I'd meant to review this pedestrian mall a couple weeks ago. Galleria Alberto Sordi is a wonderful…read morelittle shopping area with a handful of name brands and Italian designers. Clean and well-kept, its aesthetics are in keeping with Roman expectations. High fashion and elegant stores come together in a relaxed setting. It is also a great place to caffeinate and satisfy a sweet tooth. Algorithmic references: exceptional service, unsurpassed value, money well spent.
Worth walking in for a look around!…read more This galleria is a shopping mall with about a dozen odd stores, and a number of government offices. Some stores you may recognize at Uniqlo, Mango, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Havaianas. Gave it a 3 though since there's not a whole lot to do or see here outside of the stores and a couple cafes/restaurants. Located opposite Piazza Colonna, the building sports a stately facade (like many buildings do in Rome), and its interior impresses with floor to ceiling Art Nouveau style details, reminiscent of many buildings in Prague. While not the most elaborate designs out there, the square stained glass ceilings are noteworthy. This small mall is shaped like a "V" and divided into two walkways, with each point leading to an exit. Hours are 9am-8pm daily. Restrooms inside need payment so plan accordingly.

We were ignored for the initial portion of our visit and had to ask a few times before someone finally told us she would find us a CA to show us a few items. There were few of them laughing and looking in our direction at some point instead of actually offering assistance. Was it some underlying racism? Were we just dressed too casually? I haven't had this issue at other stores despite being dressed casually. This store is one of the larger ones in Rome and had the most item selection and in stock that we were interested in. The Via Condotti location that is not far away always seems to have a line outside while this one does not. The store within the Rinascente mall nearby has a smaller selection but I heard you can do your tax refund within the mall. Finally, the Rome airport store is quite nice but is usually very busy and cannot reserve items for you.
