I rented a storage unit here for a short amount of time and it was a good experience. The price is competitive, the storage units aren't visible from the street, and the units are accessible 24 hours a day. They also sell locks for people that don't already have their own. One downside is that it's not well-lit, so it's hard to get things from the units at night. Also, the receptionist I always saw didn't seem happy to be there. She seemed pretty nice but it would have been a little better if she seemed happier with her job. There were also some minor problems, but they were able to fix them. The unit I was given had a broken latch; the lock would be on securely and the door would still open because the latch wasn't sturdy. They were able to move me to another unit though. I also gave them the required 5 days notice upon leaving before the next month rent was due, and a week later I got a notice saying my rental payment was late. But after calling them, they explained that their system was just slow and that I was all set. read more

Anyone who has ever rented a car or a truck knows that you have to return the vehicle with the gas tank full - or, they will charge you to fill the tank at their rate. After renting a Budget truck for my move, I picked up my truck on a Saturday and was only given 1 location to drop it off on Sunday in Newmarket NH. Knowing I had to leave the truck full I stopped 1 mile prior to getting to this Budget Rental agents location and filled the gas tank. When the gas was ready to spill out I forced the last $1 in and quickly brought the truck to the drop off location. First she started yelling at me that the gas tank was not full and quickly questioned weather I had a receipt. I was never told to do this, only bring the truck back full. When she discovered I didn't have a receipt she could barely contain herself knowing she would be charging my card anyway by making up stories and fraudulently charging my credit card she had access to. I told her I would take this up with Budget and that I was not about to be taken advantage of. She then proceeded to charge my card for fuel that apparently went into another truck as there was no possible way any more gas would have went into the truck I rented. She also lied to Budget saying the tank was 1/3 of the way full when I returned it, This is a nice quick way for this criminal to start racking up money from unsuspecting people. Budget agreed to refund the $30 refueling fee but I am still out the $18 she stole. She also happens to run a self storage business and I can only imagine how much extra revenue she is racking up in stealing money from unsuspecting people's credit cards she might have on file. It's about time this company is called out and the thief running this business is called out. read more

I have been using Newmarket storage for over 3 years. I basically have my mom's whole house in storage there. I live in Arizona and we have communicated often over the years. I feel like I am talking to friends when I call. The site itself is very secure so I never need to worry. I was recently back to visit and my things are safe and sound.
