be resurfaced. when i returned to wearing them i got stabbing pains in my arch and blisters 2 inches in diameter. I returned there 4 times for their mistakes when i should have only been there 2 times. 1 for the appointment, 2 to pick up a night splint that they could have just given me the first time(it took 45 minutes for something that i could have just signed off on and taken right away), 3 to pick up the orthotics and 4 to have them cut them to size because they wouldn't fit. It would be a 5th time because they put me through so much pain but i refuse to return. Also, one of the male employees is very rude and speaks very sarcastically with clients. read more

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Doctor Brucato is has a terrific bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. She did the surgery for my planter fasciitis after trying everything else to help relieve the pain. My heel and foot have not given me a problem since. I recently returned for bunion pain and the cortisone shots are helping and I will be getting my new orthotic inserts Tuesday. This should prevent them from getting worse so I do not have to get surgery for them. I like that she tries everything before having to do surgery. The wait time is very good. I've petsonally never waited more than 15 minutes. I highly recommend Doctor Brucato. read more

I would have given it 5 stars if all of the staff had their masks on correctly. Being in the medical profession, this is a disgrace. They should know that the masks should cover their noses. Im horrible with names but each person that worked with me did great. The first visit was great, the guy who worked and taped me was smart and personal. The second visit was great also, had my foot scanned and the girl who did that was nice and everyone has always asked if I needed something to drink. TV's in almost every room makes it a little easier while waiting. Now, I only started going yesterday but it seems that they have figured out what's going on with my foot. Yes, their office is a little out dated but what doctors office isn't. Again staff and doctors were polite. Four out of five stars is pretty good. read more

I visited this practice on August 11, 2020. At that time, my foot was examined and a small piece of my toenail was clipped to be sent to a lab. Now? Exactly three (3) weeks later, I still have yet to be provided with the results of the test. I have called multiple times, only to be put on hold or hung-up on. When I asked for the office manager's voicemail, I was transferred to another voicemail and told that it is "the same person." I plan to file a complaint with the NJ Board of Medicine and dispute the claim with my insurance company. Their lack of response and inability to provide pertinent information regarding test results, is not only unprofessional, but unforgivable. read more

This office USED to be good. However my last 2 visits were awful! I dont know why this office bothers making appointments - when you have to sign in and then they basically do first come first serve. I waited for hours after my 6:30 appointment b/c they took people that arrived before me that had 7pm appointments. The room I went into was a mess with blood on the floor. I was seen by Dr. Donovan who barely listened tomy issues and then took other patients in between me. He was all over the place. He also wrote the prescription for the MRI out for the WRONG foot and I had to go back to get the script for the correct foot. Dont get me started on their billing department.
