I began telling the reason for my visit. Four months ago my diamond fell out of the setting while returning from a vacation. Always hoping I would find it, but so far no luck. So on Tuesday when my husband said let's go replace it I was very happy! The owner gave us a fair price and said it would be ready soon. We had no idea that we would get the call later that same day! Your hard earned money is better spent elsewhere…read more While on a business trip, and as a watch collector, I noticed this store advertising Rolex, Patek etc. on the overhang. I rang the door bell, no one answered, but had some time to kill before a meeting so decided to stand in the 29 degree weather and wait. Finally the store owner opened the door where I noticed the majority of watches in the store are all designer (Burberry, Gucci etc.) so not exactly what I thought based on the overhang. He then pointed me to towards the front of the store, near the window, where he did have Cartier, Rolex (many looked fake), and some other watches. After I took interest in a Cartier saying it was for my partner he let inspect the watch all while giving me basic information that highlighted his lack of watch knowledge. I then tried to take a photo of the watch to send to my partner as I was interested in purchasing, but wanted her opinion, and he told me "NO PHOTOS", I thought he was joking until he snatched the watch out of my hands and I asked him why I wouldn't be allowed to take photos to which he replied "Maybe you'll own a shop one day and understand". Mind you I collect watches, was in a dress shirt and wearing a Rolex and I have had varying degrees of profiling or service over the years, but I've NEVER been treated like this nor been told I can't take a photo of something I'm considering purchasing. Extremely sketchy. Needless to say I did not end up purchasing the watch because of the flat out disrespectful customer service and the slime ball nature of this person. From what I can see in other reviews he's ripped others off too. This is more a pawn shop than a jewelry store and one that will hopefully be run into the ground by this imbecile of an owner.
