Dr Tal actually helped me to change my relationship with sleep. I no longer fear a "bad" night. I'm…read morefalling asleep quickly (most of the time) and sleep 7 1/2- 8 hours a night. If I can't fall asleep right away, I've learned that that's okay, no harm done. I highly recommend Dr Tal if you are looking to improve your sleep quality and change your attitude towards sleep. He's the best!

I had been suffering from insomnia since I was a pre-teen. As I aged, it deteriorated to the point…read morethat three hours a night was my usual pattern. Drugs, marijuana...nothing helped. I read the article about behavior therapy in the Times and I picked Dr. Tal just because he had a good review and was nearby. The first couple of weeks were a struggle. But he had said something important, which, at the time, seemed inconsequential. He gave me permission to not worry about not sleeping. As time went on, he gave me another piece of advice. The bed was only for sleeping and sex. If I were to wake up in the middle of the night, I should get out of bed and read till I felt sleepy. That permission not to worry, the simple trick of getting out of bed, and the exercises began to work like a charm. But I wasn't totally over the hump yet. Finally, we had a disagreement about something and I was about annoyed and thought about quitting. His response to my disagreement was so amazing. I had never met a therapist who was so thoughtful and kind, who respected me like that. So I decided to stick with him, because of the respect he showed me and because I had started to made some progress. . That did it!! I started sleeping longer stretches. When I woke up too early, I got out of bed and read. I never lasted more than 15 minutes awake. It was like a train gathering steam. I began to sleep soundly and longer, began to dream again. I now to sleep around 7 hours a night, with occasional nights of 8 to 10 hours. This has lasted over a month. Somehow, the simple things he suggested worked. But it was clearly his thoughtfulness and skill which make this journey successful. Of course, I still have an occasional hard night. But they occur very infrequently. And most importantly, I no longer worry about it, because I know I will be successful the next night. Thank you Dr. Tal for being SO skillful and for being such a good guy.

Basically I'd really needed to see an ENT since college when I started getting intermittent tonsil…read moreinfections. They've subsided considerably since I left the cesspool of germs that is a university dorm, but from time to time I get weird sore throats, and as a singer this is troubling. I made an appointment with Dr. Park based on nothing more than his proximity to my apartment (and his acceptance of my insurance), but the treatment and diagnosis I got was nothing short of life-changing. Based on a endoscope, and a few questions, Dr. Park figured out what was causing my sore throats and gave me practical, simple things to change about my lifestyle that would help. He didn't rush to medicate me, he took time to hear my concerns and questions, and really gave me some great insights into how to keep my throat healthy. Also, his office is run entirely with Macs. I love this man.

When you make an appointment, you actually see him at that time, and the office is never too busy so you're in and out. He gave me some lifestyle tips on how to clear what I thought was a sinus infection (apparently everything looked fine). I trust the expert to tell me that there is no huge problem. He is an expert on sleeping and breathing right as well. After the visit, I got newsletters in the mail, and even got a coffee mug. Who doesn't love free door prizes? The office is spacious and clean, just how a doctor's office should look like, and right in the heart of Columbus Circle. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

The doctors are phenomenal. I have been seeing Amanda for a year after she diagnosed occipital…read moreneuralgia and she's been incredible. However the desk staff is horrendous. I recently had to call and move an appointment (after they moved a different one of mine) and they had only 2 other times available for over a month (unfortunately both of which I am at work in another state). The front desk person was argumentative and rude when I told her I was frustrated with the lack of flexibility (and just wanted it noted so doctors were aware)--especially since they had pushed my other appointment out which left me with a longer gap. She instead continued to argue with me that they weren't inflexible and had availability, it just didn't work for me. (Again 2 options in over a month isn't super flexible but that's fine, I know they are busy it was just my opinion ). When I told her I didn't want to argue I just wanted to confirm next steps and share that I was frustrated for it to be noted, she hung up.
