Food: yummy cause I was really hungry but the sesame chicken was really tough cause it's was re fried for too long. If you get similarly tough meat just leave it over night to soggy up. The owners are actually my neighbors on Starr, and have been for most of my life! So, full disclosure, this may be a little biased. I love this place- I say this because if I call an order to pick up, it's ready in 10 minutes. The family owns and operates this corner gem, and have for as long as I can remember... They have never changed their recipes, and they never cheap out on baby corns in my mixed veggie orders! :) Their orange chicken, their chicken wings, their egg rolls, and their shrimp are PERFECTLY cooked. They're crisp when they need to be, and have just the right amounts of sauce. The area's been changing, but this place is a mainstay, and I really hope they never leave. Their prices have also managed to stay the same, and they have loyal regulars (like me and my family) that are devotees to their shrimp with mixed vegetables (I will keep repeating this because it's possibly their best dish). Conveniently located in the heart of Bushwick, New Sze offers all of your favorite greasy, salty, flavorful Chinese favorites with plenty of vegan options. The General Tso's bean curd is AMAZING-I was blown away by the perfect consistency of the tofu, and delicious sweet/spicy flavor balance in the sauce. The veggie lo mein and fried rice were also incredible. Low prices, and lightening fast delivery. The best authentic Chinese food I have had in Bushwick, since the tragic closing of Hing Long (RIP). I enjoyed the lo mien but that was all. I ordered spring rolls (thinking spring rolls are veggies only) when I received my order it was shrimp rolls. When I called she tried, to explain to me that "spring rolls also come with shrimp in it". Not to mention I ordered plain fried but there was onions and bean sprouts in the rice. Once getting a steamed mixed vegetable special. Sauce on the side for the calorie conscious. It was great. Today I went there again and got General Tso's Tofu. For anyone wondering about their GENERAL TSO'S TOFU- It is pretty OK. The sauce has a mild duck sauce flavoring to it. The tofu itself is cut into squares and on the flatter side. When you bite into it it has a chewy, rubbery consistency. read more

We have ordered from this place for Chinese takeout twice now and are pretty pleased. We got the crab Rangoons and the general tsos chicken and rice which was enough to feed two people. Some of the veggie dishes are too oily, but as with most take out chinese spots, they offer the 'special diet menu' with sauce on the side. Hot and sour soup is, I believe, the litmus test to most chinese fare. It is very hearty, full of fungi and bamboo at Sze's. The dumplings are huge. The shrimp toast portions are huge. This is legit Chinese restaurant. Ask for the Chinese menu. They have ox tail noodle soup in their Chinese menu. Not the best ox tail soup. But it still satisfied my occasional craving of noodle soup without going all the way to China town. People are super nice. They take their time to briefly explain items to me. But if u are trying their Chinese menu, be prepared to be adventurous. Some of items on the menu, I have no idea what it is. I only knew it's chicken with vegetables. It turned out to be good.
