The scheduling department is TERRIBLE! They need to revamp their system and staff. We are dealing with patients who require empathy, support, kindness, and compassion. Rude staff. No bedside manner. We needed to see a doctor right away due to screening results. No appointments were available for weeks. When we called and left a message for further follow-up, no one called back for several days. Never go here, they won't treat you right, and if anything happens, they don't have time for you. When we asked for the first cancellation, we were told to call back everyday in the morning, and beg them for an appointment. This is simple negligence. How hard is it to maintain a list of those wanting to get in sooner. read more

I have been going to NJPA since my 12th week of pregnancy. I am considered high risk because of my age and also because I needed to undergo amniocentesis. Dr. Leon Smith performed it for me and it was not painful at all. Dr. Smith is very confident with the procedure which made us very comfortable about doing it. The results were all positive and overall the communication and receptionists have been timely and great. The charges to my insurance have also been reasonable and we didn't have to shell out so much out of pocket. read more

I called the Perinatal to reschedule an appointment. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and began yelling, blaming us for not scheduling correctly. I understand that everyone can have difficult days, and I wasn't expecting an overly empathetic response -- but I also didn't expect to be treated with disrespect. Given the anxiety and emotional weight of pregnants who need to seek high risk professionals, it was very upsetting. I ended the call unsure if the appointment was rescheduled, and I was too shaken to ask for clarification. After the call, I couldn't stop crying. I am impressed with the kindness and professionalism shown by the doctors, nurses... So I hesitated to write this, but I believe it's important to speak up -- not just for myself, but for other pregnant women who deserve respectful and compassionate care. I tried to find a way to formally report this... I tried looking for a "Contact Us" option on the website, but couldn't find anything. read more

So I was referred here by my OB for a routine 20 week anatomy scan, first pregnancy. I will start with the positive, when you actually arrive at the Livingston office, its actually totally fine. I didn't know I had to sign in, but but realized once I saw others do it. The front desk woman was nice, the staff member who brought me back for a weight and blood pressure check was nice, the sonograph tech Xena was kind and explained what she was seeing and assured me when I was nervous. She tried extra hard to get those pics of my hiding son so I didn't have to come back. The doctor who came in after and talked to me about my results was really nice. There was a wait for which they apologized as they were integrating a new system, but I can live with that. I also assume some women need more time getting those scans and so waiting for me is understandable in an office like this. So in person, great. Don't be afraid to come here, it really was worth it in the end. Just get ready for the potential of some administrative headaches when dealing with them over the phone. Getting this appointment was hard. My OB sent the referral to NJPA & told me I'd get a call soon. 1.5 weeks go by and no call. I confirm with my OB that they sent it. So I had to call NJPA and the woman I spoke to emphatically denied receiving the referral, told me should couldn't make my appointment without one, and sounded panicked because I was now not going to get my scan at 20 weeks which was a little nerve racking for me. She put me on hold and when she came back she actually was able to make my appointment, just at 21.5 weeks instead. Fine, I can accept that the referral may have gotten lost in the shuffle or maybe they forgot to call me. That amount of time doesn't make too much of a difference, but the complications just kept coming. 2 days later NJPA leaves me a message telling me that my OB requested I have genetic counseling which was news to me. My OB never discussed that with me, and it worried me. So far I'm having a low-risk, under the age of 35 pregnancy without complications and had extensive genetic counseling already at my fertility clinic. I call my OB & they say that they definitely did not order that for me, don't take the appointment. So I call NJPA back to tell them my OB did not order it but they pushed and literally said "Yes they did." The woman then proceeded to pressure me to take the appointment telling me that if I didn't that she would have to talk to her supervisor and I'd have to sign a waiver when I arrived stating I was refusing treatment, which is a scary thing to hear and I felt like I was doing something wrong so I took the appointment. I called my OB one more time about this, to literally triple check they really didn't order it. This time my OB's office said they would call NJPA directly for me to explain to them. They did, and NJPA got back to me and said the would cancel the counseling and I'd have to sign that waiver. When I got to the office, there wasn't even a waiver. All this to say, when you're scheduling these things, it's time sensitive and nerve racking, they gave me unnecessary worry. But once I got there, it was not an issue! Just some food for thought, if you get through the phone slog, you'll be fine! read more

I adore Dr Dziadosz. During multiple stressful visits she's remained pleasant, encouraging, reassuring and supportive. I'd highly refer her. The wait can at times exceed 30-45mins per visit, but she's worth the wait. Front desk staff however, rarely pick up the phones & aren't the most pleasant to interact with. read more

Most unfriendly staff I have ever experienced. it is virtually impossible to get anyone on the phone - they did not respond to my message on the answering machine for over 2 weeks making me miss the window for an early scan. children are not allowed not only in the exam room but even the waiting room. they made my 12 year old daughter sit outside on the hall. during summer not everyone always ha s someone to take care of the kids. my daughter was very excited to hear the heartbeat of her brother... have not experienced that in any other clinic. just very disappointing experience overall read more

The service was terrible. First I couldn't get anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment. After me, the doctor's office, and a representative from the VA called, I was finally able to schedule an appointment. When I got to the appointment I had to wait an hour to be seen, with a full bladder which was uncomfortable to say the least. When I called to schedule my follow up (I figured I'll give them mother chance), I was told that I cancelled my follow up, which I didn't. The person on the phone gave me conflicting instructions to what my doctor told me, and when I pointed out the inconsistency. The person on the phone called me aggressive, hostile and rude and hung up. I will not be returning there and I will dissuade all other VA patients to go to another provider. The one redeeming quality this place has is Esther Choi, the wonderful genetic counselor they have. read more

I was shocked to see such poor reviews. I had been to NJ Perinatal at a different location for my first pregnancy and was nervous returning to this Livingston location. However, I trust my OBGYN and went anyway. I am so happy I did. Went for two visits so far and everything ran smoothly. Sign in was easy, they honored my appointment times, and the whole process was like a well-oiled machine. First appointment I may have waited 30 min, but that doesn't seem ridiculous to me considering it's a doctor's office. Second appointment, I asked staff when is it "less busy" and they recommended a 1230P appointment and there was no wait at all. The US technicians talked me and my husband through what they were seeing to make the process even more enjoyable. My first pregnancy, due to Covid precautions, I was alone and though they let me video record at that time-- but it was special to share this experience with my husband at the office. Unfortunately, my first ultrasound didn't show my son's face, so I had to return for a second US. The doctor made sure to assure me that I was returning for specific reasons, but she did not suspect any abnormalities. Luckily the 2nd US we got all the pictures we needed. Again, the doctor took the time to explain what to expect and answer any questions we may have. Though the process was quick, we didn't feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing more advanced testing. Pregnancies are difficult, especially if you're high risk. Not to discount all that others have experienced, but I am happy to say every staff member was professional with me and extremely helpful. Also, prior to my appointment I discussed any possible out-of-pocket fees. They told me what information they had for co-pay and advised if I wanted to confirm I could call my insurance company. There were no surprise fees billed to me. It was all covered by insurance except for the co-pay. read more

The Parsipanny facility is good with their ultrasound services but there are disconnect in communication channels. You communicate one detail to a nurse but that information will never reach the doctor and another nurse will inquire on the same topic again with you within a few hours. They are polite as long as you continue implementing all their recommendations. But the moment you express any reservations or discomfort towards accepting their recommended medication (which is every patient's right) , they become outright rude. And that includes the complete staff, nurses, radiologists and doctors. They become uncooperative and either give you a cold treatment or treat you with snappy comments. A more professional and kind behavior is expected from a medical organization, especially towards a pregnant woman. read more

I'll start with the positive: the people that work here are all very nice. Reception, phlebotomists, nurses, and techs are all quite kind and doing a lovely job (docs are ok). I did not have cause to use any of the genetic services so I can't speak to that. This is the place for you if you enjoy waiting a MINIMUM of an hour in a windowless waiting room to be seen. A dirty, crowded, hot waiting room. I have actually waited an hour and a half with no exaggeration for a sonogram. All three times I've been here though, no less than one hour. On stained chairs. Once you go in those rooms aren't exactly comfortable either, as you have air conditioning vents blow directly on your exposed/gelled pregnant stomach. Cool. It does seem like the bills are high. Comparing to other facilities, the charge that my insurance company gets (and then I end up getting) seems on the higher end like other reviews say. I'm almost done with my pregnancy so I didn't find another provider because it wasn't worth the hassle. But I'd recommend finding one if you are at the start of your search. read more

All the doctors I have met here were super nice and answered any questions. Specifically Dr. Wolf. He had great bed side manner. All the techs are super nice and friendly. I would agree with the wait time being ridiculous. I get taken for vitals after 10 mins or so but wait another 30-40 for an ultrasound. And I was put on the monitor for over an hour and the tech told me 3 times the doctor is coming. After 30 mins of being told he was coming, he showed up. I was there for a total of 3 hours. Insane! I have a HUGGGEEE issue with the parking. Every time the valet parking is three car lanes wide. Absolutely ridiculous. You can't even use the road as it's meant to be used because valet has completely taken over. And now as of very recent, they started taking up about 20 or so spots in the parking lot that already is a small lot and is very difficult to find parking. It's ridiculous. They have a security officer or someone sitting in a car. Wasting a space. I went there for an emergency visit, took my 15 mins to find parking driving in circles, then I see a guy leaving a spot I go to take it and the valet guys starts screaming at me, we need that spot for valet. Mind you there's roped off areas designated for valet, why are you shouting at me!? This clearly is t roped off so how would anyone know that!?! So happy I am done visiting this location. They really need to figure something out. read more

I have to agree with the previous reviews that the one lady at the front desk had a terrible attitude. They need to let their front desk staff read these reviews and have an intervention as to the importance of customer service. I also have to agree that the wait time is pretty long as well. I went for my first trimester screening a few weeks ago and as everyone has said, the nurses/ultrasound tech are great. I have Dr. Miller and I like him as well. I've been coming to NJ perinatal twice a week due to a high risk pregnancy and I can only say positive things about them. I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews especially bc I have not experienced the same things at all. I have never had any trouble finding parking...I think one time I drove around the lot for 10 minutes but every other time I found a spot right away. There's also valet which is also validated after your visit. More importantly and the reason I've given them 5 stars is because I find the all of the staff including front desk, technicians and dr's very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They've helped me feel very secure throughout this pregnancy and I would absolutely use them again. read more

Be aware! Their pricing is overly expensive. You can get the same services done in any other clinic for 1/3 of the price. They sent me a bill of $1483 dollars for a sonogram... oh and my insurance gave me a 500 discount so the bill was actually around $2000... in another place I got the same done for $350. read more

I went to the NJ Perinatal Associates Livingston location twice during my pregnancy upon request of my (at-the-time) OBGYN. My OBGYN wanted me to go there initially to get all my 1st trimester pre-screening blood-work done to make sure there weren't any diseases or syndromes that my baby might have that they weren't detecting in their blood-work and to get some more ultrasounds done. Making the appointment with the NJ Perinatal Associates wasn't my issue. The ultrasound technicians/the doctors weren't my issue either. The only issue I had with this office is this one lady that worked at the front desk. She had such a negative attitude and was very nasty to the people signing in and waiting in the lobby area, including myself. Any question or comment thrown at her was an automatic puss-face or rolling of the eyes. She also responded to your question or comment with "You're going to have to take a seat and wait. I'm dealing with something else right now. I will call you soon and answer your question then," but in a nasty tone. You could tell she didn't like her job very much and she definitely wasn't people-oriented at all. Besides the fact that the lady at the front was completely rude and nasty, I enjoyed my two visits to the NJ Perinatal Associates office. The technicians were very friendly and informative and really knew their stuff. The two different doctors I dealt with there were also very friendly and helpful. The only other thing I wasn't too happy with was the ultrasound pictures. My OBGYN's office took better ultrasound pictures than these more high-tech machines at the NJPA's office did. Beware if you make an appointment at this location. Leave plenty of time for waiting. My wife and I waited an average of 2 hours for each of our 3 visits here (a total of 6 hours). We commiserated with the other patients in the waiting room about their similar experiences with this practice. I am surprised I have not seen more negative reviews on this subject. The technicians and doctors are all great, but the extensive waits and overall inconsideration about their scheduling practices make it not worth the visit IMO. read more

Dr Dziadosz treated me with alot of respect and she gave me the information I needed to make informed decisions ( good and bad) . She treats her patients like intelligent individual humans and I can tell you how much I appreciate that. I am grateful to have her as my doctor. This review is not about the quality of patient care, but about the logistics of getting an appointment. The hours are 7:30-4:30, M-F and when they call you to make an appointment, there are generally very few slots available--even a month or six weeks in advance. In both cases so far, I have had to/will have to take half a day off of work, or leave for three hours in the middle of the work day, to go to my appointment because they do not offer ample morning coverage or any evening coverage to support the needs of their patients--particularly those who are working. I tried to explain this to the doctor I saw on my first visit, and she responded by telling me that many of their clients are working people, not just me--which was confusing as an attempted rebuttal, given that that is exactly my point. The doctor then continued on by chastising for me being late, which I was, by ten minutes, because there was no parking. I don't know how responsive the other doctors might be to adjusting the office hours to better suit the needs of their clientele, but I'm thus far very disappointed in what is clearly a blind spot here. I tried to mitigate for this for myself by booking my third appointment well in advance, but was told that I cannot do so. There is an expectation that you will take off from work for every appointment. Most other facilities will offer some kind of early or afternoon hours, even a few days a week. In this case, there is little to no interest in that kind of accommodation. If my ob worked with another facility in the area, I would happily move, but as of now, I'm stuck. On top of it, as other reviewers have said, the parking situation is not adequate--which means that I will have to leave even earlier from work in order to allow enough time to circle around all of the hospital lots looking for parking. The patient care is good, but facility's value of patient time is very low. read more

I have made 2 visits to this office and hated it. The staff, in particular the techs don't look like they enjoy their jobs. You go there excited to see your baby and you just get these people who just suck the fun and excitement ouT of the whole experience. My wife and I came from another Practice and from day one, we saw a clear difference... night and day. The space itself alongside the equipment is clean and modern... the staff in the front is very helpful and nice, the nurses and techs are very professional and sweet, and all of the doctors are great. Our doctor is Dr Dziadosz- she's AMAZING... so helpful in answering all of our questions, making us feel safe given the nature of a high risk pregnancy and making herself easily available to us. We are so lucky and happy that we have her as our OB and would follow her anywhere.... couldn't recommend her enough if you are searching for a top notch high risk OB. Hope this helps :) read more

I started seeing Dr. Dziadozs during my last pregnancy (high risk, preeclampsia) - and am forever grateful for the amazing medical and emotional support that I received throughout my pregnancy. They are some of the most experienced, knowledgeable, and caring doctors and always put forth an incredible amount of time and energy toward making sure their patients are given the best care. This is my third experience with New Jersey Perinatal Associates. All of the doctors are top quality specifically Dr. Dziadosz. She has taken care of me for my last 2 pregnancies and is very smart and knowledgeable. The ultrasound techs also are very nice. Dr. Dziadosz and all doctors there take the time to answer your questions and are very thorough. Would definitely recommend this place. I've been here for two separate pregnancies - one for my twin pregnancy and currently for my singleton. I have to say, my experience with my twin pregnancy at NJ Perinatal was WAYYYYYY better. I primarily saw Dr. Warren back then, who was really amazing and supportive. Ultrasound techs that we had back then were all friendly, compassionate, and all around nice. Fast forward three years later and we find ourselves going back to NJ Perinatal for my current singleton pregnancy. My biggest complaint is the front desk receptionist staff. They either ignore you or they're just plain incompetent. They seriously just look like they hate being there, and therefore must make you feel that you hate being there too. One in particular walked right into me one day (a visibly pregnant woman) in the elevator all the while never looking up from his cellphone. Then after you're done with the appointment, they make you WAIT just to get your parking ticket validated and look exasperated/ annoyed when you ask them politely if your chart has made it up front and how much longer it may take. My husband and mom witnessed today how a patient literally fainted by the front desk, and none of the front desk staff actually looked up, until my husband demanded for a nurse or a doctor. Compassionate care? Ridiculous. It doesn't stop there, unfortunately. The last couple of ultrasound technicians we've been assigned to are just not... great. They are so matter of fact, quiet (not really explaining what we are looking at) and some really do not bother to take good quality pictures that all expecting parents want from their scans. And while I've loved most of the doctors I've encountered there (Dr. Warren, Dr. Miller, Dr. Terrone, and Dr. Wolf - Dr. Wolf is probably my favorite, with a warm demeanor and great bedside manner), I also encountered a doctor that I wasn't a big fan of today - Dr. O'Brien. He was just curt, quick, and didn't even ask me how I was feeling. I don't think he even addressed me by name and completely ignored my husband and mom in the room - none of the other doctors have ever done that. Quite disappointing. I don't know what is up with the decline in quality, but I am just super glad I'm done with NJ Perinatal after today's visit and hopefully don't have to go back there again. read more

I liked the staff. They were all very friendly and answered all my questions professionally. The wait time is terrible. My appointment was at 1 and we got out at 5pm. The US technician was pretty good at her job and made convo but didn't give us much information as expected. The MD sucked. Dr. Warren has a nice soothing voice, seemingly friendly but basically told us that there were two signs which showed up on the US that can indicate Down's or Trisomy's without much explanation. She didn't go any further than just that. Even with my questioning, I got a very short and vague answer. I had to look up online what it all meant while wondering how worried should I be. My initial reaction was tremendous stress and anxiety but after looking online, there are many other signs such as the length of the baby's legs, the thickness of the nuchal folds, the congential heart defects, and the lack of the bone in the bridge of the nose which are stronger indicators. I wish the MD could have stated these markers to us. I thought two signs/ markers were bad but some people online said they found four and the baby turned out fine. The are also sensitivity issues with US as well. The marker in the brain was a bright spot or a cyst which can disappear during the growth process. All this was not explained to us. It was like, "OH you can do amnio or further blood tests to make sure." She also left the room forgetting to measure the baby's legs but returned to do so. I seemed like she was absentminded or didn't find it a big deal. Her actions indicated to us that it didn't seem important to her so my baby is probably fine but she didn't want to tell us that just so we would take more tests for more $$$ making. Maybe the other doctors are better but I think Dr. Warren kind of enjoyed the fact that we were shocked and worried and didn't care to ease our feelings at all. I know she doesn't have to sugar coat things for us but more information would have been helpful especially about something so dear and special to us. read more

Staff is great. Doctors and technicians. However, the wait time is ridiculous. I had a 9:30 appointment and saw the tech for my vitals about 15 minutes later. I did not get an ultrasound until 10:50. The front desk explained that people were late but that is not my problem. They need a better system. Agree with everyone's reviews about the front desk staff. They are absolutely unprofessional and rude. The doctors and techs are somewhat nice. But the wait time is ridiculous. I was asked to wait to see the doctor once the tech finished and the doctor took half an hour to show up. My lower back started cramping and I couldn't get up on my own and couldn't call for help. I called the front desk and she told me I was connected to the wrong location and should call someone from the Livingston office front desk. This is despite me telling her that I'm in a lying down position, need help getting up and the Livingston number kept coming up as out of service. There's a young girl at the front desk who treats you like crap if you come to check out before she calls your name. How are these people still employed is beyond me! Think twice before making an appointment here. The wait time is horrendous. They had me waiting in an office naked for 30 minutes waiting for a doctor. I had to call the front desk to make sure that the doctor was aware that I was waiting. When Dr. Miller arrived all he stated was that he was with another patient so I had to wait. This was on top of the hour wait in the waiting room. The doctor then had incorrect information about my pregnancy. I am high risk pregnancy and high risk for going into preterm labour, for which I take medications. I called numerous times to make sure that the nurses were following through wtih my perscription, after the pharmacy told me that my prescription could not be filled for this month due to NJ Perinatal not submitting their paperwork on time. Low and behold, the day I need my injections, I am infromed by the pharmacy that the nurse, Julie Palmer, never had them send me the medication to my house. Which means I won't have medication to prevent preterm labour for five days. After they have stressed how important it is to take on time. They are INCOMPETANT. my recommendation is to find another doctor. read more

I don't know if covid just turned EVERY prenatal clinic into a saddening and frustrating experience or if it's always been like that because this is my first pregnancy but I am so disappointed in my appointment . My doctor practices at summit medical care ( please do yourself a favor and stay away from there as well), but they use this clinic for the 12 week ultrasound as well as the 20 week one. They scheduled my 12 week ultrasound at 11 weeks 2 days. I waited for 2.5 hours before being seen by a doctor and they just told me that I shouldn't have came in yet because the baby needs to be at least 11 weeks 5 days to see everything they need to see. Why would they make my appointment so early then?? I am moving out of state ( thank goodness or else I'd be searching for a different doctor in NJ) but not for another 2 weeks so I could have easily came in a few days later. Also- I was told by summit that this clinic allows husbands and it turns out they do not. Mine had to wait outside the suite the entire time. When I asked if I can FaceTime him they ( very unhappily) told me fine but only once the doctor enters the room. While I was FaceTiming him they did not say one word during the ultrasound so he did not even know what he is looking at at all. They just kept whispering to each other and not explaining anything to me. Also I asked if i can hear my baby's heartbeat and was told no they don't turn on the sound.... really? Overall I feel that going there was a waste of time and caused me more anxiety and frustration than anything else. read more
