They are liars. They asked for my mobile number as part of signing up to file taxes. Then they…read moreimmediately texted me. There was no request to text and no checkbox selected stating it was ok to text me. So this is a TCPA violation and I told them so. The employee said she was required to text me and I said no don't text me. Then she said I can remove you but you don't have to be so rude about it. I fail to see where the rudeness came in telling them not to text me when they had no consent and mentioning TCPA. I was asked to sit in the waiting room and documents were taken into the back where apparently the employee began to cry over our conversation? So another employee came out with an attitude, said I made their employee cry then told me to leave. Sorry but if the employee cried after our conversation something else was clearly bothering them. I was not rude to anyone until they copped an attitude with me. However since they chose to make me leave over an obvious lie, they don't deserve my business or anyone else's. It won't let me select Zero stars. But since I'm forced I'll credit them one for working in such a rough neighborhood. That's still no excuse to treat people the way they just treated me.

I heard back from the state police in late November, 2016 and found that there were still "MC" numbers left on my record and also my BMV record had not been cleared of DUI's, which, according to the statute is part of the expungement process. I informed Ivan of this, to which he responded by saying he would take care of the MC numbers but wanted to wait another month, to see if the BMV was possibly taking a little longer. Seems fair enough, I thought. So, after a month I checked my BMV record and the DUIs were still showing up. I called Ivan and told him this. He first just tried to end the conversation by saying "well, ok then". Really, Ivan? That's all you have to say about it. I told him from the beginning that the BMV issue is very important to me and he assured me it would be taken care of. Now he is trying to avoid dealing with it. After telling him, again, that I need my motor vehicle record taken care of, he responded by telling me that a potential employer "might not even check." WOW!!! REALLY?!?!? You've got to be joking me. After I assured him that an employer would be checking my driving record, he then tried to tell me to wait another 3 weeks, which I didn't want to do, because I had contacted the BMV myself and they told me they had no record of any expungement paperwork for me. So he told me he was going to call the BMV and see what was going on and to give him 2 weeks. On top of that, the MC numbers hadn't been taken care of, either. So, after not hearing from him in over 2 weeks, I called him. I asked him if he had called the BMV, and he responded by completely avoiding answering the question and giving me a bunch of crap about how the law is less than a year old and "there is no infrastructure" and blah blah blah, and said that he would get the MC numbers taken care of for me, of course completely avoiding the BMV issue. So, once I point blank asked him about taking care of the BMV record, he said he would call them in a few days. Fast forward 2 more weeks. Its now late January. I sent him a text asking him about the MC numbers and the BMV issue. The MC numbers hadn't been taken care of, but he did FINALLY file the paperwork for the MC numbers. Of course, he didn't address the BMV issue. I had to ask him, again, separately from my original text about when he was going to take care of it. His response was, and I quote, "when I have time". Well that was the last straw. He had been giving me the run around the whole time and lied so many times to me that I was done with him. I got my paperwork from him and got it to another attorney who is fixing the issue for me. I will be filing in small claims court against Ivan Arnaez. All in all, my experience with Ivan Arnaez was absolutely horrible and I would highly suggest to anyone thinking of using this attorney to run, don't walk, far far away from him.

Ivan is the type of attorney that will scare the shit out of the other party. He is not only surprisingly passionate about his work but he's extremely knowledgeable and is always 20 steps ahead of everyone else. He doesn't fight dirty but he also doesn't let up. The opposing counsel at the time made a remark to my husband about how Arnaez has perfected the art of moving people with his words. He's a quick one and knows how to work a room. (I think the pace at which he operates has a lot to do with being from New York). He makes it all look easy, too. I also have to state that he's very reassuring when you come up with a concern. I fared very well while my separation was going on, but my husband and I decided to reconcile. Had we not, I have zero doubt that we would have kept that nice momentum until the end. If you want to grab a situation by the balls, call this guy!!
