This place has some really great hand-pulled noodles made on the spot! Tried out the Braised Beef Noodles. Noodles were just the right thickness and chewy. We ordered through UberEats for dinner. The packaging is really sturdy and kept everything in place. A+ for service. We ordered the braised beef noodle soups, cold cucumber side dish, and mala beef hot dry pot. The mala beef dry pot is addicting and not too hot, it keeps you coming back for seconds. Cucumber side dish is refreshing, garlic-y, and crunchy. Braised beef noodle soup has great flavor and is slightly spicy, so so comforting, there are some blanched bokchoi and green onions to add some greenery. We tried both the original Lanzhou and the Signature Lanzhou plus a Braised Beef Noodle (yes, we were hungry) and it was awesome!!! I've ordered from this place multiple times over the past year. It's such a relief to have a quality Chinese noodle soup place within delivery distance, as that's exceedingly rare to find when you're in Park Slope/South Slope. I usually go for the signature Lanzhou beef noodle soup. The noodles taste fresh and have a nice chew, and the soup is so steamy and comforting with a good level of spice. I do remember that I wasn't a fan of the cold noodles, though. They have an assortment of great appetizers and side dishes as well. The Chinese hamburger with lamb and cumin is super flavorful, giving Xi'an Famous Foods's version a run for its money. Perhaps my favorite cold appetizer is the mung bean noodles with mung bean jelly, oyster sauce, garlic, and spicy sauce. But be warned that it needs to be eaten fresh. It's terrible once you leave it in the fridge overnight. The marinated cucumber appetizer is tasty (it's one looong overall ribbon of cucumber, though, which makes it hard to portion out), as is the spicy and garlicky wood ear mushroom salad. read more

Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the signature hand pulled noodles with beef and eggplant salad. The Appetizer was delicious and generously portioned. The eggplant salad had plenty of garlic, sesame seeds and scallions submerged into the sauce. It was simply divine. Hand pulled noodles were neatly packed separately from the soup. The texture was bouncy and the soup was so good. I also had the can coconut milk and that came in handy after eating the chili oil with the noodles. Another covid-era delivery review... I would say, for our area, this is one of our defaults. When we're trying to decide what we want, and we give up on trying to find something new, this is one of the restaurants we fall back to, kinda by default. Why? It's consistently really good. They also have two dishes which I consider to be very special. And- wait for it- these dishes don't even got no meat! If you wanna try something truly special order the shredded potato salad or the Chinese "magic" shredded cabbage. Both actually pretty magical even if they got no meat. I'm also partial to the Chinese hamburger, pan fried noodles, beef braised noodle, and "monstrous" plate chicken. The roasted beef isn't that great and can use some improvement as they are thicker than normal. We had a great time here in door because we are the only two customers at 6pm. After our meal, the place started to have a few more people. Inside is very clean and spacious. You can treat yourself to a pull noodle show by the chef. They play popular Chinese music and I remember some of those which make the meal enjoyable. As for the line for takeout is pretty long and constant coming. As we left, there are about 5 to 6 group waiting for their order. I would advice to order ahead of time. I had the braised lamb noodle and it's decent. Nothing out of this world but the soup base is delicious. I would probably only pay for the soup if that's an option. We ordered delivery yesterday from DunHuang Miss Noodles and the food was really good. Every dish tasted authentic. However, the delivery and the handling/packaging of one of the items we ordered was really poor and caused the lid of a soup order to open during transport. The paper bag our food came in was covered and dripping with soup, and all of our food containers were covered in the soup. I'm really disappointed that I paid 26+ dollars for a beef soup I didn't even get to taste... in addition to having paid the high delivery fee. The restaurant should've packed it better and covered the whole container with plastic wrap or taped it to prevent this from happening to future customers. I didn't want to leave a bad review for this restaurant because their food was good and because all restaurants and businesses are suffering right now. So glad this restaurant finally opened! It's been under construction since I moved across the street two years ago, and I feared long ago it would never open! The interior is decorated very nicely. Definitely a potential date night spot--I'm assuming they will have a liquor license eventually but I forgot to ask. We ordered the eggplant salad to start. Really delicious tender eggplant in a garlic soy sauce. I love eggplant so I loved this. The server also brought us out the shredded potato salad on the house. It was not something I probably would have ordered but I was pleasantly surprised. Another tasty appetizer. I ordered the spicy oil noodles as my entree. Can't believe this beautifully decorated place finally opened in my neighborhood - I've been walking past the sign for the last 2 years! So happy to know that there's an authentic Chinese noodle soup restaurant in the neighborhood, perfect for the winter season when I'm craving something warm and filling. The ramen-like broths are tasty and savory; the fresh, handpulled noodles have the right kind of al dente chew. (You can even see one of the chefs creating the noodles from the window in the back!) Each dish was exceptional, as you can see by the pictures. They have daily specials so don't forget to ask about them. This is one of my favorite take out spots. The Braised Beef Soup with hand pulled noodles *ALWAYS* delivers. The broth has a slight kick and is so aromatic. The noodles are deliciously chewy. I always get double noodle because they're just too damn good. The wontons in red oil are also insanely flavorful and spicy. I'm not a huge spicy person but the depth of flavor had me continuously going back. My favorite dish by far is the Egg & Milk in fermented Rice Wine. I've never had anything like it, it's so comforting and sweet with a tang. The nuts add a crunch and the egg is subtle and delicious.
