Update #2: After posting my reviews, I received a call/email from BLC. Although we had a good chat and they refunded a portion of my fees, I'm still disappointed. Since then, I received a bill from the lab they had referred me to for services I paid to BLC. No one said there would be further costs associated. And now, I'm seeing the owner posting on public social media groups that she is going to Mexico and will vacation for a month then live and work from there. So how do you truly treat patients if you can't ever see them in person? Is that where my $$ went? I can't afford a month long vacation anywhere after paying over $2000 (even after refund, for various services and supplements). I guess the business model is working--- more power to her but I will not recommend. read more

Last year I experience major health issues which caused me severe pain, intense fatigue, unable to eat anything without repercussions. I gained weight and had swelling. I went to Dr. Brandy because of ongoing hip and shoulder pain. My MD ignored it because "it's all part of aging". I didn't like that answer!!! I was comfortable from the moment I met Dr Brandy. I was wondering if the reviews for this place were written by family and close friends, but my skepticism has been deleted. I recently experienced the magic of Body Love Cafe during a Body Bliss Treatment with Dr. K. She's new to the practice and specializes in pre/post natal care. Note that Dr. K works on all individuals. I'm not pregnant and I felt very welcome from everyone from the time I walked in the door. I have had many years of chiropractic care and I'm convinced women excel at adjusting a very special way. I thought hearing sounds like I was being de-boned like a chicken was normal and expected during an adjustment. There was none of that with Dr. K. Everything was so gentle that I didn't expect to feel any different when I left. Well, it was a body and mind altering experience. I have been sitting at a desk job and thought that plus a lack of exercise was causing shortness of breath when I walked any sort of distance or climbed stairs. I also figured no exercise was why I've lost higher notes in my range and had no breath with singing. Wow -- right after and since my adjustment, the breath now flowing thru my body has given me hope. I'm not getting as winded as before and totally hear and feel a difference in my singing. Amazing!! And life changing! Everyone there is great and super helpful. I have been battling infections for awhile and decided I didn't want to keep taking antibiotics for it. Dr. B has put me through a course of supplements and diet changes and lifestyle changes and my labs are improving each time! My husband and I are seeing Dr. Brandy for nutrition and functional medicine. It is so amazing to understand why things happen the way they do and how they are connected. I went to see Dr. Brandy because I was experiencing a lot of stiffness and tension throughout my body, and I had heard wonderful things about her practice. I found this place through a friend, and it has been amazing so far. Dr. Brandy is so knowledgeable and generous with her time, and I haven't even had my first appointment yet. This is the place I've been looking for. They also have Body Work, and the sessions have really helped me - therapeutic massage with David, and Dr. K the chiropractor. I did not know I was so tight. I have never had a session with a chiropractor before, so I had no idea what I've been missing, and I don;t normally like massages - these are well worth it. The results from the AAT services I received here were absolutely unbelievable. I came in seeking help with some pretty severe cat allergies, and after a handful of treatments, I am relatively cat-allergy free! I was skeptical at first, but knew if I went into my western-based healthcare provider, I would be told that there was either a pill or shots for my allergies and I knew I wanted to try a different approach - so glad I did!! I will admit that I was a little skeptical at first. When I mentioned this to Dr. K, she replied "you're my favorite type of patient". So happy I was able to see Dr.Brandy before my labor started.Not only did she get my lined up correctly so I could have the natural birth I desired but she also helped with my chronic scoliosis and injuries from over the years. The name of this business makes you wonder...but just go and see what it is all about. You feel better just walking in this place, it exudes well being! I have seen Dr. Brandy for a few appointments and am in the middle of a detox plan. I have lots weight, inches around my waist and have more energy and feel lighter. She is very knowledgeable and you get the feeling she really wants to help you feel better. She was referred to me by my primary care physician, which I consider an incredible endorsement, given we live in a country where western medicine, insurance, and pharm do not readily embrace functional medicine as a valid option for healing. I happened upon Doc Brandy because I was looking for someone to help me with my benign positional vertigo. And then we got to talking about functional medicine and nutrition and she got me to attend her Body Love Challenge group meetings. WOW. She covered a lot of ground in a few meetings, and quite honestly, a lot of the information she covered, I had spent the last two YEARS learning. She is a wealth of information! I visited Dr. Brandy last week for a scheduled appointment after viewing her amazing menu of available services. I was intrigued by her healing practice. It is so different than anywhere I've ever been, and I've been many places looking to heal a body battered by years of extreme sports. Ahh, that menu! It was hard to decide. I just had my first session with Brandy, and immediately I felt at ease. I have seen three or four other chiropractors over the years, and she has a level of sensitivity that I really appreciate. She listens very closely and asks great questions to get to know what's going on with your body. But it's clear that she also learns with her fingertips. I could feel her getting to know the structures of my body as part of her assessment. She also communicates what she finds as she goes along and speaks in terms that are very understandable, and often humorous. She is also great about offering different options for adjustments and massage technique to accommodate different levels of pain tolerance. I came in with a lot of different areas of pain, many of which have been chronic over a period of years. So, I expect that our work will take more than just one visit. I am looking forward to spending more time in her care of though, and I will update this review as I have more time to see how my body responds. Update, 9/24/16: It just gets better and better. I've had several sessions now. I'm starting to have arches in my formerly flat feet. When I walk, I feel both looser and more grounded. The range of motion in my joints is improving. Brandy doesn't just work on me and send me home. She gives me homework to gently soften muscles and fascia between sessions. I have a greater sense of body awareness. Where do I even begin with all the wonderful experiences I've had at Body Love Cafe?! I have been going there for a little over a year. Prior to that, I had seen 2 other functional med docs/offices - places that were know to be amazing. Well, after still not getting the results I wanted despite lots of effort at these other places, I went to Body Love Cafe and have continually made progress and feel so much better than I ever did at the other places. Everything at Body Love Cafe has been so individually customized, and Dr. Zachary is so compassionate and knowledgable. She genuinely cares and wants me to be well. Same goes for my family - I've brought my kids here to get some support, and we have seen so much progress with them as well, as Dr. Zachary is so patient and flexible with my slow-to-warm, highly sensitive kids! In addition to Dr. Zachary's magic, my experiences with Katie and David have been wonderful. I did a Mental Makeover visit with Katie, and it was so powerful. Dr. Brandy is an exceptional healer, in that she is as much an educator as she is a chiropractor. She knows a lot about alternative healing practices from herbs to bodywork, and frequently offers free classes to share her knowledge. Patients can sign up for private sessions or, for one of the best deals, her "open sessions" where you can go three times a week for a monthly rate. When I first went to her practice, my right hip was so painful I had to haul myself up stairs using both hands on the bannister. In less than two months, the pain has gone.
