This school is 50/50. There are some teachers who teach amazingly, and teachers who refuse to teach…read moreand don't even bother to teach. One teacher doesn't even teach their elective and tries to teach language arts, another refuses to teach and forces us to do work that is useless and doesn't help us learn the science lesson/standard, another teacher assigns so much homework and teaches over 3 lessons a day expecting you to learn it quickly, another pe teacher makes you sit down on Wednesdays and take notes based off a random assignment in a magazine taking away your pe time. So many teachers can't even do their job and target kids in a rude way and weird way. Even teachers who teach children in advanced classes don't even bother to teach well and expect us to understand lessons ten times faster than a child in regular classes. Because of these teachers who don't teach well, kids are often forced/required to study at home and learn the lesson themselves. The lunch has limited options sometimes forcing kids to not eat lunch, but this happens not so often. The drama troupe is fun and enjoyable, recommend to join if your child is interested is singing, dancing, acting, and fun trips. Trying out for sports is fun, but exhausting. Sometimes try-outs will go on for over a week. Some of the coaches just pick kids for the team if they are 8th graders, tall, or on the team last year. Sometimes coaches miss the practices and make the kids or randomly select who should be on the team. Please decide wisely about your child's education and experience. Don't put your child in this school.

The food absolutely sucks, I would rather eat prison food before I ate the school food. The cheese…read morelooks plastic, as if they forgot to take the plastic wrap off of the cheese before heating it up. Also, one of the bathrooms doesn't have soap, not like it ran out of soap but there isn't even a soap dispenser. And the most of the teachers care about the student butt the administration does not care about us. All though this school kinda sucks at least the students are nice.

My daughter went to an amazing Montessori school since kindergarten but her performance wasn't up…read moreto par. We thought of retaining her a year (we pushed her a year in pre-k so is is the youngest in her class) but Indian Ridge supported her in advancing to her normal school grade. We were assigned a counselor who successfully hand picked her teachers. Everyone at the school is gracious and helpful. My daughter finished the year with a straight A report card and received an achievement award. Her self esteem improved tremendously. In one of her classes there was a child with Down syndrome. I found it to be amazing that the school facilitated inclusion of Kids who are challenged. That girl was surrounded by loving friends and was as happy as can be. After so many years of 3 Kids in a nourishing Montessori environment, I have to say my fears of the "Public School System" are gone and replaced by satisfaction and appreciation. Great great school

Never go here.
