Okay...not the most professional place. I was in Denver and in desperate need of a massage. For $45/hour, I thought it was a great deal....I still do. However, they could be a bit more professional. While it was a decent massage, I know it wasn't the full hour. I don't remember the name of the woman who gave me my massage. During my massage she picked up 2 phone calls, since she brought the business phone into the room with her. I've never had that before. Then I could hear and feel her cell phone vibrate in her pocket a couple of times. She also stepped out of the room a couple of times to speak with new customers walking in. I just thought this was super unprofessional, which is how I know I didn't get a full hour massage because I arrived early and left before the hour. I also don't like places that want you to pay before getting your massage. She swiped my card for payment prior to the massage, and had me complete the tip section. read more

She then came back and said massage was done and another customer was waiting though my hour was not up. As I was leaving she asked if I forgot something. My sisters were in town and we stumbled upon this place accidentally. They only had two massage therapists working when we called to schedule and there are three of us. At first they said they would have to take two, then massage the third right after. We were fine with that. Within the hour they called to say that they invited another therapist in so that we could all go at the same time! I felt they went above and beyond to accommodate us. The massages were WONDERFUL! One word: Unprofessional. I get it... it's cheap, so I am willing to give some slack on the overall experience. But more than a few things went in a weird direction that will keep me from returning again. I opted for a 75 minute massage (priced at $60). I called ahead to make sure they would have availability to take me. When I was greeted, I was told to take off my clothes. Oh, and that I needed to pay before the massage. So, in case you're not getting the picture here, Im in my underwear shuffling through my things to pay someone for something that hasn't even begun. She then abruptly entered the room again and told me I needed to take my underwear off. When I asked if I could keep them on she gave me a very rude look and wouldn't take my simple request seriously. So there I was, getting butt ass naked while she watched me. Time to take a deep breath and let the odd nature of the encounter go. So that's what I did. Half way through, it was going well, I was relaxed, and then she decided she needed to curate a playlist for the occasion. Great, so now she's got one hand on my bare ass and another on her phone, churning through songs to get to, you guessed it, Taylor Swift. Not my first choice. I really would have rather the calm music that ya know, is like made for massages. Welp, the massage therapist was on her own planet at this point and started playing horrible music about Christ and Jesus and Joseph and the whole gang... and if that wasn't bad enough, she then started watching America's Got Talent. So now I have Howie fucking Mandel yelling in my ear and a phone leaning on my leg. Awesome. *takes deep breath to remember I already paid, and to try to relax as best I can* Well, now she is singing, talking to herself, and has left the room for the second time with the door wide open and my bare ass shining like the fullest moon in the darkest sky you've ever seen. Whatever. A massage is a massage. I needed it, so I'll pretty much take what I can get. On my way out she was waiting for me to sign and tip on the receipt. I left a 25% tip on account that the massage itself wasn't half bad and because she was a foot away legit staring holes through me. The second I lifted the pen she said "what does that say?" I said "$15". She SCOFFED. She looked at me like the Mexican President looks at Trump when he says Mexico is funding the wall. I said, "$12 is 20%. I am leaving you $15". She said "no, you need to leave $20" with as much sass as a 3 year old who wasn't invited to her own birthday party. I expressed my confusion, because I've had many services provided to me from many establishments, and am under a pretty strong impression that 20% is the norm. I've also never been told what to tip... so this is new territory for me. I was made to feel like a monster, when I really thought I was leaving her something well over what she deserved. If you get through this and still find yourself wanting to go, make sure you go commando, bring ear plugs, and have a crisp Jackson in your pocket to lay down regardless of your experience. I had booked a massage for my daughter and me at a different place; but they had a new employee working who was not familiar with the online scheduling tool, and so could not accommodate us. I then called New Star, and they were able to see us in 1 hour. The location is humble and unassuming on the outside, but the private rooms were well maintained and clean. The masseuses were very nice and skilled. I've had several massages in other places, and would rank the actual massage, alone, as one of the best I've received. The setting and linens were modest (a small towel-sized sheet as opposed to a twin flat sheet). I did not receive a lot of verbal instruction or guidance from my masseuse, but it was ok because I wasn't totally new to this.The price was very affordable and appropriate for the service provided. We enjoyed our massages very much and would definitely go back. read more

Lisa did a wonderful job today. I had a lot of pain in my lower back that was radiating downward and she identified the area and used enough pressure to really loosen up the muscles. I appreciated the acupressure aspect as well. Not overpriced and a good deep tissue massage. read more

I walked in without an appointment. She was able to take me in 30 minutes later. Excellent deep tissue massage. Focused on the areas I asked. Lisa was one of the best massages I have ever had. I will definitely be back. It wasn't the slow soft type you get at one of those chains. I stayed open to the experience, and it was incredible. I took my husband here for a neck and shoulder massage after days of pain. $45 for 1 hour. Not bad at all. One star subtracted for no instructions about drinking plenty of water after the massage to flush toxins and not being as much of a deep tissue massage as he was expecting, but overall he enjoyed it. read more

From the front it does not look like much but inside it looks very nice and clean and relaxing. Clean rooms and pleasant atmosphere.
