Had a hole, the size of Alaska but they did not see it and let this dress leave the store not once but twice with the same issue

The worse experience ever. To start the dress did not make to prom day since it was failing apart before we even left New Your lace. Bought this dress and thank goodness my baby wanted to try it on again. For if she had hanged it up like I wanted the day of the prom. We would have been crying. The zipper, gone. How. The upper part . Holes everywhere like little island. The train, oh boy . What train , the one with the hole the size of Alaska that the owner had the nerve to imply it was done by my daughter or I. Just adding injury to our wound . Run ‍ don't walk run away from this place Instead go here: https://ladyblacktie.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwsvujBhAXEiwA_UXnAAjjLrIR5OYPdvD0iv7XSAJj8O6OSwYtbBS1Wv8O6N4OLYstRBegKhoC4a0QAvD_BwE = The will treat you right and the dresses are heaven sent and the customer service ‼Plus no one will call you a liar after you spent $800 on their establishment ‼ Pictures says it all‼

I had to hire another planner who did the job in 3 weeks. I hired Veronica in May for my baby's birthday and 7 months later still nothing was done and she refused to give me back my money. She then texted me extremely threatening texts almost 3 months after my event to remove my one star review or she will sue me. She would then block me and then unblock me and continue to send threatening messages. This woman wants to keep her shady business practice behind wraps. She also threatened me about someone else leaving her a bad review. Her google reviews are mainly all one star reviews. She is the worst thing to ever happen to me. I wish I contacted the other party planning business before I came into contact with this evil person. I have included screen shots of her harassment. I have informed the police department and will take all legal measures should she continue to threaten and harass me. Her number is listed to show you she is the evil person behind these texts. Oh and she kept my money and did no work for what I paid her for. Keep that in mind. Google her. There is nothing but bad things written about her all over the internet let alone her google reviews. I should have read about all her unhappy customers and negative articles written To Veronica's comment: YOU are an absolute liar. I don't need to speak on whatever crap you're saying because a simple search of your google reviews will show all of the horrible reviews you have. If you google "blue ivy and Beyoncé" you can see articles of Beyoncé asking for a restraining order against this awful woman. Poor excuse for a human being! Literally everything she wrote in her response to my comment is a lie and don't entertain her BS! One simple google search will SHOW all her unhappy customers dating back YEARS!

Being in the wedding industry myself, I am extremely picky about who to entrust on our big day. Having a wealth of contacts to plan our own wedding, we undoubtedly knew Veronica was THE ONE for us! From our first interview with her she was on point, meticulous and had a back up plan for our "back up plan". She listened to our needs and wedding vision, kept me motivated and on time with my checklists and truly "got it". From day one I conveyed to her that we were looking for a "bulldog" day of coordinator/Superwoman that could handle a large wedding party (11 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen), large family, out of towner guests and whatever drama might enfold. I wanted someone as detailed as I am, if not more but who truly cares and understands the entire process. We found all that in Veronica, and then some! Her attention to detail is above and beyond. She has her templates, checklists and timelines down to a science. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch (at least that I am aware of). That's what I call a GREAT day of coordinator. I was never concerned or bothered by things that came up because it was fixed before I even knew about it. She was there for us until the very end which was 1:00 AM and was so attentive and checked in on us often!! LOVE that! By the way, she's so much fun and had a blast singing/dancing along with her and our FAB DJ. Our family and friends fell in love with her as well, that I almost forgot she was my planner. :) In a good way that is. She was extremely professional but was so down to earth, she was like family. She's a friend for life!! I highly recommend her and her team. In conclusion: Do yourself a favor, stop looking and call Veronica for your big day!

Bassy saved my wedding dress and my wedding day!…read more I had originally gone to another tailor recommended by the boutique where I purchased my strapless princess gown. Unfortunately, the work done at the other tailor's shop left my dress butchered. When I realized something was wrong with the original tailoring, it was two months before my wedding. I was distraught because I didn't think a new tailor would take me due to the limited time before my wedding and it being right before bridal and prom season. However, someone recommended I contact Bassy and I'm so grateful for their rec! Bassy listened to my concerns regarding my dress and what the other tailor had planned to do to it, advised me to take back my dress straight away, and booked me for an appointment ASAP. Within a week Bassy had me in her shop to assess all the damage that had been done by the previous tailor: (1) the hem was uneven by inches; (2) the train was lopsided; (3) the bustle was just a loop and a button that would be visible and unsecure; (4) the bodice was taken in so much that three people were needed to zip me up, which (5) left the zipper of my dress straining and puckering; (6) so much of the bust was trimmed away that my chest was exposed whenever I moved; and (7) they made a sash instead of the custom shawl I ordered for my ceremony. The worst part about the original tailoring work is that so much fabric was cut away there was barely any fabric left to correct the shoddy work. My dress was in really horrible shape and I knew I wouldn't be able to find or order another dress in time for my wedding. Despite the multiple problems with my dress, Bassy assured me she would find solutions for the above issues and she did! Bassy evened out the dress' hem by rehemming it and removing a portion of its petticoat to ensure it kissed the floor evenly. For the train, she adjusted it so it would be symmetrical and less oblong. It looked gorgeous trailing behind me as I walked down the aisle. The bodice was a tricky fix, but Bassy executed it perfectly! To expand the bodice, she needed extra fabric and found it within the seam allowance of the bodice's panels. She undid every panel, let out a little bit of fabric from each, and carefully stitched the bodice back up so that each panel was even and proportional. She was able to expand the bodice while also making it look like it hadn't been deconstructed. Bassy's work allowed me to properly breath while wearing my dress and my mother was able to zip me up by herself with no trouble! Bassy also created a custom shawl for me that looked like something Audrey Hepburn would wear! The attention to detail is so incredible! Bassy made the shawl so there was a slight curve in the front that elegantly hugs my collar bone. I love this shawl so much I plan to continue wearing it for special events. The most incredible fix Bassy made to my dress is the bust. I thought I'd have to wear my shawl the entire wedding. Instead, she came up with the incredible idea to build up the bust of my dress with additional fabric. The original bust had a cat eye neckline with draping across it. Bassy was able to expand the bust above my chest and next to my underarms to give me more coverage. She did this by building up fabric that mimics the original bustline's shape. The final result is beautiful! No one would ever know that the work Bassy did was not part of the dress' original design. I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing and transformative work Bassy did to my dress, her professionalism, her expert advice, and her direct and honest communication. She always set realistic expectations and provided alternative solutions that would not compromise the integrity of my dress or its overall style. Bassy is also just a lovely person to be around. I was really sad about the state my dress was left in by the previous tailor. With each visit to Bassy's (and she booked me for as many as needed to get my dress perfect), I felt better and more confident. Bassy saved my dress, my wedding, and my peace of mind. THANK YOU BASSY!!!

Bassy hemmed several pairs of pants, took in the waist on others, and completely altered a vintage dress for me. The dress needed extra room, and she expertly removed the belt and expanded the side seams so seamlessly that you would never be able to tell any alterations were made. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are absolutely unbelievable. Bassy is truly a talented artist, and her work speaks for itself. If you need tailoring or alterations done right, I cannot recommend her enough. Absolutely exceptional work!

From the absolutely beautiful interior design to the spacious dance floor, large bar, and seating tables, we knew we wanted CCB to host the greatest event of our lives! The day we toured, we were provided with a thorough packet of options, flexible and fair payment plans, and a detailed timeline of events, making the organizational component of this experience flawless. We booked our wedding fairly far out, but CCB continued to reach out and connect with us over the course of two years. As our wedding day got closer, they provided efficient in-person meetings where we never felt rushed and always felt welcomed to create our perfect day. Throughout the planning process, we worked closely with Stacy, Drew, Matt, and Tim (and many others), who all displayed such professionalism while also having charismatic personalities that were contagious! In those meetings, we didn't just plan; we got to know the CCB family more and shared a lot of laughs. The CCB tasting event was an evening my husband, myself, and our parents will cherish forever! It was an incredible night that allowed us to really dive deeper into our wants and needs for the wedding, leaving us feeling confident in all of our choices. With that being said, the food offered through CCB was absolutely delicious! Throughout the entire planning process, the Canoe Club would respond to emails very quickly and with great detail. They even had documents that made collecting meals for our guests easy. We never felt lost in the process and never felt unheard in our requests. It was no surprise that the professional vendors associated with the CCB were all exceptional as well. I cannot even begin to explain the amount of time and energy we saved by having incredible options from trusted professionals built into the Everything But The Dress program! For the vendors we used who were not associated with the venue, CCB was very accommodating. They completed all the organizing between space and equipment needs, as well as coordinated timelines. Everyone was so friendly and talented in their profession. We believe it speaks volumes about the excellence of the Canoe Club that everyone was able to work so seamlessly together! My husband and I still talk about how truly impressive it was that the Canoe Club was on top of everything on the day of our wedding! We were provided a day-of wedding coordinator who kept our bridal parties on track and allowed us to follow the timeline of events we envisioned for our day. We were also so pleased with how well they set everything up and made all of our hard work come to life! We never had to stress about anything on our wedding day, and we were even handed our signature cocktails right after saying our "I dos!" Our guests still comment on how kind all of the people working with CCB were to them. It felt so wonderful to have a venue that wanted the absolute best for us and our guests! We would recommend the Canoe Club Ballroom to anyone and everyone without hesitation. We firmly believe that if you book your wedding with them, you will have the same beautiful, fun, and special day without the very common wedding planning stressors! Thank you CCB and all of your employees for your patience, time, support, and kindness in making our wedding day the best day of our lives with our friends and family!

Upon arrival it seemed very hectic in there and unorganized, but I'm not a seamstress nor have I ever worked in that environment so I just dismissed it. I had dropped my dress off on September 21. I needed the straps adjusted, a hem, and I needed it taken in to eliminate the gap between my back and the dress. The seamstress told me there was no need to take it in, once everything else is done there will be no gap. I thought it was odd, but again I'm not a seamstress so I didn't think anything of it. She told me to return on October 17th to pick up the dress since my wedding would be just about 2 weeks away at the point. I arrived on the 17th eager to pick up my dress which slowly turned into what would be a ball of anxiety.. 5 minutes go by they couldn't find it, 10 minutes go by, still no dress. Finally they find it and it wasn't ready. They said it was because they had a question about the bustle which we had already confirmed all of this information in September when we dropped it off. We leave and she tells us to return the following Monday (Oct 21) to pick it up. We go to pick it up, I try on the dress and instantly begin to panic. The huge gab between my back and dress is still there and to top it off there is a stain on the train. We mention it to her while we're at the shop and she tells us not to worry about it you can barely see it.... you can 100% see the stain. We leave and send her a message once again addressing the stain, she was incredibly rude and insisted we put up a fight with the dress company for sending us a dirty dress. We sent her before pictures of what the dress looked like before we brought it to her and then how we left with it. Again, incredibly rude and insisted it wasn't her. She told us she's not scared of a review that we leave so I assume she won't mind this one. Brides, do NOT bring your dress here!!!!!! The last photo is how it arrived and the first 3 are how it came home.
