Every walked into a place and you're instantly giddy because of the environment or build out? Cause that's exactly how I felt here!! My friends and I decided to have 1 last breakfast before flying back to Los Angeles. I yelped this place and when we walked in, it felt so welcoming to us. It was cozy, decorated in a fun way and there was fake grass!!! I knew right then that my meal would be amazing because my mood was set. When we sat in wooden tables that resembled us having a picnic, we were greeted by extremely kind staff. We ordered, got recommendations on teas then just sat in our seats, taking the view in. Our tea came in the MOST ADORABLE tea pot/ cut set ever!! They were matching and assembled as one. I loved it so much that I asked if they sold another set for me to take home hahah there was even a cookie on the side, which I ended up buying 2 full bags of at the restaurant hahah I ordered the full English breakfast and it was scrumptious. I loved the way the mushrooms tasted and everything else was cooked to perfection. The plating was very appealing to the eyes. Wow! This was an amazing breakfast. We had the Oh LaLa and the Mad Med with sides of hash browns and wedge potatoes. Definitely generous portions! The Oh La La (French toast) was light and sweet (but not too sweet) and the Sujuk sausage in the Mad Med was so good, we got an extra side! read more

Drove alk the way down from Hermantown, through all the detours and construction to get our favorite sandwich, The Stormy Stacker. Not sure what we got, but it sure wasn't the best sandwich ever that we usually get. I told the waitress we got the wrong sandwich and she told me that it was the right one. The "turkey" tasted more like over seasoned pork and was burnt and very dry. We paid for the upgrade for the delicious sweet potato fries, and they were great tasting, but we only each got a small handful. They no longer have the best raspberry iced tea either. I completely adore this place!!!!!! I can't believe this is my first review for New London. Today I had my my usual lunch meal. A chicken burger with chips. Massive burger and good quality chips. All for the great price of £6.45! I don't think you can find as great value in Angel, Islington for such fabulous quality. The interior is a bit like a chilled out lounge room. Non-matching tables and chairs, quirky little photos of "I don't know what of" and random little trinkets. It makes if for a famously little hideout . The staff are also wonderful friendly and warm. They take pride in their service and always have an eye for what to look out for to ensure you're completely satisfied. They magically do all of this from a distant without being in your face and having to ask "is everything okay?"...which I personally dislike. read more

Not only do I love the atmosphere of this quaint café, I also like the staff - they are warm, friendly, and attentive. They serve breakfast all day, as well as other dishes - I'd recommend the Oh La La - two large pieces of hot French toast covered in maple syrup and two slabs of bacon (bacon in optional); for me, it's the perfect blend of savoury and sweet. Their full English breakfast is also very tasty. Excellent coffee too, which they serve with these tiny cookies that have warm chocolate on the inside. I haven't written a review in years but want to encourage people to check out this spot. Such a cute little place with excellent espresso drinks and breakfast! I sat in a little corner window overlooking the street and had an excellent meal (Eggs vs Avocado is my kind of dish). My favourite is their vegetarian Spanish Omlette take-away lunch. They warm it up for you and add a fresh side salad. Really fresh, not from a plastic bag. I love the atmosphere and that they always have up to date flyers lying around to pass the time while waiting. I am quite particular with lunch boxes and theirs is great - clear plastic, nothing leaks and can be re-used. read more

The surrounding area is fantastic, so if you are a tourist you have plenty to see. The café itself is full of life. The food portion is very good, they also decorate them very nicely while serving, it certainly increases appetite. By the way, the maple syrup here tastes very authentic, not a lot of place in London can offer that. read more

This cozy little spot in Islington is a fantastic place to come for breakfast. It has a lovely courtyard in the back that is great on warm days. Inside feels like your neighbors kitchen, with wooden chairs and tables, and a charming decor. The food is excellent and well priced. They also do fresh juices and smoothies that are great. I haven't had any of their lunches yet, but they do have sandwiches, pies and soup. I definitely will return here often! read more

If you're visiting London and are looking for a good place for an English experience, this place is perfect. If you're local and searching for your staple breakfast location, New London is great for you, too. I was there with 5 others (mostly American) and everyone loved their food. Classic greasy spoon. The place is nothing fancy, however they have all the breakfast classics at a very very reasonable price. The only negative I would say is that I ordered porridge and it was swimming in honey, but my partner had the fry up which didn't disappoint. read more

Yum! This place is only a hop skip and jump from where I live, but only found out from chatting with some local businesses that it is one of the top rated (for the price) cafes in London. I was recommended to try the chorizo "pancakes" (or crepes, if you will!) and split this alongside my colleague who ordered a special with sausage, maple syrup, cheese, etc. Both were filling, yummy and quite different to other food options you get in the area. They also had fresh juice available which is always a plus! The food was great for the price, the venue quaint with friendly and quick service.
