We had a fabulous midwife in the States, and I really wanted to find a midwife here. After calling every midwife clinic in the area and being told "Sorry, July (our due month) is a busy month" and "You should've called us earlier in your pregnancy", I began to realize I might have to settle for a regular ob-gyn. Thankfully, as I was a few weeks from my third trimester, I got a call from a clinic I was on the waitlist for and they told me Zahra was accepting new clients! I immediately said yes! Zahra was wonderful during my pregnancy, delivery and postnatal care. She was always prepared with advice and a plethora of information. We never felt like she was judging us or was biased when discussing concerns we might have. She gave us information on both sides of the argument. She was always available to us, day or night. During my labor, which was complicated and prolonged (contractions started Monday, our LO arrived Thursday), she was my champion. She made sure the nurses and doctors never forgot about me and she was there when I needed her. And having her come to us for the first few weeks of our postnatal care was amazing and incredibly helpful! I highly recommend her!

I now believe that the addition of a compassionate and experienced doula is an absolutely invaluable resource for any couple planning and going through the birthing process. Immediately upon meeting Minette she gave off a warm and calming energy, essential qualities in my opinion for anyone assisting with a birth. We knew immediately she would be our doula. The birth of our son was a marathon. Thirty-six hours of labor, emotions, frustration, exhaustion and ultimately unbridled joy. Minette was there every moment comforting, assisting and supporting us throughout the entire experience. Quite frankly I don't know what I would have done without her. I say I because not only did she help my wife but she helped me. Minette is an excellent doula, a talented photographer and most importantly a kind and genuine person. I highly recommend her services and have no doubt that she will be an enormous asset to any couple going through the intensity of bringing a child into this world.

Lolli is…read moreprofessional, caring and compassionate and we were able to have an incredible safe and nurtured home birth as a result of her coaching. Labour was not as expected (is it ever? I don't know, I've only been through it once) and as two "planners" our expected labour, leading to a Plan A hospital birth turned into a Plan B home birth; without Lolli's unwavering support I don't know that we would have had the confidence to trust that we were safe and capable of bringing baby safely into the outside world at home. We are so happy that Lolli (and the rest of our team) supported us, educated us and empowered us to be open to different labour experience and delivery options. Imagine your genitals being cut for that long and Your a newborn feeling it all for a full 5 minutes. Cruel. I only saw this doctor because it was my first son and I had no idea about the procedure. My next 2 sons that were born saw DOCTOR POLLOCK in New Westminster, he was so amazing and they felt no pain during the 1 minute procedure. Their procedure is way better they use the mogen clamp (google it and you will see how amazing and quick it is) GO SEE DOCTOR POLLOCK ITS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY IF IT MEANS YOUR SON WILL NOT BE TRAUMATIZED.

Dr. Kim-Sing was efficient and informative when during the appointment and provided all the information we needed on recovery after the procedure.
