That was couple years ago n I won't go anywhere else now. Yes, sometimes u have to wait a while even though u had an appt, but this is because she gives all her patients enough face time, thoroughly evaluates you and genuinely cares about anything that could be wrong w/you. She takes same day appts and THAT is hard to find too. The office a beige, older house that was converted to an office on 112, but I go there for the service. Her nurses have all been great. Always very nice! Abid, the practice Mgr, is one of the warmest people ever and truly cares about their patients like Dr. Shilpee does. Christina at the front desk who makes all the appts and is prob the office Mgr always really does go above and beyond to get you in ASAP n very flexible w appts too. She cares just as much as everyone else there and WILL get you in. That's the most important thing. Dr. Shilpee is sweet and very knowledgeable. I've since referred my mom there who agrees w/everything said here n made her her GP as well. She just loves her very thorough care and won't go anywhere else for past couple yrs too. This yr I also got my boyfriend a 1st time appt so he can get his Covid test needed for travel n once again she scheduled him immediately. Now he goes for physicals and Covid tests regularly. It's an old-school, personal kind of care that you just don't experience very often anymore. Dr. Miller and his wife were both incredibly kind, warm, + genuine. They took the time to actually get to know me, asking about me and my background, and I never once felt rushed. You can immediately tell that they truly care about the people who walk through their door. Dr. Miller was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Before seeing him, I had been to CityMD twice and had also gone to the ER. I had been prescribed antibiotics and then steroids, but I still wasn't feeling better and didn't really feel like anyone had gotten to the bottom of what was going on. Within a quick examination, Dr Miller identified that I had post nasal drip and then took the time to go through everything with me...my symptoms, the medications I had been taking, what I had been eating, and what could potentially be causing the hives I originally came to see him for. What stood out to me most was that he genuinely wanted to figure out what was going on rather than simply prescribe me something and send me on my way. He explained everything, answered my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable and reassured throughout the entire visit. It has only been about a week since my appointment, and I'm so happy to say my hives have gone away and I'm feeling so much better. There is something so wholesome and special about this practice. It reminded me of the kind of personal, attentive care that feels increasingly rare nowadays. Dr. Miller and his wife are genuinely lovely people, and I am so grateful I found them!! For my first appointment, I was there from 8pm to 11pm! This practice is cash only, and SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS. I just got a letter saying they are sending my "overdue payment" to collections, when I know for a FACT that I paid, since I never, ever leave anywhere owing money ... and never received a bill before the 2 letters I received. So, I'm kind of pissed off right now at office management, but the doctor's a nice guy.

I know that when I go in for a visit that they are looking out for my well being and have always received proper referrals. Whenever I'm not feeling well, they have always made accommodations for me. I may have to wait a little longer to be seen, but, I do get seen and receive the proper attention and medications. Dr Azaz is, in my opinion, patient and will not rush you out. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.
