I was cringing at the idea of going to the dump to actually pay to have them get rid of all this metal. Then, I learned that I could actually sell it at Apick! The friendly staff weighed our metal and gave us some money for it. Not a lot of money, but some, which is much better than ....the alternative: paying a dump to get rid of it for you (and they would likely just resell it to some scrap metal folks). You would'nt see a red cent. At Apick, we got some cash for our old metal stuff. It helps if, before you go, you sort your offerings into Ferrous vs. Nonferrous. Basically, if it is Ferrous, a magnet will stick to it; however, a magnet does not cling to a non ferrous metal. It is a good idea to perform these tests with a little magnet before you go. Next time you have to clean out your garage or throw away some metal things (like appliances) remember Apick, and grab a magnet from your fridge.

I used them specifically because their website claimed that they donate/repurposed items that are in good condition. We had a few items that were definitely in better than "good" condition, but sadly we had no way of getting the items to a donation location. Among the items was a solid wood futon that was used maybe a dozen times (only slept on once), a dining room table that had just been refinished in 2023, and a sofa that we cleaned specifically so that it could be donated. All of these items were in great condition (and from a smoke free home) until these clowns showed up. Instead of taking stuff apart (which I offered to do), and before I could say anything, they turned my futon and dining room table into kindling by stomping on them. They threw the sofa upside down into the filthy truck, so you know that wasn't being donated, not to mention the space under the sofa could have been used to take the few items that they had to leave behind for lack of space. I managed to rescue a few boxes so that I could donate them. In addition to this, they took a box clearly marked as containing a full set of dishes and chucked it at the truck, only they missed the truck, and the dishes broke in the driveway. To make matters worse they left most of the broken glass in the driveway. Unfortunately, it wasn't until my Neighbour had told me what had happened that I knew the glass was from them, so I just cleaned it up without taking pictures. For this they charged me almost $800. I was in a bit of shock by what I had witnessed, and I just wanted these people to leave, so I did pay deciding to just deal with the company directly...for all the good that did. I had used this company in Brockville to help get stuff out of my father's apartment after he passed away. I used them for the same reason, that they claimed to donate items. The team was amazing, they removed a sofa bed, 2 large recliners, coffee and end tables, a shelving unit, 2 nightstands and 17 boxes...far more than the team took from my place in Kingston. In Brockville, I was only charged $350 for a quarter of a truck that was packed neatly. In Kingston, I was charged $780 to have stuff smashed to pieces and just thrown on the truck with no concern for maximizing space. While I now don't believe that anything was donated in Brockville either, that team at least had the decency to lie to me and not trash the stuff right in front of me. I submitted a complaint via email to the company, and I posted on their social media page, they requested the details of the visit, but offered nothing in return. To this day I haven't heard back from them. The to add insult to injury, today I received a marketing email falsely promoting that they recycle or repurpose items. If you're looking for an expensive way to get rid of garbage, then this is the company for you. However, do not get fooled by their lie that items are repurposed or donated as they definitely are not.

It has Leather Sleeves on which the Elasticized Cloth Storm Cuffs had frayed over time and the Zipper in the Jacket needed Replacing. A nice warm Fall/Winter Coat, the owner looked my Prized GM Embroidered Chevrolet Coat over carefully and advised me confidently she could and would fix it up and we agreed on a Price. Within about a week or so, I got a Call the Coat was ready to be picked up and by golly it was and I could hardly believe it, looked as if New again! They even got the little rolled up Fuzz Balls off the Cloth Body of the Coat to Boot !!! Now, the stitching has let go in the seam under one arm as well as the Pockets needing replacing. I plan on taking it there again to be repaired. The Coat has Sentimental Value to me as the one who Encouraged me to enter a Draw for it and ended up awarding it to me after I won it has now Passed on and I have Very little doubt that she can't fix it. I'm going there Saturday Jan.04th-2025 to ask. I found Honest Likeable Staff and Quality Work and Pricing. I come from Ajax and it was well worth the drive. Why I'm going back.

Put in a claim. almost Two weeks went by and no one had contacted me regarding the claim. after sending email with pictures. Over the week I called 4 times, never reaching a live person, having to leave voice message Each time. Was finally contacted to say claim was submitted and being processed. Two weeks later no contact again from anyone. Over the following two weeks 4 phone calls were not returned. Called a 5th time, only this time I went to the sales line, which is always manned by a live person. And as expected, call was immediately answered by a live agent in Customer Service, where again, I left a message requesting a callback from the Ajax location to call me. Message was delivered Thursday June 18 approx 2pm. Will update when I receive my callback.

I had two storage units at this facility. The climate controlled ones are great. Clean and easy to use and get to. Also had two outdoor units and they were problem-free. After one year of having all my items in the units here, everything came out just as I had placed it in there. Zero issues. All items kept safe n' sound. If I ever need storage again, I will certainly go here! Hope to never need it again though. 5++++ stars!!

Good service, honest pricing and good quality. They send the dry cleaning out to be professionally done at a very reasonable price. I think they will be bringing in some machines soon to also offer basic alterations like pants hemming. I'm excited to see the place after renovations are done. I will say, I know the owner and they did the most amazing job cleaning my very gross looking UGGs. I don't even usually care to clean it but I really messed it up this year with the salt and dirty snow. I didn't want to store it with my clean stuff in that condition. Obviously, our winters are extremely long and I've since worn them again, but I know who I'm bringing it to at the end of the season! Parking is a bit tricky depending what time you come but there's always someone leaving so I haven't ever really had to park super far. I've only been here on weekends though. I feel like weekdays it's probably not a problem. Someone else can probably speak more to that. Anyway if you're looking for a reliable dry cleaners, I definitely recommend this place.
