Security is lacking more than ever and you can buy a pot brownie or some acid tabs in second hour everyday since giant duffle bags aren't an alarm to anyone at all. I went to this school all four years and it's the biggest joke of an education system I've been in. It makes sense to see why most of the US sees Florida as the lack in IQ and education state coming to these school grounds. The staff barely taught the correct curriculum when needed and didn't offer proper guidance too. If you wanted to talk to your guidance counselor about classes or progress and opportunities for career growth they would be impossible to find unless you were an IB student. Even when emailed they'd tell you to meet them on a day which would be 2 weeks out and still not be found. The students come from a wide array of slums and hoods which is very unattractive. It makes me happy to know I graduated a prison like system and now in college talking to advisors that HELP their students to become a better person and am now on a career path to medical excellence to provide to a family someday far out of this joke state and tell them to throw out that reunion letter when I get it...

The school is always secure and very safe. Love, how organise and secured there procedures are, just to enter the school you must always show some form of Identification. Love how they can keep a record of everyone coming in and out of the school. My child has been there since kindergarten and is a part of the high achievers class. She's now in 4th grade. Academics are #1 for them and it shows being that they're an A school for over 5+ years. I gave them 4 stars because I don't receive communication as much as I'd like from my child's teachers when it comes to projects and wanting things for the actual classroom. My child usually tells me what she needs instead of the teacher sending out a formal memo. That's my only issue. Otherwise the school is great and I appreciate all that they do for my child and other students to succeed and be the best they can be.

Ok, so I'm a few years out of high school and haven't set foot in one in decades but I was here for…read morean event. I had mixed feelings as entering the building. It was a Saturday morning with a chance of showers in the forecast so the first thing I noticed was the distance from the parking to the entrance with absolutely no cover along the way. On entry, I was impressed by the open feeling. It had the typical locker lined lobby and corridors but the lockers (I saw) were all in open spaces so there was no feeling of crowding. I had to imagine a gazillion kids. As I expect all schools are now (not where I attended) all seating was fixed. The auditorium was large but probably not large enough to seat the full student body with each seat having a folding desktop. I'm a small person and it did feel a bit crowded... I'm not sure it would be comfortable for a big kid. The desks in the classrooms seemed to be standard school issue with the metal frame and no chance of adjustment. I felt very confined and again, I would think is might be tight for anyone much larger than my petite frame. The building felt clean and comfortable. I did not use the restroom but did note it was located close the the classrooms we were using. For a public school this seemed ok... and if I had a school-age kid, I could see them here... assuming they have a good program.
