In May 2024, our company hired NewPoint Law Group to represent us in a pre-litigation matter, which later turned into a lawsuit that concluded in May 2026. Overall, our company had a very poor experience. We experienced significant staff turnover during the first year of our representation, which impacted continuity. In our experience, communication was lacking--we felt that steps were taken without our prior input and at times contrary to our instructions. Additionally, we felt the attorneys did not adequately prepare us or clearly explain options so we could make informed decisions. We were even billed for communications regarding internal staff resignations. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this firm. read more

My experience with NewPoint Law Group was extremely disappointing. My issue was never with paying for legitimate legal work. My issue was the lack of transparency, communication, and accountability throughout my case. I repeatedly asked about costs while my matter was being handled and was consistently told not to worry. The only billing communication I received before July was an April 6 email showing a balance of $861.48. I did not receive the monthly invoices the firm later claimed had been sent. Then, months later, I was unexpectedly informed that I owed approximately $4,000. In addition to the billing concerns, there were significant problems with the handling of my case. One filing error delayed my case by more than three weeks, and I was only informed about it by phone rather than in writing. On another occasion, paperwork was filed incorrectly, and I had to personally go back to court and refile the documents myself to correct the firm's error. That should never have been the client's responsibility. When I raised these concerns, I felt that my experience was dismissed instead of acknowledged. Rather than addressing the communication issues, the firm maintained that everything had been handled properly, despite my repeated concerns and the lack of billing information I actually received. Clients deserve accurate filings, timely written updates, and clear communication about legal fees as they accumulate. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with NewPoint Law Group. If you choose to work with this firm, I strongly recommend requesting written updates on your case, asking for detailed billing statements regularly, and carefully reviewing every filing made on your behalf. read more

I paid legal services month after month after month, year after year after year....One day, I got a call from the honorable judge Brown and the OPC...could you imaging how shocked I was to hear that my case had been dropped by Mr. Skyler! " Skyler who ? " my lawyer was Rob Enos and my lawyer on contract was Keith Dunnagan. After 5 years my case was salvaged by Judge Brown. I wrote a rather brutal review of NewPoint Law on October 19 which sadly was completely accurate and true. But something happened this evening that has prompted another review from me. I'm still giving a one star, but need to clarify that my feelings about the firm have changed. Why? I got a call from Corey Hall, who has recently merged with NewPoint in Sacramento. He was very concerned about my complaint and wanted to hear my story. We had a great conversation, and from his tone, expressions of concern, and understanding and acceptance of why I wrote that review, I feel he will make the changes necessary so no other clients suffer the neglect and dismissal I received. He is very conscientious and caring, and committed to taking good care of his clients. The firm is going through a difficult transition, but with Corey Hall at the helm, I have every belief things will greatly improve. I feel Mr. Hall is honest, caring and committed and has the wherewithal to improve service to the firm's clients. Would be rather weary of the firm. I consulted for business formation with Brown. Unimpressed with his communication and knowledge. Could have just been him on an off day but I am not sure the firm actually knows what it is doing. Skeptical of the billing practices here as well. It seems that this firm is really several firms masquerading as one, with several corporate names all doing business from the same office, with the same staff members working for multiple companies. I cannot see how they can commit to clients. Also, the multiple companies seems like they are a flight risk. I wasn't impressed and would stay away. On a side note, the receptionist seemed rather nice. So that's a small plus. read more
