I'm it sure if this was a bad day for the older woman who massaged me, but I was in severe pain/bruising after her massage. I drove in from out of state, and me and my adult daughter wanted to get a much needed muscle work. I called beforehand to make sure they had availability, and we were greeted pleasantly. However, as soon as the woman began my session, I felt like I was getting abused. She was not gently at all. It was more like rough pushing, way too hard even though I said medium pressure. She flung the sheet over me without care. She was also sick because she had to leave the room to hack up her coughing and drink water. This was not what I wanted or needed. Not worth the price either. The next 2 days, my upper back and spine was bruised. I should have filed a complaint, but hope this message speaks for itself. So disappointed and hurt. read more

2 stars because the place was clean and they had great hours. I requested a full body massage, but only half of my body was massaged on top of the therapist's phone going off several times. I got a 30 minute massage for $50 and tipped 20% (which is industry standard). When I handed over the tip, the receptionist points to a paper on the desk and says this is the industry standard for tipping. They wanted 40%. Not worth it. Would not recommend. read more

The place looked nice when we walked in, reviews were good. It was clean. The room we were lead to for our massage looked nice. We were excited. My massage was decent but my partners therapist was preoccupied with her phone and not at all focused on the task at hand. Most of the massage was her leaving the room randomly (happened at least four times) or her massaging with one hand while texting. She also was laughing at her messages or trying to engage my therapist in conversation. He was professional and did not engage but none the less, it was distracting. When we paid I mentioned to her she shouldn't text while massaging a client and she was quite pissed with my advice. Save your money and go to Min's for twice the massage at half the cost. read more

Fair warning, there were no frills--no steam room, no robes, no skin care treatments, no offers of herbal tea. My masseuse didn't hardly speak or ask my preferences, except to warn me that the stones were hot. Nor was she overly concerned with my modesty. Linda just joined the staff and I followed her from where she used to work. She gives an excellent traditional Chinese massage, one of the best I have received in Denver, and I have tried more than a few places to try to find good ones. Very professional, knows what she is doing when using the palm of her hand, forearm, and elbow. For anyone who knows and appreciates a deep-tissue massage, this place is one of the best. Be prepared to have your muscles and limbs limbered up when you're done. Cross-stretching of my legs and arms really added to the feeling of receiving a great workout. If you have not had one before, you can tell her you would like to try one like Jim's! It will be a nice change occasionally from a Swedish massage. Btw, as with all massage spas, the house gets the massage fee. The masseuse gets only what is given for a tip. If you leave just $10 for an hour massage, they are working for about minimum wage. If you receive a good massage, especially from one who gives a deep-tissue (which requires a lot more work), consider leaving at least a $25 or $30 tip. Jim read more

Try to wear a tank and shorts or baggy pants because you are fully clothed for this massage and it will just be easier to massage your legs and arms. You go downstairs to a big quiet room with multiple lounge chairs. There's relaxing music playing and it's pretty dark but the massage is where it's at! Your feet soak in a hot bath for 30 minutes while your upper body gets massaged then they do your feet and legs then have you flip over for the last 20 minutes. What a perfect gem hidden in the corner of the King Soopers parking lot. They even give you a water and a punch card to work towards a free massage! I'll definitely be back! read more

I have been here twice. My first visit was for the 60 minute "therapeutic footbath massage". I suspect most Americans are unfamiliar with a foot massage. Try it! (and try it at Southmoor). This combination massage involves some time with your feet soaking in hot water while the therapist begins massaging your neck, shoulders, back, etc. heaven. After your feet have soaked a while the therapist attends to them. My wife had tried the hour long "full body massage", and was totally satisfied telling me I needed to try it. (And she is hard to impress!) Today I spoiled myself and gave that a go. My wife was completely correct. My therapist was named "Susan" and I received a fantastic therapeutic massage. A friendly face greeted me at the door and told me it was possible to just do a 30 minute foot massage since I was on a time crunch. Wow- I was in heaven the entire time!!! It was a nurturing experience (music and soft blanket as I laid back and had a wonderful foot massage.) My feet feel so much more rejuvenated and less sore today! I recently went to Southmoor for a quick body massage on my lunch break. They were very friendly and the massage was very good. What I appreciate even more than that however, was how quickly they got me in. I called at 10:50am because I had some terrible neck/shoulder pain (I swear there is a knot the size of a golf ball in my left shoulder) and I was able to get in to see them at 11am the same day! How neat is that? While I am still in pain (because let's face it, that's how chronic conditions work), it has been greatly decreased in severity thanks to the ladies at Southmoor Foot and Body Massage.
