I repeatedly reported severe upper abdominal pain, burning pain into my upper back, cold sweats, nausea, bloating after eating, and significant weight loss. I even told her I was scared something more serious than GERD was going on and asked if additional testing could be done. Instead of her investigating further, my symptoms were IGNORED. I was told to continue my medications and wait. Despite multiple ER visits and my continued worsening symptoms, my concerns were dismissed by Dr. Nguyen-Espino. Eventually, I ended up back in the emergency room, where I was diagnosed with a gallbladder emergency and required emergency surgery........ I repeatedly asked for help could have prevented my condition. The first ER visit, the ER doctor advised me to take medication for stones. And Dr. Nguyen-Espino asked me to stop. emergency room: The doctors, nurses, and staff in the ER were amazing!. They listened to me, took my symptoms seriously, found the problem, and gave me the care I desperately needed. I am extremely grateful to them. Dr. Nguyen-Espino should be investigated and re evaluated on the care she is giving to her patients. This was preventable, and she repeatedly ignored me. Please, choose a different doctor.

Here's my honest review, because I promise you I did not want to be here for this appointment…read moretoday. I needed to have a colpo done, which I hear is horrible but I've had it done once before today and I just don't share the same experience as my friends. I'm happy to say that remained the case today - no pain. My appointment was at 10am. Because I didn't want to go, I had pushed it out of my memory a month ago when the appointment was made. Either way, I'm happy I still had my appointment card to remind me of my appointment. It was laying on my floor and then I remembered 13 minutes til my appointment. I got there around 10:15. It can be confusing to find because this isn't a stand alone Planned Parenthood like I'm accustomed to seeing. It's inside of a larger building that's home to many other offices. PPH is located on the third floor. There's also two waiting rooms at this location. Everyone I interacted with here was pleasant. In particular, a woman named Corissa who took my blood pressure and was able to answer quite a few questions for me. For me, it's really about feeling comfortable, and I felt that here. The doctor and the nurse made me feel comfortable considering I had a colpo and a biopsy. COVID safety protocol was followed - After My appointment was over I dropped my phone on the floor and was offered gloves and sanitizing wipes immediately. Many people are worried about the virus, and for good reason, so I feel I have to add this in in regard to my experience. TIP: if you're low income and don't have any health insurance, I urge you to ask them about Family Pact. Many services, if not all, are covered for you under Family Pact.

However, I was very unhappy about the nurse (short lady with blonde hair) who had to draw my blood! When she put the needle in my arm, I felt a weird sensation down my arm and my hand and fingers started tingling. My arm kind of jerked and I told the nurse my hand felt weird. She said it was because my circulation was cut off. I am certain the nurse hit my nerve with the needle. It has almost been a week since my visit and my arm and hand is still having a tingling sensation. I will not be back here again for this reason! I have had my blood drawn numerous times at other places like Kaiser and Sutter Health and this is the first time I ever had this experience.

So, I had been experiencing a tension headache for a week. Went to the ER to get it evaluated. All…read morei can say is I was so greatly taken care of! Im 19 year old woman, pretty young and i have anxiety. I obviously was nervous. The staff were so nice! They were responsive about my head injuries i have had previously, and made sure to joke around to make care easier. First thing they did was get be on some light painkillers, didn't help much, but it was nice of them. The guy who was treating me had 3 daughters, so already he was responsive to me. He was hilarious. I am honestly very scared of needles, which he was quick to point out as ridiculous since i have 18 gauge holes all over me. I have a lot of piercings (like a lot). He said this would be nothing, and told me to be at the beach. My demeanor may have made their jobs easier because I did get a small giggle out of a seemingly very exhausted nurse near him. My nurse in the ER main area was honestly the best. It was cool because she made my appointment personal! I have gotten concussions from rugby in the past, and the nurse who took my case said she came because she also plays rugby! CRAZY. Honeslty she gave me great advice and told me to consider (seriously consider) stopping. She was great. I wish i could remember her name! (She was the best nurse i have ever had for anything ever shoutout her). I was definitely not wanting to stay long so as soon as they said i was ok and not suffering anything life threatening i got out of there. They gave me a muscle relaxer that was an absolute godsend and i'm so thankful for that. I recently have been getting better. My headache comes back sometimes, and i believe that after recent a head CT, it is a chronic migraine or something else like neck or muscle tension. Could also be Post Concussion Syndrome. Oh also i got that head CT at Alta Bates too! It was like 5 minutes and the nurse was great. Results came back normal! Alta Bates is also where I was born so nice reunion with the place after 19 years! I recommend it. Side Note: I did come on a very not busy day, and i had pre evaluated insurance that is partnered with the hospital. Thus my care was a lot quicker than others. I got very lucky, but the staff were were truly put me at ease. Still, take this review with a slight grain of salt.

I had unlimited supply of water and round the clock assistance whenever I needed it, and they worked with my birthing Doula quite well during the actual birth.

I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Wallace at this clinic. San Pablo Rd (the main road…read moreleading to this clinic) was closed in one direction for over 10 min. so I was stuck. I called the Sutter number listed for this location from my car to let them know what was happening and they told me they'll let the office know and no problem. Sutter has a 15-min late policy which allows them to cancel your appointment if you're late. I walked in 14 minutes into my appointment time. After checking in and waiting to see the doctor, I was told that Dr.Wallace decided to cancel my appointment. I was shocked! I asked to speak to Dr. Wallace, but I was told she needed to leave early that day and was filling out paperwork. I waited to speak to the clinic manager and complained that my appointment should not be cancelled because a doctor wants to leave early on a Friday afternoon and that I was not technically late. She explained that I was late, because the checking in process took about 2-3 minutes. I had a time sensitive medical reason why I needed to see a PCP and waited weeks for that appointment. I was crying uncontrollably in the lobby and requested again to just speak to the doctor briefly, but she refused and did not care. It is a terrible feeling to deal with a medical problem and feel that no one is willing to help you. I cannot imagine that a doctor who treats any of her patients in this careless way can be an effective or empathetic caretaker. Obviously this clinic is pretty bad also from all the 1-star reviews.

We were charged over $500 for simple tests we didn't ask for and didn't need. In another case, we brought in routine camp health forms for my daughter. The front desk wouldn't accept them without an appointment. During the visit, the doctor confirmed the appointment wasn't actually needed for the forms, yet we were still charged based on minor concerns that came up in conversation. The doctor was kind, but unfortunately, the costs were never clearly explained. Both situations felt like "gotcha" billing... Originally this was a two star review, but I just discovered the bill was sent to collections - we've been waiting for Sutter to respond to my letter appealing the charges.
