I visited on the 2nd day of opening and the trees by the entrance weren't planted yet and there were 2-3 staff members at the front. Self checkout wasn't working yet. There is plenty of parking space outside. There are also two EV charging stations for the environmentally conscious. The only annoying thing about driving was that the entrance faces double-yellow lines, so you can only turn in (and out) going west. The inside of the library is really nice, with high ceilings and lots of windows that let in natural light. I noticed the start of a coffee bar, which should be a nice addition. There are tons of stocked shelves, but also quite a number that are still empty. There are many comfortable chairs throughout the library, including a few C-shaped chairs outside the children's books section. In the middle of the library is an outdoor courtyard to enjoy during the sunny summer months. One of the nice features of the library are the numerous semi-private rooms. The rooms are encased in see-through colored glass, so you can see if they're occupied. There's also a computer lab with small form factor HP desktops. For those with their own mobile devices or laptops, free wifi is also available.

Want to host a meeting? Book out a room. What to record a podcast? No problem. Want to use a 3D Printer? We got a few, son! Want to sit on a rooftop freaking patio and relax? Welcome home. Never mind the vast library of video games, Blu-Rays, audiobooks, this place has it all. I love that they even have exercise bikes set up so you can get a workout in while you read. Like what?? Insane. What a win for the city of Vaughan.

It's easy to walk around and take in the details, with plenty of spots for photos. The guided areas are informative, though some parts are crowded during peak hours. The surrounding courtyard is peaceful and perfect for a short break. Staff are helpful and polite when approached for information. Ventilation is good. The spaciousness kind of dampens the sound, like a vacuum lol. It was so incredibly quiet. Like I saw people's mouths moving, having conversations, but no sound. It had to be one of the best study sessions I've had. Even though I didn't come here to read, the shelves were so neatly organized. I liked that each shelf had one featured book on display. And I loved the long wooden tables with short lamps, kind of an ode old campus libraries. One thing I appreciate is the amount and variety of study space provided. Every spot is equipped with power outlets like a priority. Very study-oriented. Location-wise, the fact that it's next to Promenade Mall means food & drink is conveniently nearby, and you can return to resume studies. I'm not from this area; I've been kind of library-hopping recently lol; but this library definitely left a good impression and I would come back here if the chance arises.

Bathurst Clark Resource Library is located right behind Promenade Mall…read more Suburbs' libraries can be really boring especially in the newer subdivisions because I have to say Bathurst Clark Library really lacks any architectural value as a building itself. The inside though is quite nice.. high ceiling.. 2 storeys high.. really open and spacious. There are also some curious love seats... on the right hand side when you enter.. really popular with teenagers. Those have really heavy padded cushions, looks so comfy! I am not that lucky to have one of those lover's seats. However, there are tons of communal tables that have individual study lamps and power bars all wired underneath the tables.. that makes my search for power for my laptop really effortless! WIFI connection is stable and fast. If you do need to use their public computers, a library card is required to sign in. Vaughan's Public Library is the only libraries I been to that has computer terminals that are equipped with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Atmosphere here is more formal.. everyone are whispering and there are no kids running around! :)

Whitby Public Library has all the bell and the whistles and anything that I want in my dream library... I think I can even organize my "dream" wedding here! The only problem is the limited number of parking spots. Only around 15 or so for a large library this size (it has more computer terminals than parking lots!!) Of course there are some reasonable municipal parking lots right next to the library at 50 cents a hour and free on evenings, weekends and holidays.

So I opened up yelp and came across this one not to far from school. The building looks very pretty. And the inside is nice and quiet. Very organized and clean. There are two levels one has a few computers in the far corners and the second level has some tables and couches to do some work. Asides from having books on both floors. It also has a cafe in the building, which was neat. I haven't seen a library with a cafe before. I had chosen the couch spot to do some work and sit by the fireplace since it was cold outside. It was quiet and I was able to finish a lot of work while I was there. I would definitely recommend this library to groups as well, since they have rooms you can book to do group assignments. The only thing I would say sucks is the parking, I wasn't able to find parking near the library so I had to park at a P lot, which wasn't too expensive. $1 for 1 hour.

The lights reminds me of moons and stars. Open concept space with comfy colourful seats and ledges that showcase books. You can also sit on the ledges below the moon and stars lighting as you can see in my pics. This is one fun library! They have 3D printing and button making for free on the daily!! There was a game by the kid section of the library and there was a sticker station (not sure if this is offered on the daily). The 3d printing allows you to make miniature toys and learn how to design your 3d art. There is a two hour limit on the 3d printing. Very enjoyable!

Richmond Hill Central Library is quite nice…read more.. I love the open and green area in front of the library. The little coffee shop inside the main floor that allows you to buy a drink and sip while relaxing is a great idea. The whole third floor is a quiet zone... big signs telling you what you allow to do or not allow to do. I love those arm chairs facing the big windows... comfy and have a great view! But why 2 star?!! You have to have a library card in order to use their WIFI!! So if you are not a resident of Richmond Hill... you are out of luck!! BOO!!!!!!!!

Growing up in "the Hill" this library (and it's original location) were my local spots for picture…read morebooks, read alongs, summer camps, tobogganing and young adult books (big ups to R.L Stein and Christopher Pike)! Later in life, my high school exam periods were spent here on weekends when not working, studying for tests and getting work done when home seemed too busy to get anything done. Later still in University, I continued to seek solace here from the world outside when I came home from Waterloo on weekends and needed to get things done. It was always a positive study experience. Provided you arrived early enough (aka at opening) and managed to out run the teems of people racing you for a prime seat by a window). I always thought it funny to watch people run like they're about to miss out on a big sale or their bus, up stairs, pushing one another over just for a seat. These days the library is packed with student, you cannot get a seat anytime of day and folks spend a lot of time flirting and talking on their phone in the stacks whilst occupying limited study/work retail. Blah! Not to mention the Wifi is spotty and restricted (no streaming or video watching... not even Youtube) and the cafe on the main floor (which has been there since day 1 of this location) is over-priced and low quality at the best of times. I can't totally slam the place, it's still one of the largest public libraries in the GTA and a central focal point in Richmond Hill as you drive North on Yonge approaching Major Mackenzie. I'll be back again I'm sure, for now it's coffee shops for my working needs!
